We have had a yearly plan with them and we?ve had it for about 4 years now. We had yellow jackets on our front porch that we couldn?t get rid of but they did one treatment and got rid of them!

They came in May and I paid 199 for the initial visit, and 71 for the second visit. They came in May for the initial visit and then in June and implied that they would not be able to get rid of the ant problem. They were supposed to come on August the 12th and they didn't come. They told me they would be coming today, August 24th, to spray again and I have not heard back.

We set up the appointment.  They have an automated system for reminders.  They called when they were on their way.  The provider was professional, gave information in writing before doing any work. The price was fair and they will return at any time if we have a problem. We decided to hire them on an ongoing basis.
I would ask Orkin to update their information on Angie's List:  currently it states they are not EcoFriendly, .... etc.   I was told their products are ecofriendly AND pet friendly .... 

hornets never returned and there was no charge for the additional visit.

It went really well. They ended up saving us something like $200 to $300 a year in heating.

Orkin was professional, on time and provided what I needed. I had lady bugs and some strange type of bug I wasn't sure of. After treatment they were gone.

Horrible service! Total lack of communication!

I stopped using Orkin part way through my contract and told them not to come back. They were supposed to call before they came out so I could give them access to the house and they only called once out of 3 supposed visits. They claimed they came, but they never left slips saying they had come.

I have been using them for years. We pay them yearly and they come for about four to five times.

I last used them in the fall, but they were supposed to start back in the spring and they sent me a bill, but the technician hasn't showed up yet. They are okay. They were punctual except for this last time, because I recall they called and talked to my wife about coming, but they have not shown up yet. I did have a dispute with them about a bill once, as they had billed me for a trip that they didn't do. I have used their services for about 6-7 years, if not more, and this has been the first time that that has happened where I received a bill for a service that was not rendered. As far as I know, that has been all cleared up, except they have not shown up yet this time around. The other thing that does not have to do with them as much as it does was just the notion of the chemicals that they use; I get concerned about that, but that is with any of them.

They are always professional and on time. If something wasn't done right or if they didn't get rid of what they supposed to get rid of, they would come back and redo it. They are a good company. We have never used anybody else, so I don't know who to compare them to. I am sure they will be here this spring.

I was not disappointed in the results of the work. I did see good results. I was disappointed that they charged me when they did not come because I told them not to come to my home. They refused to change the charge, they would not refund it. I know I called and left a message to tell not to come out because I believed my situation was under control. They say they leave cards after their visit and I surely did not have one so I know they were not being truthful. Make sure if you do use them that you verify all appointments and read the fine print. They do a good job with their work, but I doubt their integrity.

The Service was very good until they consolidated offices to saginaw. the billing address changed which created many problems. they lost payments( confirmed sent by bank) where extremely unprofessional when trying to resolve the problem. when it continued they blamed it on us, threatened collections and where Very Rude! Would never recommend using them and the manager in saginaw needs to be fired and find a job that does not interact with customers. I will also be writing a letter to the corporale office!

The guy who comes puts on slippers so he doesn't track through my house. It is the same guy every single time and he seems to be thorough. We pay them yearly.

A few days later, I discussed with a friend about this pest solution situation and was advised by them to get a second opinion, especially with the large cost involvement. I contacted my realtor at Park Homes, Midland, MI, who recommended someone out of town for a subjective opinion...
I called John Spencer, 989-777-0235, of Sherlock Homes Inspectors from Frankenmuth, MI to inspect my home and he found NO MICE DROPPINGS IN THE BASEMENT above ceiling tiles. He said the insulation was fine and it was obvious to him, somebody KICKED around the insulation making cold spots for us, because mice couldn't do that much insulation movement and destruction. I have photographs he took in a detailed report. The mouse droppings were found all around bait boxes.
Tom, the Orkin representative, said our insulation was unine stained by mice and in bad shape. It is supposed to be WHITE AS SNOW but ours was grey. John, the home inspector said our insulation IS SUPPOSED TO BE GREY and it is fiberglass and much better than cellulose. Tom showed me the grey insualtion and rolled it into a ball, saying it shouldn't happen. John, on the other hand said fiberglass insulation is rollable into balls.
Tom called our type of insulation ROCK WOOL, but John said they stopped making ROCK WOOL back in the 1950's....My home was built in 1997, and NOT... ROCK WOOL. Furthermore, John never heard of TAP insulation...and he never heard of sucking out attic insulation either... Orkin's bi-monthy inspections are really unnessary at this point because there are no pests, but most of all, I have personally lost confidence in their integrity, who they are as a company. Furthermore, there is so much fine print on their contracts. It says I could never obtain a lawyer, and all disputes would go thru their arbitration. They seem to have their contract loopholes all set in their favor. The bi-monthly inspections are not as thorough as the first time either.
Orkin does not move furniture to get to spray wall baseboards either. I always have to provide a ladder for them. I was told they were not allowed to carry ladders on their truck.
Clayton, is the bi-monthy guy, who calls before coming out. He is very nice. However, due to his BMI, and physical condition, he is unable to get into the attic... Tom, however, could maneuver about easily, being in better physical shape. I trusted Tom and felt he was professional at the time, non the less, even though he lied to me.
The first spraying was done by another worker. He raced rapidly around the house, working very fast. He was almost breathless and seemed he was in a big hurry....but what he did worked. I'm really sorry I wasted money on a one year contract. I got on the internet and read some negative reviews for Orkin afterward. I was surprised what was reported by others. My advice is to always get a second opinion on large jobs. Read the internet reports on Orkin and decide for yourself what is your best alternative.
