THE FIRESIDE SHOP

Two gentlemen arrived at 10AM on schedule. Very polite and answered all my questions promptly. He did mention my blower motor maybe bad and to call if I had any concerns. I called at 4PM because my motor was very loud. The manager told me they aren’t going to come back out and hung up on me. Really sucks when employees are nice and management team are a bunch of ********.... there will always be another company I can call.

We've been having problems with the fireplace ever since the installation. They came out week and a half ago to diagnose an issue we were having and claimed that the only problem was that it needed to be cleaned-- so he cleaned it. We paid him $78 for service but a week later the fireplace started doing the exact same thing intermittently.


The manufacturer (Napoleon Fireplace) has been helpful, but The Fireside Shop is the one handling the actual repair work so the manufacturer can't force The Fireside Shop to assist me.  They now don't want to deal with me and said that they don't have to service anyone they don't want to since they are family-owned.


When I tried to work things out and asked them when they could come back out to fix the ongoing issue from last time, they said they couldn't come out until after Christmas despite the fact it's the same problem that should have been rectified before.


Today they hung up on me and basically said they would not deal with me anymore. The service technician was nice but their customer service after the fact has been very poor.

I am now having to deal directly with Napolian Fireplace in Canada.
Napoleon arranged another contractor to come and work on our fireplace but they sent him the wrong parts and he only changed one. Our fireplace is back to not working at all. I provided Napoleon with the contractors email address and they were to contact him directly. Nothing has been accomplished since, no further emails no one will call me back.

Team from Fireside Shoppe job did an outstanding job on chimney clean and install of the top mount damper.

Purchased the stove & the floor pad two days after Thanksgiving (2008). Was told it would take 2 weeks to receive the stove and one week to install. I had to call in January (2009) to find out if they received the stove yet along with if and when they planned to install it. Installer came out and determined that the area that the salesman chose for installation was not going to work and they would have to check with the city to see if there was any good place for the install. One week later the installer came back and installed the stove. He did a great job, but the stove is not yet functional because I am waiting for an inspection that the Fireside shop is supposed to schedule. One and a half weeks later and I am still waiting for that call back to get the inspection.

I don't feel that they did a very good job.
