HILLCREST SOD FARMS

Hillcrest delivered the sod and installed it promptly and professionally.

Of 6 leads/requests for quotes  - all from AL - only 2 responded initially - then a third one did later as they allegedly were not getting messages from AL.
The first contractor to respond came out - gave me a ballpark quote and never sent a hard copy.
Then Hillcrest (Mike) came out and left me a firm quote which I accepted on the spot. Mike answered all my questions and sent an AL message to set up the dates.

I have had some difficulty to schedule to come out,  but the workers did good job.

Overall, pretty pleased.  Initially, did not install Sod to my property line, but came back later and finished the job. I think it there was a bit of a mix-up between myself and the crew. They were quick and professional.  Communication could have been better, but overall I would recommend them and use again in the future if I need any service.

They removed my old lawn, put down 2 yards of top soil, leveled it and installed the sod. They were very prompt and the whole process was done in a reasonable amount of time. The guys who laid the sod were very helpful and answered all my questions. I would not hesitate to use them again.

Mike's crew laid sod for the front yard, the sides of the house, the area beyond the front sidewalk and a partial area in back. I downsized the front garden and they put in a new liner and added fresh soil to the garden for me. Also added some soil to a small area of garden in back. They spotted a small pinhole leak in the sprinkler system when preparing the ground to lay the sod. The crew is very pleasant and the crew leader, Chris, was very easy to talk to regarding any questions I had. The sod laid in back in the very small area was extra and so was the soil and liner for the garden, but Mike stuck with the original estimate. It was a difficult time this part of the summer season for sod farms due to all the excessive thunderstorms. All ended up going very well regardless. Very good communication and office is very pleasant. Thanks to all.

This company was awesome!
The company owner kept us well informed regarding installation dates and was kind enough to make an adjustment due to a change in our personal schedules. The crew arrived on time and the foreman confirmed the work to be done and got the crew working. These guys worked hard and with hardly a break.
They responded to any concerns I had about what was being done and made adjustments as I requested. When finished they cleaned up all around the house and swept the walks and driveway. The owner then explained how I needed to water and when.

Excellent! All work was performed as expected in a professional and neat manner. The quality of the dirt and sod was very good, the job was finished in a timely fashion, the guys were all friendly and skillful, and the whole area was cleaned up, including the street. Mike was very responsive to our situation in needing someone to deliver and lay sod on short notice and did not disappoint us in any way.

Due to the extreme heat this summer and my sprinkler system being down for several weeks, my front yard was nothing but dirt and weeds. I talked to lawn service's but none laid sod. Very satisfied with entire encounter from my first phone call setting up job through laying of sod. Mike even offered to come out and cut the grass in two weeks as I will be out of town. Very helpful and friendly.
