Terrible. Actually, horrible. We spent well over $10k with this company on doors and have been treated like an enemy. I was told by, I believe Sue is her name, that I had to do my own research on getting the parts needed to repair my doors because she was too busy. Are you kidding me! I have told everyone I know about the horrible customer service from this company. Word of mouth goes a long way. I stopped into their store many times to follow up on my requests, only to be blown off. I will never do business with them again and I hope whomever is reading this, doesn’t either. ...you will be sorry. It’s easy to sell someone something, but it’s what happens after the sale that matters.

Poor customer service. They do not call back and will not take responsibility Always making excuses. Had frost on inside of door in winter.

Windows took over 3 months to arrive. Each deadline given to us would pass without a single phone call or update. We always had to call them. Installation took longer than quoted. Installer made numerous mistakes and damaged multiple areas of our home. ADS repaired what they could. Installer was careless and workmanship was very poor. The windows w/ trim assembled at the factory look great. However the trim assembled on site by the installer are not up to par. There are misplaced, bulging nail holes (which took them over 4 months to return to fill), gaps in the floor of the doorwall (which they repaired, after a lengthy wait d/t inability to get the "right piece" from the manufacturer. Prior to repair, the installer offered to fill it with caulk. See pic below), many of the corners were not aligned or even touching for that matter, and 4 of the windows did not lock. The installer made an enormous mess at our house. He left tools and materials strewn about, ladders propped against the house at the end of the day (easy access for our curious toddlers), didn't use a single drop cloth, left his open, half eaten lunch in our garage for days, and even cut himself during the install process and left bloody smudges on 1 of the windows. The company does not return phone calls. When we explained our concerns, they did not accept ownership and made every excuse they could think of as to why things weren't their fault. They did attempt to fix some things. Each repeat trip resulted in more damage to our home, including rust stains on my baby's bedroom carpet. When we complained further when things were not progressing, the owner got very angry and went out of his way to yell at me, berate me, and personally attack me on the phone for 10-15 minutes straight, after which point he terminated our business/customer relationship, stating I could take up any further concerns with the window manufacturer directly.

The owner, John was a very knowledgeable and low-pressure.  He provided a lot of insight.  We also liked that American Door Systems has an actual showroom to see, touch and operate the windows and doors.  We signed the deal in May and the job was started and completed in July.  The installation crew was on time and very professional. 
One thing I should point out is there was a discrepancy between the Sunrise Window sample we saw in the showroom and the actual windows that were installed in our house.  The particular window we picked has a sandstone color vinyl exterior and a vinyl interior with a faux wood grain.  The faux wood grain on the showroom sample was on the inside of the window frame AND the window jamb/edge as well.
When the new windows arrived I was surprised that the jamb edges did NOT have the wood grain.  They were pure white vinyl.  With the window closed the interior showed the wood grain as expected.  But with the windows open, the edges are all white.  This probably wouldn't have changed our decision to buy the Sunrise Window but I told John he should change the showroom sample because it's misleading to customers.  (I'm not sure if I'm explaining this clearly but just make sure to open the vinyl window in the showroom to see if it has any white vinyl...you'll understand what I'm talking about when you see it.)
One of the windows was the wrong style so it was reordered.  We waited several months for the correct window to be installed.  It would have happened sooner except for an internal miscommunication at American Door. 
The installation crew also forgot to caulk the top of one of the windows but they took care of it.
We've had the windows for 8 months and haven't had any trouble with them.  I hope they last--although they have a lifetime warranty.  I'll post updates as the months and years go by.

They were great to work with from start to finish.  Not pushy during the sales process but very informative and honest about the products they offered.  The door took about 4-6 weeks to come in and they installed everything perfectly.

They were really slow on our orders. They will never call you back and the order takes longer than expected.

John and his team were extremely professional and easy to work with.  The windows appear to be of high quality and the installation process was fairly smooth.  Any issues that we brought up were handled immediately and without hassle.  The windows are significantly quieter and easier to use than the old ones (although that really isn't saying much as the old windows by AVON were awful).

