Gates Heating & Cooling

Eric Gates installed the new AC system for me some years ago and since then, the AC haven't been working properly. In the last 4 or 5 years he hasn't found the leaking spots and only came to refill the coolant which is against the MI Laws. This year, he even ignored my call and didn't come to refill the coolant. What a bad example is the company?

I love Eric Gates....he always comes out to the house the same day, sometimes within an hour ...No appointments weeks in the future, he arrives fast & does a great job . Iv been using Gates for 15 years maybe...Never a problem with them doing business or the price....love them ....U CAN NOT go wrong with Gates heating & cooling

Fantastic experience. They were able to get to my house within a couple of hours of calling, they were very courteous and professional on the phone and in person. They were able to diagnose and fix my problem quickly and for an extremely reasonable rate. My experience with HVAC companies is that it's hard to find a service provider who isn't at minimum out to nickel and dime you with call out fees on top of any repairs they do (because they have you over a barrel when your HVAC is broken) OR worst case deliberately mislead you into spending much more than you need to. This experience however was fantastic and I'm pleased that I found somebody I trust for all my HVAC needs going forward. Can't recommend this business highly enough.

Eric Gates and crew installed our air conditioning unit in our first house in Ypsilanti township over 25 years ago, replaced the water heater (at least once), serviced the air conditioner and other heating products over the years. They also had performed many of the same services to my parents in Milford for over 25 years. We always have received a great response, professional service, and a fair price. When we moved to South Lyon this past year and had an air conditioning issue (on the hottest day of the summer, of course), Eric diagnosed the problem on his way home that night, and returned a half hour later with the right part to get us up and running again. The price was unbelievable given the fast service and after hours timing of the problem. When we replace our aging air conditioner or need any other products or services, Eric Gates will be the first and probably only person we'll call.

I have DTE protection plan, so a different group came out and diagnosed that my air conditioner was broken, and needed to be replaced. They couldn't do the work for 2 weeks, and I had guests coming to stay over the next day, so I called around to some local places. Eric Gates made an effort to come out right away, give me a quote that was a bit cheaper (for same unit) as the first company, and could install it the next day. He was on time the next day, and did a fantastic job. Would definitely recommend.

Eric Gates was prompt and fit me into his schedule even though I was calling last minute. He kept me informed about when he was showing up and made it on time. He was informative and fair. I asked him for a frank evaluation of my boiler and also asked whether he would recommend anything else that might need to get taken care of.  He said there were some small things but that all in all it would be money waste for what it was worth. I appreciated his candor.

They are very knowledgeable and they do not try to over sell you. They are honest and hardworking people. I am over all very pleased with them. Scheduling is fine, they are able to show up on time and even a little bit early. When I do call to make the appointment, they are able to come out quickly depending on the situation.

They did an outstanding job. He's very careful because the job was difficult, he was very careful in how he planned it out and it looks very nice and cleans up after his work and just did an outstanding job. We had 3 estimates and his was right in line with everybody else.
