Furnace / Forced Air Heating System Install or Replace
I'm so glad I chose Royal Oak Heating, Cooling, & Electrical for my home. Their team did a fantastic job on both my furnace and AC system. From the initial appointment to the final installation, the communication was excellent. The technician was a true professional—he was on time, clearly explained the work, and answered all of my questions. The pricing was fair and transparent, and the quality of the work is outstanding. I highly recommend them for any HVAC or electrical needs.

I was referred to this company by my neighbor for a new generator and new electric panel to have more slots and an increase in load for my home. The salesperson (Mike) who was let go this past year) wrote up the quote and promised me all was good my requests and concerns for adding my upcoming purchases of EV vehicle and replacement hot tub; this was Sept 2023. Now I am ready and have bought the Hot tub but there is NOT sufficient AMPs on panel nor load on Generator. I called up Royal Oak H&C, Mike's replacement came out and told me today there were no NOTES on my account from Mike and since I signed the quote (which I TRUSTED Mike was ordering what we discussed; I am a Finance person without much electrical knowledge) today I was told Royal Oak Heating & Cooling would do NOTHING to make this right!!! The new panel I need will cost $3,600 and maybe could discount it down to $2,900 & the generator disrupter is another $2K or more. I DO NOT RECOMMEND ROYAL OAK HEATING ELECTRICAL & COOLING since they do not stand behind their work nor do they communicate effectively with their customers. I rate them ZERO stars since I will now need to spend several thousands of dollars to correct this issue after already spending $13K with this Royal Oak Heating & Cooling & Electrical !!!

From start to finish, an outstanding job. The proposal for this complex job was provided by the owner, after a careful review and answering all of our questions. The installation required days of effort by a knowledgeable, friendly and highly trained crew. There was a lot of construction required, inside top to bottom, and outside. When the job was complete, our home was restored to the state that it was in when the job began. This was our second major job in our more than 20 year relationship. My expectations were exceeded, again. Highly recommend.

They came out got it started but went out again they came back they said the code it was giving could be a few things and without being there when it went out couldn't be sure so they replaced a gas valve (most likely cause) but it went out again when they came back it happened while they were there it was a circuit board, they replaced it and no problems since.

Excellent! Scott the co-owner who quoted the job asked many questions in order to recommend systems and explained suggestions. The installers were prompt, neat and very accommodating to some work I needed to do once the old systems were removed. I highly recommend them

Installer came and inspected my HVAC system (newly purchased house) to see why the C wire was not delivering power to my new Nest thermostat. Saw the wire was a combination of old and new (spliced) 4 and 5 wire. Ran new wire to my thermostat and hooked everything up. Installer was happy to answer any questions I had.

Job took two two trips. I was given an appointment after 5 but not told that there was a stiff after hours charge - did not need a show that bad. I called the dispatcher about this and the after hours up-charge was removed with no argument. Anyway the repairman did not have the right part to fix so need to come back the next day. So he came by the next day with the part, however, the part did not fix it, so another guy brought the actual needed part and hot water heater is now fixed. Fortunately the two parts were still covered by manufacture warranty so there was no charge for parts. However, they charged $40 for "part pick up". They charged 2 hours labor which was very fair. But what surprised me was a $64 diagnostic fee on top of the total bill. Since I hired them for the job, one would think the diagnostic fee would be waived since I paid for the time to do the diagnostics and repair. So the $40 part pickup fee and the $64 diagnostic fee turned a reasonable repair price into what I feel was a high repair price. I guess I was spoiled by my prior repair guy that would come by just about anytime I needed him and was fast and cheap ( once he came by July 4th to fix my air condition for a total price of $178 for 2 hours work and a small part). Unfortunately after 10 years of using him, all his phone numbers are disconnected. I hope he is retired and not something more serious. Bottom line, if you use this company, go over what you will be charged for so there are no surprises.

It was a good experience. I was satisfied with everything. The price was fair, they came out promptly, diagnosed it and I didn't get a sense that I was being bled dry or anything like that. They charged me about $800 for the blower motor. It was pricey. I checked it out online and it was fairly typical. I would give them an unqualified recommendation. The price seemed fair, but not outrageous.
