Northern Brick

I have 20 year old paver patios and sidewalks that needed some significant repairs. Owner Dave and his crew are very knowledgeable and did a terrific job. Workmanship was excellent and communication was as well. Pricing was very reasonable. There are a lot of new paver installers, but if you need brick paver repair, this is your contractor. Highly recommend Northern Brick!!

They arrived when they told me they would and got right to work. The bricks were removed and reset and raised. The steps were removed ad reglued so they are safer. They were very efficient and completed the job quickly and it looks great.

Excellent work at a fair price. Dave and his staff were polite, dependable and very easy to work with. He was very flexible with several last minute requests and always seemed to have our best interests in mind with his suggested changes; he clearly knows his stuff. He returned phone calls promptly and accommodated our schedule. Our patio looks better today than it did the day it was installed!! Highly recommend Northern Brick!

Dave responded quickly and gave us an estimate and some good suggestions. We had him do some previous work and liked his work. He dug down a foot and filled it with crushed limestone and then laid the pavers on sand and put cement around the edges. Excellent job !!

The work looks great. Dave was easy to work with and I am very happy with the results.

Less than 12 hours after I contacted the contractor that referred me to Northern Brick, Dave called me first thing in the morning to make arrangements to stop at my house on his way to another job. I had only one spare paver, but Dave found one in my patio under a flower pot that was a closer color match to the broken one, so he put the spare in the patio, replaced the broken one, and reset a couple nearby pavers. All work was done within about 10 minutes for no charge; he only asked that I give him a call next spring if I decide to do some additional repairs. Very professional and knowledgeable.

It went excellent. Dave and his crew showed up on time. They immediately went to work and worked steadily for four full hours. Each knew and understood their respective roles and helped eachother when needed. Dave is very skilled and knowledgeable in assessing how to repair porches and steps. He asked me to review each area they had worked on to make sure I was satisfied with the outcome. The quality of work is excellent. Dave is a hands on owner. He doesn't just quote the job. He is on site the entire time leading the work flow and doing the more challenging work himself. The guys cleaned up everything thoroughly. Pricing is very fair. Dave Carter (the owner of Northern Brick) was very prompt with communications right from the start. He came out for a quote, showed many photographs of his beautiful work, and later brought over brick samples. Dave patiently answered my many questions. He explained the importance of using limestone as the sub-base for the patio. Dave is impressively knowledgeable and meticulous. Our new patio looks beautiful and we trust it will last!
Dave and his assistant were very professional, and so nice to my three year old who wanted to and quot;helpand quot;. Dave kept us informed of his progress, and cleaned up entirely at the end of each workday.
Dave went above and beyond with our project. We were surprised when they found a second concrete slab under the first. They removed and hauled both away. Dave dug down extra to bury our electrical conduit two feet below the patio. He kindly agreed to use the additional soil to level out some low spots around our house. After the patio was complete, Dave brought more soil up to meet it and put down grass seed. We are very happy!

I've had my paver porch and walkway for 23 years and they were badly in need of repair. I contacted Northern Brick and Dave came to my home to give me a quote. Since I was at work, he called when he arrived and thoroughly explained what needed to be done and left me a quote. He sounded very honest and knowledgeable,so I hired him without even meeting him. I am so glad I did!! My porch and walkway look AWESOME!! Better than they did when first installed. He and his crew are very pleasant,professional,meticulous and knowledgeable. At the end of the day, all tools and materials were put away and the area was immaculate. They took great care around all the landscaping. I was not able to be home during the construction,so Dave called daily to report his progress and plans for the following day. I also like the fact that he answered his phone when I called. The one time I had to leave a message, he returned my call in minutes. My repair took 3 days and Dave did not ask for payment until the job was complete. It was a pleasure to do business with Dave and I would hire him again!

Good! He called when he said he was going to call, he showed up when he was supposed to. He was nice. His prices are fair.

All the work was done in a professional manner with careful attention to detail with no skimping or shortcuts. David listened carefully and offered constructive suggestions to what I wanted done and to my concerns. He and his crew were punctual, communicated their status well, and operated in a clean manner respectful of their surroundings. We are pleased with their work and would hire them again.

We selected Dave to build our new brick patio because he had done an excellent job three years ago repairing our existing brick patio and walkways. They still look like new. The new patio was in a challenging location with complex drainage. Dave made some excellent suggestions and the new area drains perfectly.



He also contributed to the overall design concept and helped select the brick. Northern Brick LLC is a small company but executes like a big one. The work was flawless and timely. He kept us informed at every step. He has done work for our neighbors and they are all very satisfied. When you use Dave, you understand why you can't scrimp on the foundation and expect your brick work to hold up over time. He is so knowledgeable he should have his own reality TV show on one of the home improvement channels.

Reconstructed the front porch. Recommended new design to eliminate the separation. New design is great.
Repaired the steps to the patio.
Repaired the brick walkway.
Dave is very professional and I would recommend him and we plan to use him in the future.

We had some pavers installed about 7 years ago and noticed some were raising above the walk and others were coming loose. We called Northern Brick for a quote to do these repairs. Dave promptly responded to my request. Of the 3 businesses I called he was the only one to respond. I suspect that the job was to small for the others to be bothered. However Dave did provide a quote and a start date. He then called me back later and again confirmed the date he would start. That date was met and the job completed on time and within budget. The quality of the work was excellent. Dave always made sure I knew where he was in the process of completing the work.
I would highly recommend this company particularly for the small jobs that some of the larger companires don;t want. Their demeanor and professionalism make it a pleasure to do business with them

This past summer I solicited quotes to contract paver repair on my back paver patio, the sides of my front driveway and walkway, as well as repair a paver step. I contacted 6 different paver companies to quote the job. Northern Brick was the only company that came out the day they promised. Dave Carter met with me and while here for the initial consult, he provided a very good explanation of the job that needed to be done and the process in which he would complete it. He left the quote with me that evening and surprisingly was the only company that followed up on their quote to me. He was also the only contractor who seemed honest and would stand by their work. A very good first impression.

Dave requested no money down or payment until the job was complete. That also gave me piece of mind knowing that until things were fixed to my specification, that I wouldn't be required to make payment.

My repair took about 2.5 days. In those two days the team from Northern Brick was very friendly and respectful of my family and our property. Each night when they left, they left everything immaculate. Upon returning each morning they also quietly got to work. One morning I didn't even know they had started it was so quiet!

We have been very impressed with Dave Carter and his team from Northern Brick. Our pavers look awesome now and they even solved some drainage issues because of their passion to get it done right.
