ALL WEATHER HEATING & COOLING

It was explained to contractor over and over again the medical need for air to be completed before summer heat and humidity. This contractor was in the house and completed all of the above, except where my husband resides. The contract was written in November, to ensure the air conditioning would be completed by summer. The $9,000.00 was paid in full to ensure the contractor could order all the units and supplies needed. The contractor was pleasant, sat at the kitchen table with his brother and discussed the plan and the medical issues involved around my quadriplegic husband. He insured us the work would be completed. As the summer temperatures began to rise, we began calling the contractor. He returned one call and said he would be out the next day, which he never came, nor did he call. We called for over four weeks and still no returned calls. We wrote him a letter and still no return calls. We had to call an ambulance shortly after the letter in reference to the humidity and my husbands disability. My husband is paralyzed from the shoulders down. His diaphragm does not work, therefore he only has 30% of his lung capacity, therefore his condition is considered COPD.  We had two fans on him for many days waiting for the air to be installed. All of the equipment and supplies sat for months. We finally had to call another company, who came out the same day and installed the unit. It took them less than two hours. Their Cost $441.00. Our contractor charged us over $1,200.00 just for installation.  Needless to say, we are extremely disappointed that this contractor felt no compassion for my husband. He charged over and above the reasonable amount for installation, and still did not complete the contract. We are suing this contract and further we are asking for pain and suffering for my handicap husband. We are in a small town and will most likely not receive the later. This contractor and his family live, work and play in our county and his wife works at the courts.
