Shower did not drain. They came back and used all spare tiles to rework. Still does not drain. Was told they would order more tiles and fix the shower. Be back in 2 weeks. 2 months later and no communication. They did order tile which I am now paying for and finding a new contractor to complete. Project was to be complete by May 1, It's now the end of September.

Excellent. Rob is the general contractor who has various other workers who do the job. All were great at what they do and if there are any issues Rob will deal them . I really loved the quality of the work! My new tile shower, tile floor and quartz countertop look fantastic!

Prior to project started, Rob visited us several time to communicate with us on our needs and brought up new ideas in our space and resource constrained settings. As part of the work, his team was able to communicate with us problems seen as everything unfolded and provided us options that best suit our need as well as strike a balance between safety, practicality and our budget. Rob always responds to us through text or email very quickly so our inputs got addressed immediately. For a major home improvement project, timely communication from both ends are critical so new findings and inputs are communicated and addressed quickly while all parties involved as constantly aligned toward a great outcome We are superbly appreciative of Rob and his team’s work and looking forward to our next project

Rob and his team did a terrific job on more than 4 jobs we’ve hired them for. The quality of work is excellent, Rob always works with our budget and preferences, and Rob always ensures the work is finished properly and neatly. I’m very pleased with the pace of the projects and communication from Rob and his team. I have trusted Rob with several projects and will continue to do so. I can’t recommend him more highly!

Rob - I just wanted to let you know what a great job you and your crew did building our home. My wife and I had never had a truly custom home built for us before so we were quite nervous but your calm and approachable style made us really comfortable. I really appreciated how patient you were whenever we changed our minds through the process. I've heard horror stories where builders charged an arm and leg for even simple changes so your flexibility was awesome. Your guys also did a great job on the “extra” projects, like building a detached garage that matched our home, and the two decks they built are wonderful. I was so done with trying to design things by the end of the process so it was nice to just say Rob, I need two decks and have them turn out so nicely. Our home turned out great! I wish we wouldn't have waited so long to tackle building our dream home.

Rob is honest, easy to work with, and always responsive to our requests. We are very happy with how the final projects turned out, and have recommended his team to many others.

We were extremely happy, they did a very good job, little things needed to be fixed and they came right on it and fixed the issues. The people has been polite and very professional and since that time, he was our go to guy for other things needed into our house and we were very happy every time they do the work for us.

Rob Fowler did a major transformation to our home, and we couldn't be more pleased with his work. He worked with me to come up with great ideas every step of the way; I am very thankful for his input and recommendations! The work was completed as promised for a reasonable price. Rob and his team were prompt, courteous and did a quality job. Very easy to work with.

The service was impeccable. He was pretty openminded, and came out pretty well.

One of the most amazing things he did is that we had a very large countertop, he took it out and when he put it back, it looks like perfect. He did an amazing, he was incredibly professional, very clean, timely, they came in even on Saturdays and got the job done.

Rob started by installing baseboards in our home and it went well. Then we had him install hardwood floors throughout a little over 1,000 square feet of our home and this is when things started to go down hill. Floor boards were installed with chips and scratches in them, walls that we just had professionally painted were banged up and they oiled their nail guns right in front of the walls which sprayed oil all over. The job was started and then dragged on for months. Rob would tell us he or one of his employees would be over at 9, then a couple hours later say after lunch, then 3, then they'd never show up. They were always late and on a number of occasions didn't show up. The job was dragging on for a lot longer than we were originally told and after talking to Rob about it, he said he would finish the job the next week. Next week turned into a few months and if we weren't persistent, I'm sure the job would still be unfinished. Rob told us he could install really nice crown molding above our kitchen cabinets. We expressed that we didn't want it overlapping the window casing. He rushed through the job leaving a big mess all over my brand new granite countertops and stove. He didn't bother to cover anything. The job was left half done and the crown molding was overlapping the window casing. We had to ask him many times to come out and finish it. He came out again, rushed through the job and left a huge mess. There was tons of caulk all over our new hardwood floors and a huge scratch in our brand new stainless steel dishwasher. We informed Rob of the scratch. He never apologized. He had one of his employees use some product to remove the scratch which left a permanent huge smear across our dishwasher. Rob said he'd order a new cover for the dishwasher door. Four weeks later and we hadn't heard anything. I honestly think he never ordered it. We called and texted and he would not answer or reply. Finally, I called on a Sunday evening and I think he must've not realized it was me and picked of the phone. It was 5 1/2 weeks later. I told him I just wanted to get this fixed and be done. He said he had x dollars wrapped up in the job so he wanted to get it done too. It was finally done the next week and only took one of his employees about 5 minutes. We had new carpet installed and Rob and his workers walked all over it the next day with their shoes on. We kindly asked Rob on one occasion to cover his shoes. He continued walking on it and said he had wiped his feet. I could go on and on, but this is our third home. We have had a ton of work done and I've never dealt with a contractor this bad.

R Fowler Construction failed to provide work of reasonable quality in a timely fashion. Work performed directly by Fowler was slow and lacked attention to detail. Much of what was done was rushed and not well thought-out or executed. Subcontractor work was of mixed quality, but some was poor. This poor quality turned out to be due to a lack of supervision from Fowler, lack of experience, or a combination of the two. The proposed completion time of four and a half months turned into a nearly year long project, with many items not being completed before we terminated the relationship. That relationship was terminated when we discovered that Fowler had not been paying his subcontractors. While our experience with R Fowler Construction started out positive (see the "B" grade for being responsive) after the fact the lack of professionalism was apparent. While on the job Fowler would respond quickly to calls and questions, but either ignored specific requests or made excuses. While the initial quoted price may have been reasonable, the extra expense of having many jobs done twice explains "F" grade for price. For all other ratings no explanation of the "F" is required, you should simply avoid working with R Fowler Construction.
