I was very disappointed with the results. First of all, the finished floor didn't look much like the sample shown in the store. The final product displayed much more dark and light color variety and large grain detail. The sample wood was "clear" compared to the actual wood which had much "character". Secondly, when I look into the room from 20 feet away, it appears the individual boards have different gloss levels. As I move closer, I realize the gloss level is the same, but many boards are tilted. When I walk on the floor, it also feels tilted. The business owner came out to look and told me this was a normal floor of this type. A second visit by an employee of the wood supplier and the business owner's wife resulted in a written report which indicated the wood supplied was not defective. Next, I hired an unbiased, third party, certified inspector of wood flooring at my own expense. The inspector's report notes: raised planks, a cracked plank, gaps between boards, unmatched planks with rough grain, 3/4 inch required expansion space at perimeter of room, not provided. Many planks are tight against the baseboards. I maintain proper humidity levels. The report also indicates the installers failed to correct joints or flatness issues which is clearly their responsibility. The business owner's solution offers labor to replace a couple of boards. There are multiple defects at the beginning, middle and end of the room, not a quick simple fix. In searching for a solution as to how to remedy the lack of perimeter expansion space, I can see none. If a 3/4 inch gap was cut back, the typical 3/4 inch quarter round molding may not cover the cut edge under all normal temperature and humidity conditions. Even if all the extensive alterations needed were done, the floor is no longer a new floor, but patchwork. I see no other alternative but to hire another flooring professional to tear out this nailed down floor and start over using proper installation methods.
Response from PRO QUALITY FLOORING
"The floor matched the sample properly and the manufacturers representative confirmed this. I believe the client was disappointed because it did not match the existing sand and finish wood floor it connected to. Installation was beautiful and initial contact contained no installation complaints. A follow up letter was sent to client after inspection of which we did not get a reply."

This is the third time I've had Pro Quality Flooring do work in my house over the last 11 years. I'm very satisfied with the results. The breakdown of the job is as follows: Kitchen/Laundry/Dining area Sheet Vinyl: 384 Sq ft, $2915 Great Room carpet: 231 sq ft, $1367 Carpet for stairs: 66 sq ft, $265 Flooring materials cover a wide price range and I chose items that were above average price although certainly not the most expensive. So keep in mind the job could have been cheaper if I selected less expensive materials. I like working with this company because they have plenty of selection in their showroom, but they are still small enough that they actually employ the installers themselves rather that passing it off to some other company. Over the years I've learned to value the quality of the installation as much or more than the quality of the finished materials. There are fewer communications issues and easier problem resolution when there is only one company involved. I had a few special requests that they handled properly. The installers for Pro Quality are very good at what they do. Although I've had carpet installed several times, this was the first time I had vinyl replaced. It turns out the cost of the vinyl is less than half the cost of the job overall. They tear up the existing vinyl and the plywood it's glued to. Then the have to lay down a new layer of plywood and use a joint compound and sanding similar to a drywall seam to create a smooth surface before gluing down the new vinyl. When they took up the existing floor, it turns out there was another vinyl floor below it. There was a section of vinyl tiles that were missing in the lower floor but they were able to patch in some scrap vinyl to make a level surface. Also, the laundry room had no baseboard at all so they put in some new baseboard moulding and cut the height to match the corners of the existing moulding (non-standard height because of the dual layer floors.) The job included new shoe moulding except where they reused the existing cabinet moulding so it would still match. They found a kick panel for my dishwasher which didn't have one because it had been replaced after the kitchen cabinets were installed. The job included moving and replacing the washer, dryer, fridge and oven. It was a solid 2-day job for a 2-person crew. They were very careful with my appliances and the work space was very clean when they were done each day. The finished job looks wonderful. The carpet install also went well and looks great. I had a bad carpet install once from another company many years ago so I'm happy to work with a company that has done good work for me in the past.

Thorough consultation on products available, installation, and provided great information including pros and cons on the different methods for installing LVT flooring.  Owner took the time to introduce himself to us and welcome us to his store.  Sales staff were very patient and thorough in answering all of our questions and even stayed past closing on my first visit.  Also found out in my comparison shopping that their prices are competitive (and even a little lower than some) and their selection of LVT flooring is extensive.

