Boelcke Heating & AC

I called this company to address a blocked drain in my basement. I had water standing and the drain wouldn't drain. Trevor Martin was the plumber who arrived and immediately started telling me that they don't guarantee their work. He started by telling me that their charge is $350. Even though I thought that was high I agreed. He ran a power snake about two feet into the drain and got stuck. He pulled it out and told me that the pipe was collapsed. He was at my house 15 minutes. I received a bill for $250 which included "Clear Laundry Floor Drain" for $200 and "Evaluation service call fee" for $50. I called another plumber who ran a scope down, saw that the pipe was not collapsed and cleared the clog. When I called Boelcke to complain, I was told that Trevor had noted that I had used bad language with him. I did not nor would I ever do that to a tech. Begrudgingly, they wrote off the bill. I asked to have the manager call me and they ended the call quickly. This company tried to scam me for services they didn't perform and then blamed me for bad language. Beware. Use someone else as there are many reputable plumbers.

Sales and install actually went quite good. Prompt and accurate service across the board. We talked with three different companies and pricing was very similiar. They worked with us to get the right system for us in our budget range and didn't try to upsell us. Overall a good experience with a local company.

They came out gave me all my options and after viewing my requirements made some recommendations. There was no pressure, I was able to view all the info and make my decision. After I selected my unit they got it ordered and installed within a few days. The install team was on time, very experienced and professional. Great experience, made me feel comfortable with such a large purchase. I strongly recommend Boelcke.

Our A/C was not cooling well on hot days (when you need it most). Dave arrived about 12:20 pm, and did a fine job of looking for potential problem areas inside the house. He then checked the compressor outside, cleaned the fins very well, and definitely identified there was a problem. We did end up adding about a lb. of coolant, but he also determined that there is an incorrect part that is causing the unit to not cool properly. Because we are basically house-sitting for only another year, we decided to watch the cooling for a while and then determine how to approach the problem with the owners (since this repair will be expensive, and the unit is pretty old). During his visit, our cat slipped out of the house, and Dave even helped look for him! Very knowledgeable, super nice guy, professional, and patient! I would absolutely recommend Boelcke to anyone needing A/C specialist.

They offered me suggestions on how to fix the problem myself and I thought that was very thoughtful.

Work was done fast and the attention to detail was evident. Over a year later and no issues at all - our house is warm and we are saving a pile of $$$ each month (converted from an oil fueled boiler).

The installers arrived on time, were friendly and personable. They took great strides to protect any area they were in from damage. They placed carpet protection on all carpeted areas they walked across. The installers were very professional, knowledgeable and did a very nice job. They went over all aspects of system operation with me and answered many questions before I asked them. Any questions I had they gave knowledgable answers. When they were finished with the job they left the furnace room and any other area they had to go in as good or better shape than they found it. All old equipment and trash was removed. I was impressed with the Professionalism exhibited by every contact I've had with Boelcke Heating. I would highly recommend their company after my experience.
