The call center staff were very nice and the Handyman was punctual. He was however short with me and not very personable. I would not like that particular handyman to service my home ever again. It was clear that he did not really want to do the work. The work was completed but I was a little insulted about the way the workman spoke to me.

He is very creative and adaptable to anything you need done. Hes a great painter as well. He doesnt waste any time.

The painter was courteous, professional and dedicated to doing the job right. After the ceiling paint dried, you could still see some of the patch work underneath. We called Mr. Handyman and they insisted on sending the painter back immediately. Tom said, "I don't care if it's no big deal. We want it done right. I don't care if we have to repaint the entire ceiling!" He absolutely insisted on 100% satisfaction, which I really appreciated.
I will use Mr. Handyman again and recommend the company to others.

They did good work; however, the owner has changed now.

David arrived early (after calling first) and got right to work on the fan/lighting unit, which works and looks great.  He advised me thoroughly on pros and cons of going forward with drywall repair before roof patch was 'tested' by rain, but I decided to go ahead.  He ran out for some drywall which cost me hardly anything.  All efficiently and without chit-chat, which I highly value as I work at home.  I was so surprised at all he got done in four hours.  With the Angie's List coupon, I feel like I got a steal of a deal.

Jock and Erik came for two 8-hour days and Erik for one 8 1/2-hour-day.  They were on time,
efficient, worked carefully, neatly, diligently and did a terrific job with everything.   We were
extremely happy with their work, professionalism and attitude.  I would use Mr. Handman again any time and highly recommend them!   Following some additional carpet installation and general cleaning on our part, the condo was ready for sale and we had three offers in 48 hours!   From start of work to closing - less than 8 weeks.  Not bad!
Suggestions:  - Know what you want done, find out what supplies or items you need to buy first so their work is not interrupted and be available to run to the store for something if necessary so they can keep going.  They will go to the store for you, but it's more cost effective to have things ready if at all possible. 

the company was able to do the work I needed the day I called. I was so pleased! Jack was there right on time, performed the job quickly, professionally, pleasant and cheerful. He offered to clean up but I told him I had to vacuum anyway, so don't bother. I will definately use this company again.

Mr. Handyman was great and I would highly recommend them.  Everybody I dealt with at Mr. Handyman was very professional.  They arrived on the job when they said they would.  Completed the work as promised.  Did high quality work.  They made excellent recommendations.  Keith, the handyman that worked my job, was just great to work with and he really knew what he was doing.Thanks Mr. Handyman for making a lot of tough work look easy.

.He was a waste of my $100.00. He is as bad as they come. He charged me $100.00 just to look at my broken attic stairs. He told me this was going to cost thousands of dollars to fix. He was not knowledgable.

Well, as time passed we noticed the ceiling under the room became damaged. Over time it seemed to be getting worse, though it was so slow you couldn't really tell. Ultimately, we called the roofing company back to look at the roof and determine if there was a leak. In fact, if there were multiple leaks. We hired a different (cheaper and smarter) contractor to remove the deck boards. What he discovered is that when Mr. Handyman's contractor put the boards back up in 2005, many of the nails were longer than the boards were thick, so they went right through the roof. AND, they caulked the boards together (??!!).  This just compounded the water problem. So now we have to replace the roof again, after his company destroyed it the same week it was installed.  We also have to repair the ceiling inside.  We will never use Mr. Handyman again, and we will discourage anyone we know from using them. When I called them, they insisted it was my "opinion," because so much time has passed.

I understand the long time gap and why they would't be expected to compensate us monetarily in some way. But after all the business we did with them (the owner and my husband were on a first-name basis), I would at least expect the respect and courtesy for them to acknowledge that something didn't go right before stating it was our "opinion."

BTW, they charged us $3,000 for the pleasure of having our roof destroyed and being called a liar. That doesn't even count the cost of the first and second rooms, or the cost of plaster repair.

Stay away from them.

His price was too high for me.  I waited and waited and he said he left a message but I didn’t get it.  I will probably find someone else for the future.

The man was very nice. He was very prompt, professional, and efficient.  However, I found the labor price was too high.  I don't think I will call them again because of the cost.

The workman, Erik, was professional and did an excellent job.

I would never use this contractor. I explained my problem with rotting wood from water damage and they won't even come out and give you an extimate.

I chose them for the work since I needed some additional support around my home because of a family member. I would recommend their service. The price was fine. The handyman who came out was very good, pleasant, helpful and right on time too.

Smooth sailing from start to finish. The workman (Andy) came to my home on a Tuesday morning (8am sharp) to clean the gutters and power-wash the deck, and then returned on Thursday morning (8am sharp) to apply the deck stain. He helped me choose which type and color of stain would be most effective and durable, then did a careful job with the work and cleaned up everything afterward. My formerly faded, shabby-looking deck now looks brand new again.

Set up the appointment on Wednesday, June 2, 2010, for Friday, June 4, 2010, at 4 p.m. Friday morning received a voicemail from the "handyman" complaining 4 p.m. is a late time, and if I was able to move up the time to call. The appointed hour of 4 p.m. arrived. The "handyman" did not. At 4:30 p.m. I called the number to verify the handyman's arrival. The company phone was an automated message, without the capability to talk to a person or leave a message. By 5:00 p.m. the process to secure a different plumber was underway. At 5:30 p.m. the "handyman" arrived, when questioned his tardiness and lack of phoning notification, he said he did and we didn't answer the phone. No call, missed or otherwise, appeared on the cell phone. Not a company I would recommend based on their lack of professionalism, customer service or business practices.

Work was done satisfactorily, Some time was spent, however, obtaining the necesary lumber for the job.

I submitted an online inquiry to the company and was contacted by Todd, the owner, within five minutes. They had a workman available the same afternoon (a very personable man named Jason), and he was at my home within two hours. All the work was completed to my satisfaction.

The service and handyman was very responsive and punctual. He arrived exactly on time the day of the work (which I greatly appreciated). The handyman was very friendly and prioritized saving me money on the jobs wherever possible. This really helped keep the costs down. The quality of the work was a B at best. It definitely could have been done better, but not necessarily faster. The quality of the work done was slightly above average at a fair price.
