We moved from NYC to Detroit in the spring of 2012 not knowing anyone here. The foreclosed house we bought was truly a handyman's special except we aren't handymen. The house needed a huge amount of work - everything from new plumbing, electric, gutters, drywalling, floors, ceilings, windows, doors, structural repairs, insulation, you name it, we had to fix it. We spent over a year bringing the house back to and quot;move-inand quot; ready. During that time, we hired a couple dozen contractors. And, for major projects like putting in a new heating system, we typically interviewed many contractors before making a selection. For the new heating system we had interviewed around a dozen contractors many of whom were clearly trying to take advantage of us. We sought out referrals from neighbors and other contractors over a period of several months but couldn't find anyone we had confidence in and came in with a reasonable price. Since we were not able to find the right contractor for a long time, we turned to Angie's list which is where we found Global Energy Systems. Reinhard, the owner, came out and gave us an estimate for installing a new boiler in our 1919 built home that was much more reasonable than some of other estimates we had had before him. In fact, his quote was about half the price of the most expensive quote we were given but in line with a couple other quotes we got. He was extremely knowledgeable, helpful and professional. The job was completed on time, and we liked it so much that we gave him several more smaller jobs to do for us. Everything was done professionally and on time and on budget, and we would recommend Reinhard to everybody! Not only he is superb at what he does, but he is also a really nice guy to work with. We feel like we found a real gem with Reinhard; he is truly caring and very reliable. In summary, we couldn't be happier with Reinhard and the work he did for us. If only all contractors had the same amount of pride and expertise in the work they do, contractors would have a great reputation.

We signed up on Angie's list for a contractor recommendation for AC unit repair. We selected Global Energy Systems, LLC, and were extremely satisfied with their response and work. After we made our appointment, they called back and confirmed it, established an arrival time, and were on site at the appointed hour. They did a complete inspection and some minor maintenance/repair and our AC unit was at 100%. Even came back about a week later to make sure everything was still okay. We are now on schedule for Fall maintenance on the furnace. They were very professional, pleasant and proficient. Cost: less than expected and unit running trouble free. We have a new contractor we trust.

Global Energy Systems has been servicing our heating and Cooling systems since we moved into our new home in 1997. They have been available each of the four times we have need service, two of which were my fault. I would recommend them to anyone.
