First of all, I had a laundry list of repairs that I wanted Dave to repair and he came by to look at the list/jobs. Dave told me he could do them all. However, after 4 hours of work on the first day, I realized my little odds and end jobs would costs me thousands with him. Hence, I only gave him the 4 jobs I needed done the most, because I was desperate. For $80 an hour, I realized he was milking the job. Dave did a nice job caulking my bathroom around the backsplash and baseboards (didn't even have to do the tub) and that's about it. The other jobs, horrible! He didn't clean up even after he sanded the drywall. Who does that? The icing on the cake was when he had to put 3 skim coats of drywall mud on my basement wall with 3 separate trips so it could dry. He told me he wasn't going to charge me for the little 5-10 mins trips, because I had already paid him close to $1,000 for those 4 little jobs and low and behold when it was all said and done, the three trips out to my house 5-10 mins cost me an additional $150. I asked Dave.....I thought you weren't going to charge me? He had no response. Then I said, this is sheer highway robbery. I did the right thing and paid him his $150 for not even 30 mins of work. Remind you, his hourly rate from the get go was $80 so you do the math how 30 mins became $150 plus the fact he wasn't going to charge me at all for the last skim coats. Shame on you Dave for taking advantage of a women! Lastly, if you hire him, never once was he on time and he cancelled the appointments twice. Make sure you ask if he's licensed and insured and you see the certificate as well. I sure should have and read his reviews on Google, that will sum his work ethic up. I should have charged him my hourly rate for his tardiness and cancellations. I have one word KARMA.

Dave gave me an estimate that beat the other contractors, so I hired him. Dave came at the agreed upon time and got right to work fixing four cracks in my ceiling and two cracks on my walls. He made sure the cracks would not come back again by making sure the structure behind the drywall was solid and secure. He even ventured into my very dirty and dusty attic to hurry the job along. It took five visits from Dave over a five day period to finish the job, which was of a superior quality. I was very, very pleased with his work. I need to also mention that Dave is one of the nicest people I have ever met. Not only was he a total professional with his punctuality and his work habits, he always had a smile on his face and nothing ever bothered him -- even when he realized he needed to get into the attic. Simply put, Dave is the best handyman contractor I've ever hired. He also does plumbing and electrical which I will take advantage of whenever the need arrives. If you have the opportunity to hire a handyman, DO NOT HESITATE calling Dave. You will be incredibly glad you did. I was!

The wrong screws were used. They stick out and are the wrong color. Installation cost me $50. I thought I'd get twice as much work for that amount of money.

We purchased a Delta stainless steel faucet and Badger 1/2 hp disposer at Home Depot on sale ... We contacted Dave and got on his schedule ... he was prompt, efficient, cleaned up ... All Good ... We are really glad to have taken on this project and can't say enough good things about how Dave helped us get it done in time for the Holidays ... Many Cudos !
Description of Work: Dave took care of over a dozen miscellaneous small repair items at my new home in Rochester Hills A few weeks later, he installed a new sump pump at my former home, which was vacant at the time. All work was performed to my satisfaction. However, the latter repair was a bit more expensive than I had expected [approx. $450] due to a part that broke during the installation and Dave's need to go back to Lowes or Home Depot to purchase the part and that he went back to my former home a day or two later to check and make sure things were working properly (at least this was his explanation).

Dave is a very detail oriented person and is the 1st point out a flaw (that I didn't even notice). The job not only removing everything, but re-plumbing, drywall install, paint, tiling, all don't with an eye to detail and my bathroom now is amazing. I have superb confidence in anything that Dave does as he would point out issues that I was not aware of, show me the "bad situation" and then show me how it is supposed to be done. He is not a CONTRACTOR so he does all the work himself or with 1 other individual. I will use Dave again to finish my powder room, kitchen, etc.
Description of Work: I had a major leak in my 2nd story main bathroom - and water was gushing through the floor to my office below. Extensive damage. I called around and nobody could come out and start work quickly (and this is the only bathroom in the home with a shower!). I called Dave and not only did they come out at night to review the situation, they started work within 2 days! They had to take my bathroom down to the studs, remove the tub, tile, floor, toilet, vanity, remove the ceiling in my office - and then rebuild it all.
