I had a very disappointing experience with Schoenherr Roofing. Can't believe 500+ 5 star reviews are true. I signed a contract at my home and later attempted to cancel within a few days after realizing I wanted to go another direction. They refused to return my deposit, even though they had not started any work, had not pulled permits, and had not ordered any materials. Most importantly, they also failed to provide the legally required "Notice of Right to Cancel" under the FTC Cooling-Off Rule, which gives homeowners the right to cancel contracts signed at their residence. After multiple emails communications, they finally agreed to release me from the contract but still kept my deposit ? despite having done absolutely nothing. I consider this unfair and not in line with ethical business practices. I?ve initiate to file complaints with the Michigan Attorney General, BBB, and FTC. I would caution anyone considering doing business with this company ? make sure you fully understand the

An extremely professional operation who did a quick, efficient and high quality job of my large new roof. I would recommend this company to anyone.

Schoenherr worked from dawn to dusk to complete the project in a very timely fashion. They came in $1090 under budget, having finished the whole job within one work day and three hours. They provided photos of the roof halfway through the project and at completion — I would have appreciated a few 'before' photos, too. They provided a group text so that everyone involved could communicate and stay looped in. My only other quibble is that the finance person always neglected to cc my wife on emails, even though the home-improvement loan is in her name. Finally, after wrapping up the project, Schoenherr put everything in both yards back in place and cleaned the site really well. Sometimes it's worth paying a little bit more for quality service and execution. Sometimes, it's not even that much more!

This was a terrible experience. Salesman did not show us any samples and so we chose color from brochure..... we now have the right shingle and wrong color. Salesman also insinuated we were LIARS and that he had shown us samples. He said that more than once. As God as my witness I do not lie. I cant believe the lack of integrity. I owned a business for 15 years dealing with executives of major corporations and hired as well as oversaw contractors complete their project deliverables. This was unacceptable business ethics from the beginning. We advised salesman we had a LeafFilter system on our gutters and asked if it should be removed prior to installation of roof. Salesman called Project Mgr who said "no, they'll be fine". The roofers cracked and totally destroyed the system. LeafFilter mgmnt came out and quoted that this 2 year old system was damaged beyond repair. Schoenherr owner didn't feel it was up to him to repair. The cost for this is $2600. Sad to say that all Schoenherr's advertisements explain how you will be treated like family, etc. It's all about money with them and I hope that any seniors on a fixed income like my husband and I will NOT be taken advantage of. He was in and out of hospital during all of this) . A very stressful situation for us. One note: Ross Schoenherr finally made the decision to give us $2600 to pay for LeafFilter. But for a very pricey roof we still have a color that looks terrible on the house. I do not recommend them. Also, we still keep finding nails on the driveway from piles of nails left on roof. So much for quality ! I have never had an experience that called for me to speak out like this.

From beginning to end they follow up on everything and make sure the job is done correctly to their and the supplier's specifications. I honestly cannot say anything bad about our experience. They are very professional, honest, and hard working.

Our sales representative was Dillion. He was extremely helpful and was always available to answer all our questions. Everyone from the company was very professional, hard working and knowledgeable. I would definitely recommend this company to others.

The roof looks great, and the additional venting has made a big difference inside the house. Very professional, protected my landscaping and did a great cleanup. I would highly recommend them.

Knowledgeable and thorough.

The installers were fast and for the most part good. However, they did significant damage to my cedar siding, rain gutters, and trim. This appeared mostly due to haste and lack of experience with my type of construction. The entire staff as well as the owner keep saying that 100% satisfaction is their goal and to let them know if I was not. After several calls I was able to get most of the damage repaired to my satisfaction. They did continue to work with me on this.

Whole experience was great from initial quote to cleanup ... done in one day... contact with office to installers was great... would recommend to anyone ð ð
