There were significant delays with installation, inadequate manpower was provided, and Ingram Roofing breached the written contract and did not complete the work. In addition, Ingram Roofing caused considerable damage to our roofing materials, home, and contents due to lack of tarping and their failure to fix leaks. They also did not clean up debris and put it in the designated area. Ingram Roofing acknowledged in writing that they had committed significant problems with the installation, but they have not fixed these problems, including active leaks and other areas that are not flashed and vented properly. There are also significant workmanship issues, including large gaps between shingles, crooked or "snaking" installation of shingles and hip caps, faulty flashing, and missing vent cuts so the roof is not properly vented. We are still held up with construction as a result. In addition, Ingram Roofing sent a bill for an additional $2500 beyond the contract amount for use of their sky track, which they were to provide as part of the contract if needed at no additional cost. Furthermore, Ingram Roofing did not submit a damages claim to their insurance company and they did not provide information regarding their insurance company so that we could contact them directly. In addition, Ingram Roofing has not replied to any correspondence sent to them to try to resolve this situation following their written admission of numerous problems they caused (dated 10/18/12). Certainteed, the manufacturer of the shingles, sent representatives to see the problems caused by Ingram Roofing and they were provided with a copy of the report from Ingram Roofing and our concerns. They will not intervene, however, because Ingram Roofing did not complete the job and did not register the 50 year warranty with Certainteed that is part of the contract.
Description of Work: We contracted with Ingram Roofing to install 50 square of our Certainteed Carriage House, underlayment, flashings, and ridge vent roofing materials on our home.

Description of Work: We put a very large deposit down with with Ingram in March of last year to put a cedar roof on our house, with promises the work would begin in a couple of weeks. The entire summer went by with us making many phone calls to them- and they always promising the work would be starting "after we finish this job". Many of our phone calls were not returned, and it was almost impossible to get past the receptionist- in the false we finally had to ask for our deposit to be returned, and that took a considerable time as well. They tried to deduct cost of materials that they had ordered, but we had never received. This is probably the most unprofessional and frustrating experience we have ever had with a company. We wasted an entire season and didn't get the roof done. I recommend never using this company. |

They are in Rochester Hills, MI. We went with companies who were certified by the manufacturer of the product, Certainteed. The jobs were not done right so they were not signed off on and were not complete. Now the manufacturer will not get involved to help solve the problem, which they really could and should because this is their certified installer. This has caused certain problems because it is holding up other work we are trying to get done and also damage was done to the house, so getting that resolved is an issue. I have a report from them with them acknowledging all of the problems they caused with the roof. Then I responded asking how they were going to deal with it, but I have never heard back from them despite several attempts to get them to resolve it. They have admitted the problem and then they just left it hanging there They never followed through with getting a settlement to their insurance company for the damage they caused. There was some major water infiltration and some other damage that they caused. They basically took roofing materials we had and installed it improperly. It needs to be redone. They also damaged our materials. Because of damages the cost is staggering, but their original price would have been fine had the job been done correctly.
Description of Work: I used Ingram Roofing to roof my house.

Ingram had the job done quickly, we did have to delay the job due to rain, but they were able start when the weather was clear and avoid any water problems. We have a large roof and the quote was right where I expected it to be - and it was reassuring to have a warranty (which they handled). Jim, who patiently explained everything to me, was excellent to work with. We have a weird part of the roof that is from an add on/remodel and they did a beautiful job of making it blend in with the rest of the roof. I also was happy with the venting they recommended as I had researched that in depth also. The only thing I wish is that they would have recommended blown in insulation as that could be done prior to the roof easily. I am so thankful to have found them, I wish they also worked in the Traverse City area as I would have had them do a roof on a house I own there also.
Description of Work: We had a leaking roof on a house we recently purchased and after collecting quotes from about eight different roofing companies I decided to go with Ingram based on their level of knowledge, good price. I had also researched the shingles they used and they were highly recommended.

This company under promised and over delivered. They went above and beyond, drove 45 miles each way to put a sample on our roof, they were here every morning at 7AM and met with me daily to discuss the job. I can't recommend them enough and I have absolutely no complaints. I really lucked out on this one! Also, they were $13,000 less than the next DaVinci recommended roofer.
Description of Work: Ingram Roofing removed our old cedar shake roof and replaced it with DaVinci shake. The gutters and downspouts also were replaced. Some of our cedar siding had to be replaced as well.
