Sold our house and had paid upfront on all the services 3 months at a time. Called ahead of time and told them to cancel the service effective date or 1/13/2023. They took forever to get me a refund for my upfront fees. I can see paying for the month of January (no prorate). They charged me for Jan, and Feb and then some. Of the $117 dollar payment that I made in December for Jan, Feb, March, I got $25.57 back. Total ripoff and they said that I knew about the 30 day cancellation fee (which I did not due to them taking over ADT in my area) and I signed paperwork to that effect. Never did. So, dont trust anything that they say, if they take over your service from another company beware! We did have them out to fix a false alarm, they bore thru a wall into a sound system and completely destroyed a part of the system. How we found this was the tech broke off a drill bit inside the wall and left it there inside the sound system equipment. Bottom line, find someone else to work the alarm for you, Not Guardian Alarm.

I recently moved into a home that had a alarm system from Guardian Alarm. I had received 3-4 letters addressed to: new owner ...stating that if I wanted to get the system activated I would get 3 months free monitoring! Sounds great right?!...so I called and salesman ( Michael Kuhl) was a little pushy and pretty much hooked me up with an extra monthly maintenance charge that really is not needed. When I called after thinking about it...he was short on the phone (after he said call if you have any questions!) and rambled about if they had to come out it would cost me hundreds! Soooo...I am stuck!....I called him back again because I had forgot to tell him about the letters assuring me if I signed up I would get 3 months free monitoring! Once again he was short wth me and said he already gave me good deals!! So I asked him if the letters were just frauds and that I wanted to talk to the owner....he said he would try to get ahold of him and call me back...hmmmm.....still waiting for his call!!....?....I guess ADT will be my next choice after my contract runs out! So just beware!

First, the saleswoman who came out was great. Not pushy at all. I felt like she really was out to give me the best set up and not to make the biggest sale. She made sure that the wiring and sensors would work with my layout. Next, my costs I had to have sensors on every window instead of just a few and an interior sensor because I have cats, which is why my costs were higher. The installation service person was awesome. Friendly and polite. Explained everything clearly. 
I love the peace of mind that comes with this service. And I love that when I have questions and call Guardian there is NO recorder. An actual friendly, polite and knowledgeable person answers the phone. 
Very happy with this service.

The installation went very well. An early concern was how to wire the control box since their usual method involved dropping down through a wall to the basement -- but our lower level has a dry wall ceiling. An even better solution ended up being to stay on the same floor and run the wire through a closet. After installation, I had to really look to find the wiring -- given how Ken ran it down a non-visible corner and then around a baseboard. Only regret is that when told what the and quot;under duressand quot; code was, I didn't immediately write it down. Afterwards, I couldn't remember which of a couple alternatives it was (switched numbers). I will have to call the office to find out.

Guardian sent out a rep to review/verify my system and see what I had already. Afterward, the rep discussed my system with me and explained what Guardian has to offer. I requested an accessory and an installation appointment was made. The installer came a few days later and did a great job with the install. Guardian has done am exceptional job of keeping in contact with me.

Late last weekend I was searching for security systems and Guardian's website claimed that their service techs were available 24/7 so I called around 9pm on a Saturday. Sure enough, a nice technician (Octavia) answered the phone and set up an sales meeting at a time convenient for me. The sales rep (Alan) called a couple hours prior to the meeting and offered to meet with me earlier than previously agreed which was fantastic. The sales rep was very pleasant and thorough. He went through every single option and answered all my questions. I called my wife mid discussion so that she could ask questions. Alan smiled through it all. He explained that I did not need additional items but if we made any additions to our home that Guardian could install additional features at a later date. We set up an install date which I had to change and Guardian accommodated the change in appointment for me. The installation went very smooth. Once again, the Guardian employee (Jim) was able to come early which was great. The installation proceeded without issue. Once the system was installed Jim explained the whole system to me and answered all of my questions. A few hours after the install I realized I didn't know what the alarm sounded like (that sounds stupid I know, its an alarm). I called Guardian and asked the technician if we could set off the alarm. She (Holly) very politely told me we could and walked me through it and satisfied my curiosity. Wonderful service start to finish and would recommend Guardian Alarm to everyone and anyone.

My dad used this company to protect his tire store in Pontiac. I remember them calling us in the middle of the night a few times back in the 80s to alert us to a break in at the store. My dad always had good things to say about them, so when i saw they were still in business, I gave them a shot.
They're still great, reasonably priced, good customer service, patient in explaining the whole process.
The only thing I wasn't thrilled with was we made an appointment, but then showed up the day before. It was inconvenient at the time, but I guess it's better than showing up late.
