The original estimates Eddie explained what needed to be done and how he was going to do it. At the time I was working a lot and couldnt be there to babysit the job but my wife who was very pregnant at the time oversaw the work. Eddie did a good job installing the spindles but the drywall work in the bedroom was sub par. The wall in the bedroom ended up with waves in the drywall and looks like crap. I will now need to sand it down and do what is necessary to clean it up. The second job was to level the floor. Eddie instead of providing a written estimate didnt write anything down and provide us with any written estimate. So we were forced to rely on a phone call estimate several days after inspecting the work. My wife and I agreed to the phone estimate. Eddie starts the job and well into the job he demands that we pay an a cost that was well above what was originally quoted. My wife told him we are paying what was originally quoted. He proceeded to yell and get aggressive with my wife demanding his money. I receive a call at work from my wife who was at the time in the last month of per pregnancy crying and very upset. I speak to Eddie and he gives me a song and dance how he does good work ... has a family to feed, going on and on with every excuse as to why we should pay this overly inflated price from what was quoted. I refused because we wouldnt have hired him had he quoted us with this higher cost. We had a strict budget. So I paid him what was quoted. After going through all that Eddie left without replacing our hard wood floor which was part of the job. He tells me he would be back. After several calls he refused to do it and told me I had to do it. So I paid a large amount of cash for an unfinished job in which in the end I had to learn how to put in a hard wood floor and do it myself. I would definitely NOT recommend having this guy do anything for you and if you do get a full written estimate listing everything he is to do if you want to take that chance. Eddie is a dishonest person and I wish I had hired someone else to do this job. Working with him was NOT worth the aggravation! You dont yell and scream at a pregnant woman or at women in general.
