BACKYARD BUILDERS

My experience was overall excellent.  Ed was accountable, reliable, and excellent to work with.  His pricing is very fair, and my shed was started and completed exactly when he said it would be.  I would recommend them to anyone looking for a shed.

We used Eddie (Backyard Builders) to build us a shed for our new home.  I had use him once before for a shed at my last home as well.  He came out, discussed the project, and gave me pricing.  It can sometimes take more time than I like but he gets so busy.  He built a nice 12x20 shed, pulled the permit, worked with me to fix any issues I saw, and I just love the shed.  His custom sheds are hands down much superior to any box store shed and unlike other custom shed companies he does all the site preperation as well and does not simply deliver a prebuilt shed and drop it on your lot.   Once started the process moved right along.  I would most definately use him again and may be using him to install our privacy fence in the spring as well.  Very very nice guy, easy to work with, and works very hard to make sure it is how you want it. 
The only reason I gave them a B in responsiveness was for the time to hear back at times.  I struggle with that B as I know he works hard and is busy.  Price was a bit higher than I expected after my last shed but it was also over double the size and more upgraded options.  Overall it was worth it though.  One of my neighbors walked by a lot as he built the shed and ended up using him as well as she was impressed with the shed.

From start to finish, I was very pleased.  Eddie came out and provided me with an estimate and we went over the exterior options (i.e. - siding color, shingle color, etc.)  Once that was finalized, I told him I would contact him in a couple of weeks to let him know when I was going to be ready for the project to begin.  I gave him the week I was hoping to get the project done.  He stated that the time I requested would work.  I also asked him to contact me to let me know the exact date he would be starting so I could have the work site ready and accessible as possible for him.  He called me the day before to let me know he would be dropping off materials at my house and would be beginning the following day.  That gave me enough time to clean off the existing concrete pad that the shed was going to be built on.  
He arrived the following day (Friday) and got right to work.  He had the shed mostly completed by the end of the day - just had to go and pick up some siding trim and a few minor finishing supplies and even returned the next day (Saturday) for a couple of hours to get the siding up and finish the project.  I was home while he was building it and he kept asking me if I was happy with it so far, which I was.  He cleaned up very well after finishing the project and was very careful of my landscaping and the new plants I had just put in around the base of the shed, which I also appreciate.  
Overall, I was very happy with Backyard Builders.  The price was reasonable, the work was done well, and I appreciate Eddie's consideration of my home and property and cleaning up afterwards.  You don't see that much anymore.  Thank you!

The builder met with me to go over my requirements.  He went to great pains to make sure the color of the siding and trim matched my house per my neighborhood association rules.  In fact, when the supplier gave him trim that was slightly off in color, he asked me if it was ok to use and I said 'yes'  But, he wasn't satisfied and made the effort to get trim that was exactly the right color.
He showed up on time and had no problem with the slight modifications I requested.  He even performed the work without asking for a down payment and only asked for payment when he knew I was completely satisfied.

The contractor replied promptly to my phone call and came to the house to talk about what we wanted and the specifics of the design and location.  We received a verbal quote which matched the published price list provided on the Backyard Builders.net web site.  Once we decided to go with the building, the contractor was at the house the next day, and the shed was finished within a couple of days.  Overall the building was very good, and the construction was professional and excellent quality.  We had a small concern regarding the placement of a window that in our opinion did not go well with the design.  The contractor was extremely supportive, and reworked the wall with the window AT NO CHARGE.  We were very pleased with Backyard Builders and would recommend them for your shed or outbuilding.

Eddie was so helpful - gave us ideas and photos of work he has done. He started within the week of giving us the estimate for the work. Nothing seemed to be too much trouble - He was happy to do some extra sanding on the deck when I asked. The work was finished on time and final bill came in at $100.00 under estimate.

They did a fabulous job. We had made some design suggestion and they followed it to the "t". They responded immediately (next day) to one problem we had with the step. I would definitely would use them again. They are very customer service oriented.
