To start Laura provided a consultation. She came out to the house and assessed the current master bed and bath as well as other areas of the house ie. Living and family rooms and kitchen and dining area. She was prompt at the consult and provided a beautiful layout and design for master suite. She picked out very nice finishes some being way out of our budget. She also talked us into a beautiful fire feature that was installed on the tub deck of our new jetted tub but never gave us the glass surround piece needed to make it safe to turn on. After contacting her several times we still have not received it and cannot use the expensive fire feature which now is basically a round hole in our tub deck with a loosely fitting metal lid over it. After attempting to contact Laura multiple times with no answer I finally called from another number and when she picked up and I told her who it was and what I wanted she told me she had our glass piece but it was in storage from moving and she would get back to me to deliver it. Still haven't heard back from her.
With the rest of the house she invoiced us 100 an hour for searching Internet shops like pottery barn and instructed I do the same. So I basically did the work and picked out my own items and ordered them from the websites without her help. She did come out to install our drapes in the living room and family room. She removed the old hardware and put up the new hardware and left all the holes in the walls. The rods for the drapes were placed uneven and though she said she would steam the drapes she forgot her steamer and was supposed to come back to do it and never returned. Yet another invoice arrived followed by a call from her explaining that she should get paid because she did the work.
3eThere are so many issues with this whole experience I cant go through them all. These are just the biggest issues. That being said it has been a couple of yrs and perhaps Lauras level of professionalism has improved. I just dont want others to have the same experience we did.
