Started in the early 1960's by Nestor "Cap" Capogna, Cap's TV Service has served the greater Rochester area for over 40 years. Upon Cap's retirement in 1993, ownership was transferred to his long time employee, Alan Harriman, who still owns and operates the business to this day. As television technology continues to make great advances, our commitment to providing the best possible service, in a friendly, efficient, and courteous manner is as important today as the day Cap's TV Service opened.

I've used him a couple of times. I had broken my leg over the winter and he came out. I didn't even have to bring it in. He just said he'd pick it up for me and bring it back. He's absolutely so professional, just the way he handled things over the phone. It's probably the best TV service you can ever imagine. He also has a really good price, very fair. That's one service I would say is top-notch.

I called around 10 am, Alan arrived about 2:30 pm. He carefully looked it over, then asked me some questions. It turned out that the bulb contacts were loose and just needed to be tightened. Since he was already here, I had him hook up the blu-ray I have had sitting around forever but didn't know how to hook up. He told me to keep an eye on the tv and call him if I had any more trouble. My tv works great now, I didn't have to buy another one, plus I got my DVD player hooked up for less than $100!!! I am very happy with his service, felt comfortable having him in my home, and would use him again if I needed help.

I can't begin to tell you how impressed I was with Cap's!! He returned my call asap and continued to communicate with me on every detail - parts that were ordered, time of delivery of parts, called me 2 hours prior to arrival, 1 hour prior to arrival, 5 minutes before arrival. No hidden costs - no games - just actual reliable, punctual and responsible service!! WIll never use another company again!!

Came out to our house and picked up the parts to be repaired/replaced and brought them back and installed within 10 days. Wife thought they were professional and explained things well. Would definitely call them again before buying a new TV if our breaks again.

It took him about a week to tell me that it was the DMD board. He said he had one in his shop, and could use that way cheaper than a new one. That took another week to determine that one was not working properly. So, he said he could get a refurbished one from a supplier cheaper than a new one. I went with that recommendation. that took another week before he called me to say it was done and he could deliver it. All in all about 3 1/2 weeks from drop off to deliver. He seems honest and fair. i did have to call him to get updates and I wished he would of called me to keep me informed When I dropped it off, he said he would get to it that day or the next. I had to call him a week later to see what was going on.. It cost me $225 total to get the DMD board and his labor and delivery back to me. I felt the time was probably at least a week and half longer than it should be. He did try several things and that took time. My advice would be to ask him how long it will take and nail him down on that time as much as possible. i would use him again because I feel he is honest but I would follow my own advice next time.

He came right away. It took him a few weeks to locate the part and get it and put it. He came when he said he would come and did the work. I appreciate people like that. I like people who come and do the job professionally. I like that. He seems to know how to diagnose things right away. I think he is hardworking. It took him a while to locate the part, but he was determined to find it. Once the part came in, he was here within a day to put it in. He was very responsive.

The owner came out to my home and within 10 minutes gave me a detailed description of what was wrong. He was professional, pleasant, and very detailed with his analysis. He even looked up the age of the TV and gave me a list of good TVs on the market since this one cost more to repair than to replace.. Would call him again!

Al was very responsive from the first phone call to the date of service. He came to the house on the day that we discussed, fixed the tv and put everything back together again within an hour. We were extremely pleased, not only with the quality of the service performed, but with the price and his punctuality.

I called several places to get an estimate of the cost to replace the color wheel on the TV. Cap's TV had been highly rated on your site. I called them and they had the best estimate. The man I spoke with was very nice. They did not have the part in stock. It took longer than expected to get it. I think we waited 2 weeks. It was well worth the wait due to the savings. As soon ask they got the part they called and came out the next day to install it. The only way I think they could improve is with keeping the customer informed as to the progress in getting the part. I had to call them on several occasions to find out what was going on. They were always very friendly and courteous.
