My original time schedule was for construction to start in 4 - 6 weeks, due to the wet weather conditions it took 8. Although he's not the easiest person to get ahold of, Mario, the owner of Gelle, did keep me informed so I was not left wondering. He called me a few days in advance of construction, and he and his crew showed up on the day promised.
Day 1:
Removal of all old concrete using front-loader with pneumatic hammer attachment. Filled two 16 wheel dump trucks with debris, trucks were parked in the street as work began, no waiting, fill'em up and go. Using shovels, rakes and the front-loader the foundation for cement work was leveled and widened, gravel was added and compacted with a machine. Using a surveyors level to insure proper grade and slope, the wooden form work was installed. Yellow Caution tape was stretched across the drive and walk to warn any pedestrians.
As they're packing up their equipment the sun is setting.
The front-loader tires chewed up a piece of my front lawn, but it could have been worse.
Day 2:
Completion of any remaining forms, meanwhile another crew with specialized equipment arrives. Plywood is laid out in the driveway so the power wheel-barrel won't leave ruts in the compacted gravel bed. Two cement trucks show up and begin pouring. Steel re-bar is added as the concrete is placed. It's going like clockwork, these guys know what they're doing, and it's all done by hand. There's 2 or 3 of them on their knees with trowels smoothing the cement, then another worker using a special broom rakes it across the cement to create the non-slip finish. They work till it's done and once again, as they're packing up their equipment the sun is setting.
Day 3:
One worker shows up and removes all the wooden forms, a little later another shows up with the cement saw and begins cutting the joints. He's done in an hour or so, tells me not to drive on it for two weeks and he's gone.
A JOB WELL DONE!

Don't hire them! Awful the cement cracked & chipped up and heaved up next to our garage in less than a year Mario Gelle told us to put Teah a sealer to prevent chipping it discolored the cement and did nothing to prevent the cement from chipping. When they tried to fix the sewer line the porch cracked digging the hole to get to it. The plumber they sent over had got cement dust all over our house cutting a hole in our floor for a bathroom in our basement floor he didn't stop at the dollar store to buy plastic drop cloths to seal up the room before he cut the floor. All my neighbors hated the job they did. They didn't call the city to do inspections or pull permits even though Mary at the City building dept gave us their name and said they would. The painters bowed one of our walls in. We spent close to 60 thousand dollars to fix up our house. I am 84 have had 2 strokes, I`m on social security borrowed the money to fix our house and I am very disappointed in their work. Don`t Hire them.
