I've used this company many times over the past few years, and have had satisfactory service. However the most recent service fell far below standard, and the company did not respond to my request for service recovery. Unfortunately this has driven me to a different provider for the future.
Briefly, the taxi was to pick up my elderly parents from DTW, the driver was supposed to be waiting inside the terminal for them. The driver did not arrive on time, instead he called my parents to meet him at the curb as he was "right there." My parents waited at the curb for another 15 minutes with their luggage. When I complained to the company, they responded that they would talk to the driver. I asked for a refund of the $10 "parking fee," as the driver did not park, and for a reduction of the mandatory 20% gratuity because of poor service. The company chose to not respond to my request.
"This is DTW policy, not our company's All commercials pickup from the same location, which is: From baggage Claim area Up to escalators, Across the Bridge, Down to the car stand! Or we could pickup clients at the Westin Hotel, departures in McNamarra terminal only (Delta)"
The service was excellent and he drives very smoothly. I can see he is very safe driver and that is the most important for me.
"All though I don't find this to be a bad review, I do however think I should clarify a few things for future Customers. For insurance purposes, it is the responsibility of the Parents to safely & securely strap in the Child's Car Seat for their child's safety, not the Drivers. Upon making his Reservations (Member name removed) ordered a Lincoln Town Car as to where our Web Site clearly states that the Customer is responsible for ordering the size of vehicle due to their luggage size & also states that larger vehicles are $30.00 more. After the first lag of his trip (Member name removed) sent me this email: "Carrie, I'm not sure if your driver mentioned, but he had a difficult time loading our luggage in his vehicle. Please take this into consideration when picking us up on Saturday as additional trunk space may be required." Leading me to believe he needed the larger vehicle in which I sent & only charged (Member name removed) $20.00 of the $30.00 fee because I found him to be very friendly & thought he mistakenly underestimated the size of his luggage when he ordered the Lincoln Town Car instead of a larger vehicle with more trunk space. Never do we add a charge that is not ordered by the Customer themselves. Thank You. Carrie"
