They recommended laying drain pipe out in to the lawn and placing a pop up. They did this on both sides of the back of the house. When it rains it drains across the top of my lawn right down to the beach where it washes out all my sand in to the lake. I have lost massive amounts of beach sand. When I contacted them their response was they don’t control Mother Nature when it rains hard. I told them it was a bad design and I need it fixed. NO RESPONSE!! I now need to hire someone else that knows what their doing. Very disappointing.

Charged for plans that I was not able to keep, when I decided not to go with them for the project. They work only off a fixed priced quote, giving me just one final number. They would not disclose cost of individual items or materials (ie framing, dry wall, painting), not even willing to disclose numbers that were considered "allowances" like heat or flooring. They would not use materials that I already owned, wanting me to buy new. I was very disappointed with how unwilling they were to work with me and stay within the discussed budget. I would not recommend them unless you don't want to make your own choices and you don't really care how much things cost.

Very responsive and professional but did have a bias to using local vendors even when what we wanted wasn't available locally. This caused some communication problems that we worked out. They go the extra mile for fine craft details , and put up with a diarrheal dog without complaint.

They did a great job and it was a great experience. They were able to take what we wanted and designed a room that we could not have imagined would work where they suggested. Kirk and Joy do a great job of listening to what you want and help you make it happen. They let you know how much everything will cost and make sure if you change something you are not surprised by the cost. I would recommend them for any remodeling job you are considering,

They started a day late and no one called, so we did not know they weren't going to be there. After that the communication improved. The job went as planned for the two weeks, and the painter finished right at the deadline. The room turned out perfect. At the end there was miscommunication regarding the final electrical inspection, which was inconvenient - but again, understandable. If you think you are going to remodel and have contractors, drywallers, electricians and painters in and out of your house without some confusion - you are wrong. One final note: We have way too many dogs - and a Bassett Hound that likes to "help". No one complained. If you have dogs... the Morris Builders folks are perfect for you.

Overall, it went quite smoothly with only a few hiccups. The estimation process was very detailed with Kirk Morris, the owner. He's very personable and concerned about integrity. The estimate documented exactly who was responsible for what. They weren't the cheapest nor the most expensive, but on the higher end price wise. Drywaller finished in 2 days (early) instead of the scheduled 5. Instead of being able to save time on the overall job, we had to wait another week or two to complete the job. I had to remind them at one point that the framing/drywalling was not completed per the drawing we agreed on. But they immediately took care of it. They did not plan for code requiring soffit over dryer venting, but completed it for no charge. They also charged an extra $300 which we didn't expect due to missed details defining the scope of the flooring package, they didn't take ownership for this oversight. Subcontractors were great workers. Estimation and scheduling were the only problems.

THEY WERE VERY RUDE. THEY DIDN'T FINISH THE JOB CORRECTLY SO WE COULDN'T GET PAINTING DONE AFTERWARDS. WE WEREN'T SATISFIED WITH THE END RESULT AND WE WERE CHARGED MORE THAN THE QUOTED PRICE ORIGINALLY GIVEN.