The only reason I gave them a B on quality was that they ran out of spray foam insulation and decided it was ok to just start using fiberglass.  I asked them to correct and they did.

I would not hesitate to recommend American Door Systems.

I desperately needed a new door. The showroom sales staff were not pushy nor did they try and sell me something I really did not want. They directed me to the perfect door for my garage. They came out and measured and we set an install date. The very day they were due to come, the spring broke with my car stuck inside. They sent someone out early to lift the door so I could get to work. Then the crew came and went before I got home from work. The cleanup was excellent. My garage door has been working perfectly ever since. I applaud the whole team effort. In fact, my sliding glass door seal had broken and I asked about the cost of that, and they recommended that if the frame was still good, to just have the glass replaced/resealed, instead of trying sell me a new slider. Wonderful experience.

I agree with much of what was said in earlier reviews with a few exceptions.  Went to the showroom to price out a garage side entry door.  The owner, John, was friendly, knowledgeable and helpful.  Based on reviews, we opted to go with American Door Systems.  Mike came out to measure the door and frame.  He too, was friendly and professional.   I was told the door would be ready for installation in two weeks.   The time arrived and the installers came by to install the door.  I was told that the door manufacturer sent the wrong size door and it would have to be reordered.  A few days later, I was told the correct size door was in and again we scheduled a time for installation.  I had to call on installation day to find out when they would be coming.  The receptionist mentioned that they were to be at my home after noon.    When i asked if she could tell me how much after noon, she only reiterated after noon and that I was the second job.   The installers - Russ and Christian - did a great job.  They were professional, cleaned up the work area and took away the old door.  Mike was going to come by within the hour to key the lock and he did.  Again, all three are very professional.   Aside from the mix up and delay and curt receptionist, I was satisfied with the finished product. 
There was an  issue with the final  bill.  I was originally quoted  $632.74 for the door, lock and installation.   I put down a $200 deposit; the remaining $432.74 balance to be paid after installation.  All of this is reflected on the Sales Order.  After Russ and Christian finished the installation, I was given a receipt stating that $523.74 was due.  I pointed this out to Mike when he arrived to key the lock.  He examined both the Sales Order and Job Work Order - which were identical as to terms and services  - and adjusted the Work Order to reflect a $432.74 balance.  We agreed he would call me when he returned to the office.  He called and I gave him the credit card information to submit and I thought our business was concluded.
 A few minutes later I received another call from Mike.  He stated the $523.74 balance was correct because  a larger flashing was needed  and additional  paint had to be used.  I agreed to the added $100 payment even though this additional charge was never communicated to me at any time before the last call or reflected in any of the paperwork I received.   

Everything went well they delivered installed and cleaned up including haul away of the old material.  Very Professional.

We ordered sliders on the mini blinds between the glass. We were not told that that wasn't possible because it was an 8 foot doorwall. Instead we received ropes to control the blinds. We would never have ordered these if John had told us we couldn't have the sliders.
Why does he ignore my phone calls? I would never order from them again. Very inconsiderate. I would have ordered a more expensive doorwall to get what I wanted.

Company was all around awesome. We got 3 estimate quotes and American Door was the least expensive by almost half. I actually was concerned that the quote was way to low. Called John at American Door and requested he come out to the house to take actual measurements and look at all work that would have to be done and give us another estimate. This time it was slightly higher than the first time, but still way below all other estimates. Their products were perfect and I had a wide selection, got just what I wanted. When the doors arrived at American Door my installation was scheduled 5 days later. About 4 weeks between signing the contract and installation. Paul was the installer and he did a wonderful job. We are totally happy with the doors and the installation, all done in one day.

The two workers showed up on time, were polite, and answered any questions I had.
The installation went well -- I'm happy with the quality of the door and everything with the installation.
They made sure that the worksite was clean before leaving too!
I've had the company install two other doors in the past -- I've never had any problems with those doors either.

Prompt, professional, and courteous. Able to come fix the problem in time to release my vehicle from the garage so I could make it to an important appointment.
