It’s been 4 years since our kitchen cabinet refacing install and I still have a spike of anger anytime I walk into my kitchen and see the poor quality of our cabinets. Just to be fair, here are the positives: the designer was very kind, the workers were very kind, and with the lifetime warranty, they have to come back and paint over the mistakes when the old paint chips away due to using the worst hinges. Here are the bad parts: Scott Curd - project manager - gaslit me anytime anything went wrong on their end (which was often), including calling me OCD for wanting what they agreed to deliver, and threatening to cease work if I didn’t do what he wanted. Customer Service - scheduling was a nightmare, thought they were coming in November 2019, only to be told the tear out would be 12/26 and install 1/2/2020. So I had no kitchen over the holidays. I could let that go. A few cabinets showed up cut incorrectly. Bullying tactics were used when I wouldn’t except the defects. Ran out of char

I can’t recommend them. Eventually the kitchen was mostly finished. Unfortunately many missteps along the way (forgot to complete crown molding, forgot to order tile, didn’t get enough tile, no shows for work scheduled -just to name a few). I had to follow up to get things done and it still took over 4 months (cabinet painting, backsplash, sink, countertops).

We had a phenomenal experience working with Kurtis Kitchen and Bath for our bathroom and kitchen renovation. We started at the Royal Oak showroom with designer, Lauren Cuadrio. She used software to take our ideas and design the new rooms while we watched on a monitor at her desk. It was so cool to see the possibilities take shape, and Lauren readily understood what we wanted. The first room design she drafted for our kitchen made me gasp because it was like she read our minds. Lauren also walked us through the selection process, where we picked all of our new décor, and then handed things off to the project manager, Scott Curd. Scott was like our renovation warrior. He made sure the work was going according to schedule, and that things were being done right, and to our liking. Scott was on site frequently, answering questions, addressing concerns, and generally assuring the work kept on pace to completion. He was our single contact point for everything related to the work in our home, and that made it easy for us to make sure it all went well. Any questions we had, we just called Scott, and he took care of the details. Another factor that made the process easy was the use of the “Buildertrend” app, where we were able to see the complete work schedule for the renovation, as well as approve any changes that came about once the work started. We downloaded the app on our phones and PC, and knew what to expect on each day during the renovation. Kurtis Kitchen and Bath kept to that schedule, and the work was completed when we expected. The contractors who did the actual work were all friendly and polite, and worked as neatly as they could. Both our bathroom and kitchen are just gorgeous! We got exactly what we wanted, and we couldn’t be more pleased. Many thanks to Kurtis Kitchen and Bath for their top notch service and extremely efficient renovation process. We wholeheartedly recommend their services!!

Justin O'Brien at the Royal Oak Kurtis Kitchen & Bath was helpful, knowledgeable, and patient. Prices were very competitive with other local dealers. We are pleased with the quality and style of our new bathroom cabinets. We would highly recommend Kurtis Kitchen & Bath!

After a less-than-wonderful experience with another contractor I hired Kurtis to do my second bathroom. The experience was like night and day. Brian, the manager at the Royal Oak location was wonderful. Todd, the project manager, was knowledgeable. thorough and patient with all my questions.

We went to Kurtis Kitchen and Bath looking for cabinets as we were finishing our basement and adding a bar. Justin O'Brien did a fantastic job working with us to layout a design for our bar and get us cabinets that fell within the price range we were looking for. We will definitely go back for our next project!

To save money, I did my own cabinet removal and demolition, and they have done everything else.  All of the subcontractors have been punctual and professional.  We had only one change order that cost us some extra money, but everything else has been in line with the estimate.  Very happy with the result and very happy with Kurtis.

It went very well.  We walked into the Royal Oak store just to get ideas for our kitchen makeover, and to get a sense for what it would cost. We had already met with a custom contractor, who had estimated the cost of a full makeover at about $30,000.
:
We met with Justin O'Brien, who sat down with us and described the process, and our options, in detail. We would be able to save a lot of money by putting some sweat equity into the demolition of our existing kitchen, and by intelligent selection of the product we'd put into the new one.
:
Justin came out to the house and looked at our existing kitchen. We discussed our ideas for the new layout, and he made a few suggestions that made a lot of sense, that we incorporated into the design. We ended up with more useful counter space, more floor space, and more storage space, than we had  had in the older kitchen.
:
We put a lot of sweat into the makeover. We demolished the old kitchen, right down to plaster and 60 year-old subfloor. We rented the dumpster to haul all the old stuff away. We contracted with the plumber, electrician, and flooring guys. This added time to the project schedule, but saved us a lot on contractor fees.  Justin provided advice on timing of the various pieces - cabinets before floors, floors before appliances (especially the dishwasher).
:
The installation of the cabinets took only a couple of days, and the work went smoothly.  There was a little bit of a glitch with the counter tops - the granite we had selected at Kurtis was no longer in stock at the granite supplier, so we had to pick an alternative pretty quickly. Perhaps Kurtis should have checked with the granite supplier for availability before showing us the granite samples - an arguable point, but not worth quibbling over.
:
Overall, it was a very successful makeover. It took longer than we would have liked, but that's because we put a lot of our own effort into the job to save cost. Kurtis met their promise, and even came in under their initial cost estimate. The entire job cost about $17,000, but that included flooring, paint, drywall compound, dumpster rental, etc. - Kurtis's portion of the cost was much less than that.
:
Not sure I'd want to do as much work on my next renovation, and I'm not sure that Kurtis would be as competitive on an entire makeover job as they were on just the cabinets and countertop, but for what I needed them to do they were terrific.

Kurtis Kitchen & Bath Centers did a very quick job. They were very gracious and it was a pleasure working with them. 'A's across the board. We would use them in the future.

I was satisfied with the end result, but felt our communications could have been better. After the installation, we noticed a few things we would have liked a little differently and felt that the salesman should have informed us about these points before we made our decision. We didn't mind though, the work was done right and they cleaned up well when they were done.

Kurtis did a fine job... I have a smaller house and was impressed with what could be accomplished in such a small space. From the showroom visit to completion everything went well. I would recommend Kurtis to anyone redoing there kitchen or bath

I WAS NOT IMPRESSED WITH THE WORK DONE. THEY DID AN OKAY JOB BUT WE DIDN'T LIKE THE PAINT WE ENDED UP WITH. WE ARE WORKING ON IMPROVING THE JOB THEY DID BY REPLACING THE FLOOR AND PAINTING IT AGAIN. WE WERE NOT SATISFIED WITH WHAT THEY DID.
