Campro Painting

The "pro" in Campro is well-deserved. Greg is a skillful, patient craftsman, knowledgeable in all aspects of what he does. Besides that, he and his wife (who sometimes assists him) are delightful people to invite into one's home. In my case, after he had long-since proven himself to me in a number of ways, including the meticulous preparation of a wall to be repapered, he ran into a problem that could not possibly have been more out of his control. The oil-based primer with which he painted the wall in question turned out to be defective and actually repelled the wallpaper paste and various subsequent cements used to control loosening wallpaper. This occurred in both my house and in one other project -- the only other where he has ever used this type and brand of primer. (Needless to say, he'll not be using it ever again.) No-one (especially I) wants to strip the wall and rehang the paper, though Greg has offered to do so. Instead, he has repasted loosened strips as necessary -- of course at no charge -- working the time needed to do so into his and MY schedule. At present, the end result looks as good as the rest of his work (which is superb). If the paper doesn't hold this time, I will reconsider letting him start over afresh, but I'm hoping to spare us both that, because I have a number of other areas of the house needing plaster repair and paint, and I prefer to put him to work there. I strongly recommend Greg Campbell and Campro painting to anyone who is particular about what is being done to restore or redecorate a home.
