DO NOT ALL A1 Garage Door Service

Had a "Tune-up Special" coupon of which included "a multi-point inspection, lubrication, tightening and adjustment." They came on time but the visit was sales driven and nothing else. Even though the tech initially said yes we'll make the adjustment needed, He converted into a "salesman" tried to upsell me on a new spring and rollers for $1,400. After I told him that I'd sleep on it, he ended the visit with that this visit was only an inspection visit and nothing else. After telling him the coupon clearly said "Tighten, Lubricate and adjust", then he lubricated the spring and ended the visit. Looking over his emailed of the "29 point safety inspection", he didn't check the gears, belt/chain, wiring, bulbs, molding. NOTHING! He didn't even have the remote. HIs inspection consisted of discussing the first thing to sell and ended the visit as fast as possible when I told him I'd like to sleep on replacing the springs.

I got various quotes and A1 Garage Doors had the best price and was able to install within a few days of measurements. We are very pleased with the finished product. The workman was very polite and professional. Job well done!

My garage door cable broke on both sides. I am pretty handy but didn't feel comfortable taking this on. Didn't know it was actually spring that broke. Mike from A1 came out and explained that my torsion spring was in a tube instead of external and was going to be more work then just replacing the spring. Therefor the whole thing needed to be converted and replaced. I appreciated the thoroughness of the explanation and helped me better understand what needed to be fixed and why. Noticed after the installation that i had a gap in one side and he troubleshooted it with me over the phone. Would recommend again

I really appreciate it when a service is an aid and not another problem to deal with when something goes wrong either with your house or your car. We really picked a good one when we chose to set the appointment with A1 Garage Door. We got 2 new springs installed in much shorter time than I thought it would take. We also got the tuneup and were given some advice on how best to maintain the door and when to anticipate another service call on some of the old parts that are still in place. We did our due diligence by taking a good look at several of the garage door repair companies in the area. A1 got the job from us and they did not let us down. I can't really think of any area where they would need to improve on.

Received excellent service
from Ian M. at A1 Garage Door Service. As promised Ian called me when he was on
the way to my home. He arrived on time and got right to work . He discovered
additional issues and, with my approval, went ahead with the repair. A
half-hour  later he was finished and my garage door is now functioning  as
it should, running smoothly and quietly. I was very impressed with Ian?s
knowledge and professional work attitude. I highly recommend A1 Garage Door
Service, I?ll will be calling them next year for yearly tune-ups.

 Our technician, Walter, was very knowledgeable, professional and kind
making sure all my questions were answered.  He was very thorough in
explaining and showing to me, how everything worked after the installation was
done.  Very impressed.  Pro touch; he cleaned off the fingerprints
from the surface of the brand new door.  A fantastic sign of great
customer service.  Our new door looks wonderful on out house. It runs so

I called A1 this morning,
the guy showed up exactly when I wanted, very prompt.  1.5 hours later,
both main springs replaced and for less than other places around where I live.
Henry answered my questions in full and I learned about garage door functions
as well. Good guys.

I had an emergency and needed to open my garage door to get my
Harley in there. Called A1 Garage Door, and they had a guy out
there within two hours. This guy took a look at the broken spring and said
My door is heavy, so  I should have a larger spring.  I said make it
so. When he installed a new spring said it works but it can work better with an
even BIGGER spring. He took the time to do the job right with a larger spring.
 He said that this one will last much longer then the three years I got
outta that crappy old one. In fact I have a lifetime warranty outta this new
big spring. I?m glad we did it RIGHT. A1 was very professional and worked
quickly, and was looking out for me, the customer. Would recommend.

So glad I found A1 Garage
Doors. Our garage door has not worked properly for approximately 3 years. The
?safety eyes? were too sensitive & glitchy and became misaligned so the
garage needed to be closed using manual override pretty much constantly. The
contractor who initially installed the door just said there are too many items
in the garage near the sensor. What?! And that we would just be constantly
dealing with this annoying problem, nothing he could do about it.  We just
accepted the door being this way, oh well.  Today it worsened and refused
to close. I decided to look online, read reviews, the BBB , all that?and
decided to Call A1.  Within 3 hours on a Sunday, Henry was here.
He realigned the doors, Installed new sensors, all for 170 dollars including
the service call and parts.  I should say also there was NO additional fee
to have the work done on a Sunday.. they are open 24/7.  So after
constantly having to get out of the car to manually deal with that door, it?s
wonderful to have a door which just opens & closes perfectly, smoothly, no
problems.  Thanks to everyone for recommending A1 Garage Door Service.

