"You called us on a Tuesday morning and we came over at about 10:30am, diagnosed you needed a new draft inducer assembly/then we called the wholesale house with you while standing at the water heater and found out it was going to cost just over $700 to get and install the parts, and it was 3 days out. Since the water heater was about 20 years old you asked about a new one. We gave you a price to install it that evening and you did not say yes while we were there. You called 2 other companies for pricing and were quoted $1800 from a local plumber and $1200??? from another one (which the water heater and parts cost $1430 in total), then you called us with the pricing you had been quoted. We told you that was great and wished you the best with getting your new water heater form another company but we could not do it for that low. You then called us back and said that you wanted to go with our company. We showed up at 5:30pm to your home, it was snowing pretty good that evening, and we had to go up and down a pretty steep hill, in 6" of snow getting your old water heater out and new one into your basement from around back of your home (I know this sounds like your grandpa's story of how hard it was growing up, but it's true). I even removed the old venting you had through the concrete wall and redid it so it was air tight and secure for you, installed a water alarm in case your antique boiler ever starts to leak, new gas shut off valve and connector, drain pan, and water shut off valve and connectors. We finished the job just before 8pm and you had hot water again. Then you called us 2 weeks later all upset that you over paid??? I'm still trying to understand how we did you wrong. There is so much more I would like to add here, but I am limited to space. No matter what, if you had to call us in the future, know we would be out there to service you if needed."
