They were on time, came on the day they said they would, very professional and cleaned up after the work was completed. I would definitely hire them for any roofing needs I need or maybe even another sky light.

I have to state, upfront, that we are absolutely on cloud nine because of the experience we had with this company.
The level of service was amazing, the attention to detail was superb, they did everything as promised, exactly on time, and left the place spotless!
I had read some good reviews about Kieff's on Angie's List but wasn't sure they would travel this far to work in my town (about thirty miles away from their home base). Then, after I'd asked all over for local names, even left voicemails for some, asking for estimates~which were never answered by the way~I saw a BEAUTIFUL roofing job at a house in town, and there was a Kieff's truck parked on the job. EUREKA! Prayers answered! :)
I called and Brian Kieff came out right away to take measurements and followed up within a couple days with a written estimate. He told us when the job would start, delivered shingle sample boards and answered all questions.
Lately, we've had to take a really laid back approach to getting house repairs done~people come when they can fit you in, they come, they go, they circle back and the job ends up taking three times as long and costing twice as much as the estimate. That just seemed to be the way things operated, at least around here. So, honestly, when the day came for our roof project to start, I figured I'd try to get into my most patient frame of mind and just go with the flow. But, I didn't have to!! When the Kieff roofing company arrived, it's like the Marines had landed. I'm not kidding. Brad Kieff, Brian's brother, arrived with his team and they just went to town. They worked like crazy, everyone knew what to do; it was an incredibly well oiled machine. I couldn't get over it.
The roof is a large salt box with attached garage, and they had the job done in 3 and 1/2 days. They used quality materials, and the guys doing the actual installation of the rubber membrane, felting and shingles worked quickly but they were very precise. We did a lot of homework before hiring anyone, and we knew that when people have trouble with a roofing job it isn't due to the materials, but is invariably a problem with installation. When I saw the way these materials were being handled, applied, and finished I knew the installation was spot on. They really inspired confidence and that's nice :)
(Just as a little side note, while they were up there, I asked if they could possibly wash the faces of my gutters, which were horrible, just black and streaked and filthy...I thought they might power wash them a little...I figured anything they did would make them look at least a little better..well, they had a young man go crazy with soap and sponges, he scrubbed the things so that my cream colored gutters looked BRAND NEW, heck, after they had finished ,my house looked brand new! :) Again, just an inspiring level of attention to detail.)
This is a fourth generation, family owned company, and they take tremendous pride in every job that they do~ they do it the way they would want it done for themselves. They are, I think, a company driven by some really high standards and principles. I talked with Brad Kieff and he explained about his family's business philosophy, and important lessons his Dad and grandfather had instilled, and he finished by saying"I've been born and bred to do this, and I love what I'm doing." An ethos of pride and quality seems to be driving this company. Amazing.
So, now we know the Kieff's. We found out they do shutters and things, so we're going to get those from them as well.We are really grateful for all the superb work done by a terrific team of really nice guys, super hard workers. We could not be happier.

Excellent! We had some shingles blow off our roof after having the harsh winter and then recent strong winds. With upcoming rain forecasted we wanted them replaced as soon as possible. We have a very high pitched roof and were unable to do it ourselves. We had called several roofing companies, but they were booked two to three weeks out. When we called this company and explained our concerns and needs they came out the same day despite how busy they were. The gentleman was very professional and completed the work promptly. He also took the time to answer some of our questions as well as explain things to us. We were very satisifed with the work he did as well as going beyond what he had to do. The service call rate was higher than we had hoped for, but we are not sure what is "normal" and were very pleased with this company regardless.

Provider was on time, reasonably priced, cleaned up, took old windows, was ok my "mom"s - they were polite and courteous to her.

Kiefe's roofing came and measured roof the first week in June. As in a previous review Kiefe actually got up on the roof and took measurements. They sent an estimated quote the next week. The quote was excepted and they said the job would be started in late July. On a Monday in late July they started job.
Let me tell you about my house. It is a two story Cross Gabled Roof which viewed from the front look like triangles with a lower level wing with its own triangular gable and a porch on two sides. 1st they started on the two story upper level and finished about 2/3 of it with the triangular gabled section unfinished. Two days later a new second crew showed up and started on the lower level and wrap porch. After a rain delay and weekend they finished the lower wing and porch. They then went back to finishing the upper story triangular gable roof. This did not make since to me as they should have finished the upper roof first so they weren't walking around on new roof of lower level. After a week I went up on the lower roof and found nails, bits of old roofing and rubber band left from finishing upper roof last..
Although I was satisfied with the overall job and would probably use them in future I would make sure they had finished upper section first before starting lower levels.
Also, have them put a tarp under their truck they park in your driveway as it leaks oil like a sieve

They worked in two shifts. One crew did the back side of the roof on the first day and another crew did the front side on the second day. The first crew was a little late because they got lost, trying to find our place. (which is understandable with our address.) But in the end, they both did a good job and left nothing behind.

We had several roofers come out but he is the only roofer that actually got up on the roof and walked it. He did fantastic work.
