Initial quote was actually quite impressionable. However supplies showed up without a prior notice by text, contrary to what I was told. I had a roof replacement, vents and skylights. They showed up at 7am day of install. It was a rushed job. 4 hours. They installed the vents and the water heater vent pipe got disconnected to the water heater, which will emit carbon monoxide into the house. Had to call back and have them reconnect it. If I hadn't noticed this it could have been really bad. They came back out and reconnected the water heater vent as it was before the roof replacement, however the flashing on the inside of the house came off and was not put back the way it was prior to installation which let's nothing through feom the attic to the house. I have had a fly issue in the house for a week afterwards, literally killing over 100 flies a day. Called them and was told I would get a call back withing 48 hours. Has been 3 weeks now. Shingles overhanging on the inside of the house where the skylights were. By about an inch. Protective film not properly removed from skylights. I would highly recommend going elsewhere for roof repairs or replacement. I made a horrible mistake choosing this company.

Very professional. Pricing was upfront, everything was fully explained. Scheduled time had to be delayed twice because of rain, but I was kept up to date. Work was completed in less than a day. Workers were very courteous, cleaned up after themselves completely. Would definitely recommend.

Great experience with TRC. Darren came out and performed an overall inspection of the entire roof and used his years of experience to come up with a complete solution to the flashing intricate roof intersection issue I had. He also agreed to provide a limited warranty on the areas of roof they were performing repair on, something no other contractor offered. As such the decision was easy to use TRC to comeplete the job.

I had several bids for my roof project. The Roof Company was not the lowest overall cost. But they were able to almost match my lowest bid. I decided to use them because the owner Darren was up to recently a part of the team who did the roofing as well as sales on his own. I was happy to know the owner knew how roofing was done and knew about quality. Some of the team of guys he was using have been with him for a while and he knew their level of quality was enough to step off the roof and focus on sales.
The schedule was open because of weather and them finishing other jobs first. They communicated well to me that they had to delay the project start, and were apologetic for the delay. They also gave me plenty of time to know when the dumpster would arrive and it left the day after they finished.
Overall quality looks to be very high and I hope to not have to call them back for 30 years. I have read recommendations for them on local South Lyon community forums which helped me to find them.

Darren and his crew are very professional, friendly and courteous. I had interviewed (7) roofing companies before choosing them. They did exactly what they said they were going to do. The job went exactly as planned and we are more than pleased. Darren is also very helpful with shingle selection, color scheme, etc. Over the last couple months, after my recommendation, (3) neighbors on my street have used them. :)

Everything went great. Darren came out several times to give estimates and help explain everything to me. The guys who came out to do the work were great. Even with a rain stoppage in the middle of the day, there got it all done in just one day. Couldn't be happier, would use them again, and certainly recommend them.

Darren/ the owner is completely professional and a pleasure to work with. He usually responds immediately and has someone out by the next day to look at the problem at hand. He's completely trustworthy when it comes to repairs and giving you estimates, he does not take advantage like a lot of contractors will. They will advise you if can get away with a repair or he'll let you know if your best route is a replacement. I truly believe that he has your best interest in mind. His men are clean and take great pride in their workmanship. The Roof company carries general liability and workman's compensation insurance which in my opinion is very important and a must.

I called at least 5 roofing companies. Darren was the 1st and only company to return my call. He called within hours. He reviewed the roof, estimated the repair and cost, scheduled the repair and repaired the roof. We never laid eyes on each other. He did all the work when he scheduled it, did a quality job, and left the work place spotless. He kept us informed all the way, having to work around winter weather and snow. The leak is fixed. I will recommend them and would use them again.

Initial estimate was 12,820.00. Halfway through the project, owner said they had found "bad wood," and added 4346.00 to the charges. Said if I didn't pay, he would put a lien on my house. However, there was bad wood in the garage that I had pointed out on our initial walk-around (and which was included in the original estimate) but had failed to be communicated to his crew. Therefore, they had to rip out some of the new wood and shingles so they could replace the bad wood at the end of the project. When they had finished, I asked about the gutter helmets. He said we'd talked about them but "I signed the contract." Said there'd be additional charges if I wanted them too.

The owner is really invested in his company - uses latest efficient estimating tools, satellite data, mobile office in vehicle, etc.
Very easy to communicate with. Very knowledgeable about shingle technology, installation methods etc.
They really worked hard to finish the job on time in spite of bad weather.
They did thorough check of attic ventilation.

Darren (an owner) uses the latest technology for estimation and sales. In fact he can send a quote from his iPad to his truck for printing. We scheduled a time to begin work and the crew arrived as promised. They took great care of our landscaping and went out of their way to keep their materials organized and access open to our garage. We ran into some late winter weather that caused more than a few delays but they kept coming back as promised and finished the job professionally. We have a complex roof and chose a simulated slate shingle that proved to be a little tricky to install. The owners spent time on our roof working with the installers to make sure it was perfect, and it is.
We couldn't be happier with the experience, the company and our new roof!

Working with Darren and The Roof Company was wonderful. Darren was always very responsive, honest and professional. He had great attention to detail and really paid attention to our wish to keep repairs and other work cost effective. The estimate was very detailed and clear. The roofers and gutter person did a great job in the execution of the job, and appeared to focus on quality over speed in their work. The crew was efficient and effective. Roof was completed in about a day and a half. Cleanup was impeccable and the roof looks great. There is no sign that the house was just re-roofed - not only did they clean up, they re-connected a few gutter extensions that they didn't even displace. Price was a touch higher than several competitors, BUT the roof company.net uses a concealed system of air intake vents over the gutters combined with ridge vents to maintain a proper air flow, and the result is a solid roof surface unbroken by ventilation fans. The lower estimates I got were based on the use of roof ventilation fans that would have resulted in a less attractive home.
Basically, you get full value for the price, and the competitors were still within a couple hundred dollars even with a less sophisticated plan for ventilation. With this company, the roof ends up looking much better, and the workmanship is good - I felt that I got my money's worth and would not hesitate to use the roof company.net again in the future.

The work was professionally done and the yard and area around our home was kept very neat and clean. We have two very young boys and found that the work was not as loud as we anticipated during their naps as well. Darrin was very professional and courteous. A small problem came when the board where the Direct TV satelite was installed needed to be replaced and the satelite could not be reinstalled in its original position. We needed to call for it to be reinstalled by Direct TV. Darrin took the cost of this service fee off our bill as compensation for the time we were without service. The roof was installed in a matter of two days and looks great. We coordinated the gutters and shutters for the home to be done through a subcontractor and that work was scheduled to be done a few weeks later as my wife and I had not decided on the extent of the gutter work, colors etc.
