Tittle Brothers Construction

We had a leaky skylight and the area around it was rotting even though the roof looked fine. We had Tittle install a brand new skylight, replace the rotten wood, and reshingle the area. The contract stated to match the shingles as close as possible. I didn't expect a perfect match. They used light grey shingles on our black roof. When they ran out of light grey, the filled in the remainder with orange shingles. They also left a bunch of trash behind. Someone was supposed to come back out today to.. I dunno... validate our complaint I guess... but he didn't make it. Maybe he will come tomorrow but I'm concerned that anyone thought this was okay in the first place.

TL;DR. Had a roof installed in August 2023. Sub par install and poor communication. Here is my experience with the Tittle Brothers. Large crew shows up to replace the roof. Anything in the way they will rip off the roof including down spouts. My down spouts easily come apart with screws so that I can clean them out. Well they just used a hammer and ripped them off the siding leaving a hole in the aluminum siding and the brackets unusable. They completed in a few hours. Later in the day my spouse said that house really stinks. I just figured it was from the new materials. Nope it was one of the sewer stacks that was pulled out of one of the rubber drain couplers. I was able to get the sewer stack in place but then went up on the roof and there was about an 1 inch gap because the boot on the roof was in the wrong location. Then I started looking around the roof and that is when I found missing flashing and exposed nails. Well I guess part of the process is they have an internal inspector/repair person that comes out after to actually complete the job. So I literally had holes in my roof until that person came out. The inspector/repair person is a nice person and tells about how much experience they has every time they have been out but that's not who actually does the roof nor is there when the roof is being done. I had to have them out multiple times as I kept finding cut shingles and exposed nails. The inspector/repair person acted like they were doing me a favor when repairing these things. I can not recommend them.

What was suppose to be an exciting project turned into a nightmare. Project was quoted and approved June 2021. This two week patio overhang with gutters and siding on home was scheduled to take two weeks. Work began May 2022 and was finished end of November 2022 not including a couple March 2023 visits to fix a leaking roof. Contractor (Dean) and salesman (Brendan) are no longer with company. Dean failed to show for two whole months blowing me off with each phone call and text message. 6x6 posts were installed twisted, soffit was loose and installed poorly, hole remained under my porch, poor concrete work for posts installed into existing patio, missing shingles, leaky roof, unmatched trim, unfinished trim corners, and poor customer service. General Manager (Dan) started out helpful but then as problems continues failed to return calls and emails. I had to get an attorney involved to finish work. Would not recommend to worst enemy.

They were very good. They replaced the roof and did the garage. They cleaned up after themselves

DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH THIS COMPANY! We signed a large contract with Tittle Brothers last May 2020 for new roof, siding, two composite decks, remodeled 1/2 bath, pantry, mud room and 18 x 13 living room addition off the back of the house. A 10% deposit was given with the promise of construction starting in the fall of 2020. Plans were sent by the architect with a couple weeks and approved by June. They said they would keep us up to date as time drew closer to the project start date. In the fall of 2020 we removed our back deck and the rails and landscaping around the front deck, preparing for the new decks. We did not hear from Tittle Brothers and had to reach out to them by October 2020. They did return our call, said permits were not ready and they had a meeting in November 2020. Our hopes for a start date were put on hold. By late November with no contact from Tittle Brothers we again reached out to them….we were told permits were not ready and they had a meeting in January 2021. Again, very disappointing. With no contact in January 2021 we AGAIN had to reach out to Tittle Brothers…same story, they were not ready, they have a meeting in March 2021 this time….seriously. As expected, March passed, with no word from Tittle Brothers….reached out AGAIN. This time they had a meeting on May 11th 2021 (1 full year from our contact signing) with our Township board and we were given a time to attend. On that date my wife and I showed up to the Township board to witness our meeting. Tittle Brothers was a NO SHOW. We had to propose our building project to the township ourselves with very little preparation or building knowledge. Ironically, the Township approved all the work we contracted with Tittle and also asked us “are you sure these guys are who you are going with, they didn’t even bother to show up for a meeting they booked?” It was very embarrassing. Actually, horrifying. We contacted Tittle Brothers on May 12th 2021 to ask how this happened….on May 13th 2021 they called us back to tell us the project is “too big” for them and wanted to end our contract and refund our money. They did refund most of our down payment, minus architectural cost (for now useless plans). Only after a very negative review on YELP did they reach out to us, for the first time, asking if there was a way to reconcile and for us to remove the review. I said we have scrapped the addition and re-contracted all the jobs minus one…our 5 x 6 mud room leading out to what is now going to be a large deck. I said if they could help us and refund our full deposit (the difference of the architect cost) with that I’ll remove the negative review….after a month of back and forth, we were just notified they will not help us at all. This is a catastrophically mis-managed company. I am a leader in retail and I would never let a colossal failure on my watch go without major compensation for the effected party. A refund is where we start, then asks “how can we make this right?”….we waited a year with a signed contract and have nothing. Nothing. The anguish and frustration they put us through over what was already a horrible year was brushed over with an “sorry…can’t help you”.