Very prompt service.
 A1 diagnosed the problem immediately. Additionally they discovered
another looming problem that he advised to deal with now. So we did, at a
minimal cost. The guy answered other questions I had. No hassle. He offered to
update the settings of the garage controller in my truck. Definitely would use
again.

having;  diagnosed right away. The old opener unit was replaced by a
brand-new Lift-Master opener. Within 1 day I had all problems

I found an coupon/deal on
Angie's List for a garage door tune-up.  I love a good deal!  Both my
garage doors apparently had never been serviced since their installation
fifteen years ago. The double door was extremely noisy when going up &
down, especially going up, very loud.  The tech, Peter, inspected both
doors and automatic openers. Informed me what needed to be repaired not only
get rid of the awful noise, but also what must be fixed to ensure that the
doors operated safely.  Now both doors open and close smooth & almost
silent.  Happy I found A1 and that ad. I will no doubt contact them again
if the garage doors need service in the future.

Had Walter come to our home
and do the tune-up on our garage doors. He was very thorough in his inspection
& Walter even advised me that is was not totally necessary to install brand
new hardware, because all the existing parts were doing the job just fine. All
it needed was a bit of adjusting, tightening, and lube, which Walter did in a
jiffy. A1 overall ?very prompt in coming to the house, and am very satisfied
with the work done by Walter and making sure I was clear about the work done
and why. Would strongly recommend A1 Garage Door Service and especially Walter.

Our garage door spring
suddenly busted in half with a loud noise. scary. We searched online found A1
Garage Door Service and are glad we did.  Can't say enough good things
about this company.  If it was an option, we would give them more than 5
stars. Not only was the problem fixed, the tech inspected the whole garage door
system to make sure that everything else was in perfect & safe operational  order.

Our garage door kept get
stuck while it was attempting to open, and I observed there was a large crack
in the top panel where the lift attaches.  I was fearful that we would
 have to replace the entire door.  I chose A1 Garage Door service
based on online review recommendations so A1 was who I called. I got an
appointment and a ballpark estimate.  Dennis arrived and immediately
diagnosed the problem; the lifting mechanism was not installed properly. a big
metal strut and new connections and all is new and good.  He even put a

I had Stewart from A1
Garage Door repair replace my trashed garage door opener. I
called Saturday afternoon and he arrived Monday morning as
planned. He called shortly before arriving, so I'd know when to be home. After
installing the new opener, he tuned up the door  which meant replacing
some bolts, tightening  others at no extra charge. Total price was around
$350, including a second remote. Good guy, Stewart. Likes his job, you can
tell. A real pleasure to deal with .I had the same positive experience with him
a few years ago, when the garage door cables broke. Stewart is great. I
wouldn't call anyone else.

To get my garage door fixed
I called A1 to fix a broken spring on our garage door.  I used them before
many years ago when I replaced a garage door. I recognized Bobby when he come
over.. the same guy as before! a very nice guy.  He came when he said he
would.  I absolutely hate sitting around waiting for service people.
 A1  prices were very reasonable. I know because I called around.
 I would recommend A1  to anyone who is looking for a good garage

I was dreading calling someone because my door had not quite broken off of the arm that attaches to the door opener. but it looked bad. A1’s guy Robert needed some extra parts and got the job done. I have had the pleasure to
use A1 Garage Door Service on two separate occasions, and both times they
delivered the goods. Arrived within a couple hours of my call & scheduled
appointment.  and had the parts on the truck to get the job done quickly
and professionally. The first time I called A1 Garage Door Service my truck was
 stuck in the garage and I could not open the door to get it out. I called
A1..they had the problem diagnosed. about 45-minutes later, my garage door was
working perfectly. I feared that I needed a new garage door opener, but was
told that the problem was simply a tired spring on the door. They got me outta