The installers did a great job.  They came on time and finished timely.  We did have a small issue with a couple of tiles that did not adhere well.  It took a little long to coordinate effort for installer to correct problem but they did work with us to resolve it.

Went to a many different stores to look at flooring. The expert advice given at Pro-Quality was helpful in making the correct decisions for our home. Owner is helpful and genuine, no pressure approach makes for a comfortable shopping. The installers that the store used performed well and we have had no issues.

They caused problems and have the worst customer service and issue resolution we've dealt with from professional servicemen. Beware! They will not 'make good' on their mistakes. And it took them 4 weeks and several calls from installation date to finally come back out to talk about the issues. We felt avoided/ ignored. Figures.. considering we paid cash in full, so they had they're money, they were done with us.
The carpet install was wonderful, but the vinyl floor installation job had several issues.
-The underlayment that they installed had several imperfect panels screwed down that had scrapes and carved channels that were visible as dents once the vinyl was installed over top. The answer we got was 'that is what the guys picked up from the store, sometimes the stores products are flawed'. I think it's they duty to select the best product before installing it in my home.
-Also we could see a couple underlayment joints through the vinyl. We also saw several bumps that appeared to be nail or screw heads that were pushing the vinyl up (I hope they don't become tears). The crew and owner didn't/ couldn't fix the issue.
-They took off our heating vents and did not put them back on.
-When they installed the floor they had to take off our bi-fold closet doors, and were not re-installed correctly (One fell off the hinge) and they lost a missing spring between the doors and didn't replace it.
-They nicked our drywall twice and didn't fess up, we had discovered it.
-They had to detach and remove our refrigerator. When they put it back, they bent and peirced our copper water line. The owner, Fred, did not agree to pay or physically replace the water line even though his crew created the problem. Our fridge was leaking for 4 weeks. We had no idea! Then we had to spent hours fixing it ourselves.
-Also there are spots where the underlayment they installed created bad rubbing points which results in the loudest squeaks right by the back door. There is no way to avoid stepping on the squeaky point and it frustrates us every time we step on it.
-Also, the vinyl floor we choose was a matte finish, at seems they used a sealant that was glossy, so now we have a very visible shiny strip all down our matte floor. This alone is nearly a deal breaker for even wanting the floor, as now it looks real trashy. The owner told us that was the low gloss sealant but it will fad in time. It's been 2 months, it hasn't changed a bit (embarrassing for our holiday party plans).
Bad bad bad resolution. I expect more from the direct business owner than that.
Response from PRO QUALITY FLOORING
"We disagree and were un aware of items in this evaluation. We do not have a client with this name but do recognize the address. There was no delay in offering an appointment to inspect refrigerator concern. A leaking or improperly installed water line before our arrival does not become our responsibility. We offered to return and help when a new water line was purchased but did not hear back from client. Seam sealer is purchased with the floor from the manufacturer and we cannot control gloss level. We were unaware of a missing spring or some other issues but would we willing to discuss with homeowner or anyone else if desired. We do appreciate the great grades in price and carpet installation. Pro Quality Flooring continues to focus on superior customer satisfaction using better products and a great value to our clients. Thank You!"

I went to the store which is located in a plaza at the corner of Hayes and Hall road. I selected and paid $25 deposit. The next week, Pro Quality arrived to measure for the flooring and I paid another $100 towards my total.

Two weeks later the installers arrived to do the work. The work was completed in a very short time and I paid the $200 balance by check to them, The work is beautiful. The foyer has 3 doorways and all the flooring in that area was finished with shoe molding and divider strips.

If you are considering flooring, Pro Quality should be on your list. The selection for all kinds of flooring is huge and the staff is very polite and answered all questions I had. A good job well done.

On November 29, I received instructions in the mail from Pro Quality advising me on how to care for the new flooring that I had put in. They also listed some do's and don'ts which I thought was very helpful!

I chose them because my sister-in-law used them. Nice men came in, did their work and left everything neat. They had good products and they were fast and efficient. We thought they were very fair in price. We plan to use them in the future.

Exceptional install job. The two-man crew was courteous, and performed in a professional manner. The job took two days and included re-nailing the joists through the old floor, installing a new luan surface and then installing a new Mannington vinyl floor.
