Yasir Drywall

Talib Yasir of Yasir Drywall was excellent. He did our large family room and 4 drywalled openings associated with it. We hired him to fix drywall and drywall “mudding” that was improperly applied by another company that had great reviews on Home Advisor, but had no idea what they were doing. The Other company then walked off the job leaving the drywall and room in an awful state that most companies wanted to just tear down all the brand new drywall instead of trying to fix their mud job and problems it was so bad. During his appointment to quote fixing their work, Mr. Yasir applied some “mud” to some of the existing problem areas to show us how it was supposed to be done, if he could repair their work effectively and as a check to see if the additional moisture would bring out more problems with their inside corner bead tape. He was the only company that came out for a quote where you actually knew they’d be able to do the job. A lot of other companies send an estimator who isn’t even the one who will be working at your home. On top of that, one coat of him applying mud was five times better than several coats and sanding of the previous company! After having such a horrible experience with the previous company’s poor knowledge, skill, work and treatment, it was very nice to get Mr. Yasir who really knew how to “mud” and finish drywall. On top of that, he was very workable and understanding of special circumstances like where the drywall met our brick fireplace surround, needing to get entry through the room he was working in after his work was done, a drywall to molding doorway transition and waiting for patches to be done around improperly cut out electrical boxes. Talib Yasir had to completely recover all the previous bumpy mudding the other company had done, cut out improperly installed inside corner bead that was bubbling and coming away from the corners, redo metal outside corner bead that was improperly installed, fix holes improperly cut out, cover fiberglass tape that was showing everywhere, remove and install drywall that was put on wrong, along with other drywall mudding repairs and then primed. Mr. Yasir takes great pride in his work and is extremely patient in making sure he does his job correctly. One look at the way he “muds” is to look at a great renaissance painter…..artist. Redoing and fixing another companies work took way longer to finish than it would have if he had done the job from scratch but he never complained. We are thankful we hired someone who truly cares about his work.
