The job was completed quickly and with efficiency. Work was of expected quality as well.
The only negative, and a very very small one at that, was the cleanup after, but it seems like all contractors are very similar in this regard. 
I had the same experience with the contractor that did the roof originally. 
Maybe my expectations are a bit too high.
Overall I would recommend P&J contracting for their efficiency, quality and value.

I cannot say enough good things... I emailed asking for an estimate in the morning of Jan 1... a holiday, mind you. I received a call back from Phil by 12:30. He was at my house by 1:30. He went in attic to find cause of wet ceiling in bathroom. Found source and then went on roof to verify. Took pictures of problem on roof to show us. I thought we were just getting an estimate, but he was able to fix the problem immediately. From start to finish, maybe 1 hour. Quick, professional, courteous, knowledgeable.

Called immediately and was able to fix in timely manner.  Had supplies he needed with him.

Called two companies after a windstorm blew multiple shingles off of our roof. The house is being sold and needed to be repaired quickly and correctly. They called me back within the hour, and made arrangements to be out the next day, even though many people were calling with wind damaged roofs. The other company never even called back. They arrived prior to the agreed time and I advised them that I was very sorry but I had been held up at an unavoidable meeting and was going to be late. They went on the roof, and used the old shingles that had blown off, so that it would look good for potential home buyers. They resecured the shingles and insured there would be no leaks, and did this without me being able to be there. Not only that, they told me to go ahead and mail them a check since I couldn't be home, instead of making me wait to another day or longer to have the work done. I know that it wasn't a big job or a lot of money, but it's refreshing in this day to deal with someone that will take you at your word, and honor theirs. I will definitely call them in the future when my next roof needs replacing. Their check has been happily mailed.

P & J Contracting, Inc called us back promptly.  They came out the same day, reviewed the problem, gave us a reasonably priced estimate, then immediately completed the job.  They were very knowledgable and courteous.  I would highly recommend P & J Contracting, Inc .

Contacted Phil thru Angie's List when I found a leak in our bedroom ceiling after heavy rains.   It was a Sunday afternoon and I wasn't expecting a response until the next working day.  He responded within an hour and promised to call the next morning.  He called by 8 am, and we set up an appointment later in the week for an estimate.  He and his partner came promptly.   Phil explained everything he saw wrong on the roof and even took photos of the damage with his phone so I could see it for myself.     Within 2 hours - including leaving to purchase what we needed - the job was done well and the cost was reasonable.   He is very professional and congenial - and even apologetic about the cost.     I feel very comfortable with his work and his pricing, and I do highly recommend him.   I haven't had the best of luck with contractors lately, but P & J definitely made up for it.

Phil was a great guy. Called on a Friday and came out next day on Saturday morning. Gave me 2 solutions to the problem and fixed the problem that day. Very fair and affordable. Even had gutter issues and called a gutter expert for me on the spot and got an estimate that day.

My daughters wall in her bedroom had water coming down the wall every time it rained. I called P & J, they came out and inspected the issue they felt that it was coming in through the Edison line entry of the home they were unable to be 100% sure because the area had dried, I was not charged.  The next time it rained the leak appeared again so I called that day and they came out right away and did an inspection of the attic and found a vent that was leaking down the joist of the home right into my daughters room.  Repairs were done at that time and have not had leaking since. Contractor responded quickly after being called for an estimate.  He came out the next day and provided an estimate detailing all the materials needed.  The contractor uses Landmark - CertainTeed shingles, which after doing a little research, I found out they are a very high quality roofing shingle.  He showed us a sheet with the various color samples available.  There was a wide of range of colors to choose from.  We received a quote from another company, but P & J Contracting's quote was cheaper, and more in line with what I expected.  In our case, we needed our old shingles removed, although depending on the condition of your roof, you might be able to install new shingles over the old ones which will be less expensive.  
The crew came out in the morning and got right to work tearing off the old shingles.  They placed tarps around shrubs and lawn furniture to protect them.  In addition to installing the new shingles, they also added some additional roof vents, and installed a new chimney rain shield which I did not have before.
The only minor downside is dealing with a satellite dish.  The contractor removes it so they can install the new shingles.  After they re-install the dish,  it needs to be realigned (which is understandable).  You might want to call your dish provider to see what they charge to realign.  I was able to realign the dish myself using the signal meter on my receiver box.
They completed the job in one day, and the new roof looks very nice.  The crew did a thorough clean up of debris.  Very happy with the work.

it went excellent, the roof had no problems after the work was completed and the house is much cooler because of their work,I plan on having P & J Contracting to roof my house when I need it done, I have recommended p & J Contracting to friends and family members and every one who had roof work done was very impressed with the work.

Phil did an excellent job from beginning to end. Mother Nature even tested them in the middle of the project and his crew had the whole house covered in minutes. I have had them do all 3 of our homes and never had an issue with any of them. They have done friends & family of ours that we recommended to and I have never heard a negative comment. They stand behind their work as well. A+ in my book.

It went great. They finished in one day. They were on time. Everything was cleaned up and hauled away. It cost what I was told it would cost, there was no last minute change in price. They're a professional and hardworking company. I referred P&J to my mother-in-law, aunt and even my boss. They were all just as pleased with P&J as I was.

.I was put in touch with this company from a friend. They were very professional. They came out to do the estimate when it was convenient for me. Phil brought samples and helped me pick a color that would look great. The team was professional and punctual. They completed the job in one day. My roof looks great, and I get lots of compliments. I would, and have recommended this roofer to others. I was very happy with them.

They did not pull permits and I found out that it's against city policy to not pull the permits. They never show up hen they are supposed to.
