We started with a different tile guy that was recommended to us, but after the first day of work on our kitchen backsplash, there were more inconsistencies than we could deal with. We really didn't know what to do, luckily we called Quality Tile and Dean rescued us! He has such a calm and patient demeanor, and is so incredibly knowledgeable, we felt comfortable right away turning the project over to him. He has incredible craftsmen on his team, we started over and the work they did on our up-to-the-ceiling glass tile backsplash was better than I could have imagined! They were all super nice, and treated our home with great care, going the extra distance in every way. If you are looking for a truly quality work-of-art result that you can't stop staring at and smiling, I can't recommend Quality Tile enough!

We were fortunate enough to have been able to work on this project where the clients had some definite plans of how they wanted their tile to be installed. They did their homework in advance and their design to go up to the ceiling and over the cabinets paid off big. This review is long overdue. These guys are amazing and did a wonderful job on a relatively complicated, detailed tile job that involved tiling an old fireplace surround in a really old, uneven house, with a mix of beveled glass tiles and crackled and jeweled tiles. (A previous tiler that came out to quote the job said he couldn't do the job without ruining all the tile.) They also worked with me to redesign the tile layout on the fly when the fireplace installer called and said he had installed the wrong fireplace door - after the tile installation had begun. Dean was so polite and good natured and just wonderful to deal with, as was Mike and Mike, who did the actual tiling. Every step of the way, if there was a judgment call, they consulted with me to make sure that I was completely satisfied. Everyone was very professional, very polite, very respectful of my home and my pets, and conscientious about not wasting materials. It's not often that you get to work with truly extraordinary service providers, but these guys were outstanding from start to finish. Their excellence really stands out. I actually can't wait to start my next tile project so that I can hire them again.

"It was our privilege to work with our client on this project. It was a challenging installation working with smoked glass tile and going over a rough brick fire place surround and using directional marble for the hearth. She had some definite ideas how she wanted every thing to look. However once the project started to unfold there were several options available as far as pattern direction on the hearth and the exact placement and pattern of feature tiles. She was very artistic and after reviewing all the options she had us move ahead with the installation. The installation was well underway when the call came in from the fireplace door installer indicating he had mistakenly installed the wrong door. Once the new door was installed the dimensions were quite different so our client working with the installers came up with a new revised game plan. She purchased more tile and we were able to incorporate it into her original pattern. She was decisive and quite knowledgeable and as a result the project came together beautifully and an old outdated fire place was transformed into a work of art. It's great working with such nice clients doing what we love to do. Looking forward to our next project together. This was the second time I've had Quality Tile do work in my condo (they had done new bathroom floors for me last year). This year's project went just as well as the last one. Dean Skewes, the owner, got back to me quickly, had a quote for me the following day, and had a team out to begin work soon thereafter. The team of workers (Bill, Neil, Mike Jr, Mike K and Andy) is fantastic. They are meticulous craftsmen who take great pride in their work. They are dependable and organized -- always arrived when they said they would, kept their tools and materials neat and organized, and cleaned up after they finished the job. On top of all that, they are very nice people. Highly recommend this company.

Dean and Tome were great, they came prepared and even made suggestions to make sure the job was done without any hiccups. They kept use apprised of the timing of the tile delivery and offered solutions to problems that we might have had (if they had not addressed these issues in advance). The results are great and we couldn't be happier. Just a note: This company was not the least expensive. However, with the way that they came prepared for the quote and with the suggestions they made, we felt that the quality of the installation would be worth the price - we don't plan on having the change this ever again. Our trust in their professionalism was justified.

I couldn't be happier. Dean came out within days and gave me a quote. His guys were out the next week and got it done in 2 days. I had a brand new Quartz counter top that I asked them to be careful with and they were: several layers of tarps and taped up throughout. The work they did was spectacular - it was just what we were looking for. It can be hard to find a quality contractor, but these guys are true to their name. Dean and his guys are real pros. I highly recommend them.

