I brought my dog, Archie, in for a routine checkup and vaccinations. He's a former shelter dog and heartworm survivor, so while he's
generally a pretty easygoing dog, he's VERY sensitive to being restrained and poked with needles. We moved to St. Clair Shores a year ago, and it was our first visit to Moore. It took more than one tech to hold him down (and he's only about 30 lbs) but they got the job done and we left in one piece. Everyone there was very kind and attentive, friendly at the front desk, and I received a call back the same day
Archie's stool sample was analyzed to let us know he had hookworm and to come in for some meds. He's been to a few different vet's offices, and I felt that Moore's prices were pretty much in line with the other clinics, if not lower.
I also noticed (and liked) that there are separate doors for the entrance and exit, and you're allowed to fill out paperwork in the exam room if your pet is the type that will go beserk if there's another animal in the waiting room. (Not that I would know anything about that.) TOTALLY something other clinics should be doing!! So far so good with Moore!

It went really well. I felt like I was being heard, my dog was treated gently but thoroughly and the doctor put my mind to rest about his 10 pound weight loss. Duke is doing better and I feel hopeful we can keep his pain under control.

I believe Moore does what they can to help him and am usually satisfied with the treatment and they love our baby up when we come in, even when he smells from the infections the allergies cause. Usually, I am quite content there and would rather be seen by Dr. Burkholder. They seem a bit expensive but I haven't compared to others so it may be the going rate.

One of the cats has a problem with her gums so they have to go in and do a cleaning, give her anesthetic and clean her teeth and last time they had to pull a tooth. I don't remember what the price was but I do know that I looked online and their prices are comparable or less expensive than other vets.
I've used them for quite awhile. The reason I started using them is because one of the people that works there worked at my husband's office.

A continuing saga....I use them for my current dog and will continue using them for as long as I am around.

They are just nice and whenever I have surgery they always call and tell me how she's doing. When I bring her home they call and ask how she's doing, if anything is going or if she's fine. They just check up and make sure everything is going okay.

The procedure went very smoothly and the charges were quite reasonable. We have taken all our cats to Moore Vet for many years and will continue to do so. Drs. Nurse and Burkholder are superior clinicians and have always treated us and our animals with professionalism, love and, above all, respect.

I am very glad I had found this vet so many years ago. They always seem to know what the problem is, and really do a great job of prescribing the right medications and information to help us. My dog recovered nicely and I would highly recommend their services.
