We had two handmade kitchen cabinet doors that were severely damaged after a kitchen remodel. The doors, when they were remodeled, weren't put together well and had actually split into pieces. I was doubtful that they could be put back together again, but wanted to try as the kitchen cabinets are all handmade and we couldn't get an appropriate replacement.
I took the pieces to John. He was able to put them back together, match the original finishes that had been darkened with time, re-glue them and they just look beautiful.
I was thrilled. John was professional, reasonable, returned the doors before he said he would, and his work was flawless. I am so happy to have him as a resource for this type of work.
I just want to add that the doors weren't just split, one of the doors had a sheared off piece at an odd angle, he was able to fix that so it is no longer visible. Perfect!
The cane was lined up perfectly. The color matched very well.
He had also reglued some joints that had loosened as the old glue had dried out.
It took a little longer than we expected but as we told him we would rather it take longer and be done well. It was done very well. The total cost was even a little on the low side.