It went extremely well and I couldn’t be happier. I found Quality Tile, Inc. on Angie’s List and his reviews speak for themselves. Dean came to my home and we spent almost 2 hours discussing the project. He was very thorough and detailed, taking many notes and all the necessary measurements. Of special concern to me was eliminating several high spots in the kitchen sub-floor and how the new floor would transition to other rooms with wood floors. He explained the options and even inspected the floor joists from the basement to help pinpoint the problem. Dean provided his quote on time, based upon my specifications and tile selection. Although his price was higher than another experienced tile company, I could clearly see by his process that I was going to get the results I wanted. Both projects started and finished on time. The crew was on time each day without exception. They worked carefully and efficiently, keeping the work area protected, orderly and clean. At the end of each day, the work area and their tile cutting area were cleaned up and organized for the next day. Throughout the projects, Dean stayed in contact with me, by phone or dropping by, to ensure that things were progressing to my satisfaction. The results were excellent. The kitchen floor is now flat and the transition to the wood floors is exactly what Dean projected. Very early in kitchen project, Dean and his two most experienced installers were down on the floor examining the sub-floor and discussing the various tile backer options. While watching this and then the laying of the tile, I could see how much of a challenge this really was. Also, the design in the foyer floor came out perfect; a small border with 12 inch field tiles installed on an angle. Dean and his crew surpassed my expectations. You won’t go wrong picking Dean and Quality Tile Inc.

Gene came out and measured, explained how it would be done and offered suggestions for installation. He called me within a couple of days with a quote and we agreed for him to do the job. His price wasn't the lowest, but I liked what he had to say and boy, am I glad we chose him!! The installers showed up on time every day and were the absolute best guys to work with. They were polite, courteous and hard working. They were extremely neat and professional and very meticulous. I am a very picky customer and I couldn't be more pleased with the work that they did and would recommend them to anyone who wants the job well. We have reviewed rave reviews from everyone who has come in and seen their work.

Quite a long wait for the tile to arrive from distributor, but dean, bill and mark did a great install. All were prompt polite and professional, very thorough and meticulous. great cuts on tiles. Finished product looks great!

Dean was very prompt and knowledgeable during our initial phone conversation, even offering to walk my husband and I though the tile replacement process rather than hiring someone given the limited replacement needed. Due to our lack of experience and desire to have the job done right we opted to schedule with Dean for a few weeks later.
Those 2.5 weeks go by and on the day scheduled, no service provider showed up. After leaving a message, Dean was quick to call and apologize profusely. He was determined to make it right and sent his team out the next day with a call when they were dispatched, another apology and a discounted rate. The team was professional and did a great job. They made a point also to apologize and say missed appointments are not something that happens with this company.
We appreciate the excellent tile work and despite the initial scheduling concern, Dean was honest and addressed the mistake promptly. We would definitely recommend Quality Tile to others.

Everything was flawless from beginning to end. Dean Skewes, the owner, arrived promptly for the estimate, and then arrived on schedule for the work dates as well. He has a crew of very nice and very capable workers who did a great job and cleaned up every speck upon completion. I am very happy with the finished work and will be hiring them again in the not-too-distant future to redo an aging shower stall.

The new shower is great. I love it. I have a glass block window in there and Quality tile added a marble window sill. The tile work around the window is nice too. I live in a very old house with many imperfections, but Quality tile made it work. Considering the amount of work involved with old houses, the price was fair. Very professional and friendly. I will hire them in the future if I need tile work done.

Dean came out and gave us a very fair estimate on tiling a bathroom. The crew came out and removed the old vinyl tile and plywood, and put down duroc, and new tile. The next day a man came out and grouted the tile and I will tell you, they did a great job. Professional from start to finish, quality materials and quality workmen. Very easy going and made the job very easy to life with. Cleaned up after themselves and aquitted themselves as professionals and there sense of humor stood out. Easy to talk to, and ask questions of, I will recommend this company to do work to both friends and family alike. Great experience.

It went very well. Dean the owner is a very nice man. I can't recall having GREAT service like this. I called Friday morning he quoted the job discussed all the details and was installing my project Monday morning. This was impressive because time was so important to me his pricing was just as fair. The tile installation is beautiful. Dean was very considerate of my home and keeping things clean. This is a company I would use again. Very, Very Happy with Quality Tile.

The floor of my shower has little mountain ranges of calcium buildup, and the grout is missing in some areas where the walls meet the floor. Without knowing the exact problem, Dean quickly responded to my Angie's List inquiry by email and agreed to come look at it. When we finally spoke, I explained the situation, and he told me what it was -- efflorescence -- and how to fix it myself with a simple $6 tool and some fresh grout. While his company did not do the work, I believe he performed a valuable service, and so I am indicating that services were, indeed, performed.

These guys did an awesome job. From my first phone call with Dean (the owner) to my last phone call with Dean when he called to follow-up and make sure that I was happy with the job and to inquire if there was anything else he could do or any questions he could answer. All of the guys that came out to work on the bathroom were friendly and very conscious of tracking dirt through the house. They even made sure to watch that the cat didn't get out. Dean returned my phone calls and e-mails promptly and was very understanding when I ran into a problem scheduling the plumber and had to move the tile installation back a week. I never felt that I was inconveniencing him. The tile came out beautifully.
