Do not ever ever hire this company. 55 years experience? Well the owner should have stopped at 20 years if he ever had any good contractors. A bathroom re-model which was contracted for 2 weeks completion was going on it's ninth week before I fired them. Nothing arrived in a timely manner. Nothing happened in a timely manner. Two guys would show up and disappear for five days. Calling owner did no good just promises. EVERYTHING was so amateurish (molding installed with HUGE gaps which they tried to fill with silicone up to a half an inch, none of the granite backsplash was against the wall and everything filled in with throw up colored grout, tiles were so uneven that in the shower there is are razor sharp edges in the corner which are dangerous, they flooded my basement twice, all other contractors said they should not have installed the tile until the plumbing or lighting was done, the grout on the floor was a mess in the corners, the flooring was not cut to fit again patched with ugly grey grout an inch away from the wall or corner, wall tile grout lines varied from a half inch to a 1/4 inch, the window ledge they put in was not cut to fit, the right side of the vanity never shimmed, paint drips everywhere, took out medicine cabinet at our request but left a huge dip in the wall because of poor drywalling and poor plastering, used the wrong tape for plaster). Need I say more? We were told that putting new tile over old would look perfect and just as good as removing old tile. When tiles had lipage (sticking out all over the place) he blamed the shape of my old tile which in a 50s house was rounded. Molding never sanded before painting. Nails left in where removed my shudders and just painted over. Put globs of whatever they used to putty instead of skim coating with care. It is such a mess we have to have it re-done. This has been the most anxiety producing project I have ever experienced and I have lived through two home additions, and putting in a new kitchen.