The team was polite, friendly and responsive. We are very happy with the work. Our house looks great and is now safe from woodpeckers.

The deck and wheelchair ramp are very well built, sturdy and attractive. Once construction was started it went up fast. I have no complaints about the time the whole process took as we were in the middle of the pandemic and I knew a lot of places weren’t open. There is a piece of siding that they had cut and left hanging that they won’t finish even after talking with Pete and the office. I was told that a service call would be set up but it’s been over a month. One of the two gates that went on the deck broke before being put up (one gate is at the top of the steps and one at the top of the wheelchair ramp) They didn’t tell us it had been broken, they took the broken gate back by our garage and set it near the recycling bin. I saw one of the guys take the wood down the driveway but thought it was a wood pallet. Lenny questioned us after putting up the one gate if we were sure we had wanted two gates even though I had discussed this with him in person and with Pete by text and phone. We paid for the two gates with cash but Lenny never offered to give back half the cash. They did bring a new gate a few days later. I feel that they lied by not telling us it broke and I may not have known if they had taken the evidence with them. I found out a week or so later when it was time to put the recycle bin out to the curb.

Had roof replaced and area cleaned in one day

While it took almost a year from the moment we signed the paperwork and the moment the job started, the work was flawless! 100% satisfied! Crew doing the work was respectful and went above and beyond the initial project to make the job seem seamless with the rest of the house.

They did an excellent service, no problems at all, excellent crew, very polite, efficient, on time and professional. They stand behind their work. It's just a fantastic service.

It was excellent, he took care of everything. he was on top of everything, he was right there every time to me and I was very pleased. He was kind enough to absorb some of the quotes, he did not charge me more. I would highly recommend them, even his sub contractors are polite, very quick, efficient and I was totally pleased. It was outstanding!

Everything went good. They were here on time and the price was good. They were responsive and very professional.

The work took a few days but it went really fine, provided good quality service and a good quality work.

Honestly they were awesome. They're very honest. The quote they gave me is what they charged me. They were on-time and punctual. They cleaned up completely afterwards like they were never there. They also followed-up to make sure I had no complaints. I would used them over again.

It went well. They did what they said they were going to do, did quality work and I had no issues. They did all they could to help me finance the project and I did appreciate that.

Very professional and made sure that if there were changes on the original quote they will call me and sent pictures. They're very communicative, courteous, trustworthy, very clean and they did not left any materials on the roof. They are very quick, excellent service and I already recommend them to other people.

According to the building inspectors, they didn't do the job well and they have them come back to complete the project. I have a wall damage . I would never use them again.

It was fine, very quick, very efficient with a reasonably price. They did a quality work.

I had some hail storm damaged to my house and they have to replaced the sidings. The insurance company's inspector come out and also checked on my roof and said " who ever did your roof, They did a great job".

Simply go to Yelp and check out the DOZENS of reviews of this company. They do not deserve a "B" rating by any stretch of your imagination. After a $13,000 contract to repair a water leak, nearly 11 months later, we are still getting water in our studio. They are uncommunicative, unprofessional, unskilled, and unethical. Our original contract (for a job that should have taken a month at most) took 8 months! From before Thanksgiving to mid-July. DO NOT HIRE THESE PEOPLE! I have dozens of pictures. I'll post some later.

Decided on Tittle Brothers after getting 2 additional quotes for replacing our roof based on reviews from the BBB with an A+ rating, Google reviews, Angie’s list reviews & Home Advisors reviews. plus Tittle Brothers is a local company for us. Nick, our salesman, was very thorough with his presentation as far as materials & application, insurance coverage & warranty. We had a few leaks in our kitchen addition & of course, that was the biggest concern. Naturally, our first scheduled installation date it rained. Our second date was very hot & humid & some of the crew (understandably) were not thrilled with the prospect of working all day in that heat. The next day was forecasted to be even hotter but Kris, the project manager, promised that a crew of 18-20 would be here first thing in the morning to do the job. I must say that I was skeptical with the impending heat & humidity but at 7 am, there was a knock of the door & by 7:30 there were 6 guys on the front part of the roof, 6 more on the back of the roof & 5 or 6 more guys on the ground for their tasks – it looked like we were part of a "Reality Home Improvement Show", very impressive for me & some of the neighbors to watch. Anyway, I couldn’t be more pleased with the job, professional crew & cleanup & I would definitely recommend them. In fact, they’re going to install new gutters for us as well. My only regret is that it hasn’t rained here since the new roof (12 days) so I haven’t had the pure joy of not having to put out rain catchers (just kidding).
