We tried Comfort Zone among several providers because it quoted the lowest price. The highest quote was $430 from A rated provider from Angies list. Another quote was $150. They came on time. The owner (apparently) and two workers. I saw how they did. They grabbed leaves and branches piled on the gutter cover and washed the gutters afterwards. They did all gutters of our home (2900 sq. ft, two story building). The work was done in one hour. They did not charge extra. They did not try to sell other services. Despite some mixed reviews (which concerned me), I think that they are honest and did excellent services.

Description of Work: I had used this provider and was very happy with them. I paid $1700 for insulation that they guaranteed me would fix my frozen pipes problem. It did not and they froze again. I called and the owner came out. He told me he would send someone out to work on it as soon as they had another call in my direction. It has been a month and 1/2 and no one has called or come. In the meantime, I had to pay $275 to get my pipes thawed and have to run a healthy stream of water every time it is cold to keep it from happening again. I am very disappointed, because I had very good feelings about these people.

a good value. I thought the team was a little rough around the edges and left a little of a mess. I made a good choice price wise and quality wise.

Not very happy. His equipment kept breaking down. He had insulation everywhere. His equipment was falling apart so the hose kept breaking open which cause the insulation to go everywhere. He had a young guy doing all of the work. I wasn't happy with his equipment or attitude. The mortar around the windows is already falling out. The younger gentlemen that did this work stated that he would come out and fix it and I told him to come back out when it is warmer out. He wanted me to give a good review on Angie's List before the work was completed but waited and happy I did.
Description of Work: They installed foam boarding in my basement and put insulation in some walls. They also installed a couple of windows in the basement, too.

Description of Work: Bill, the owner, has been doing insulation for 67 years - he knows what he is doing. He came over and wrote quote up same day, unlike other contractors you had to wait for the quote. He was punctual. He made me aware that I didn't have insulation over stares and that I had a stove vent going to the attic that needed to be propertly vented ouside. He also noted that i needed 3 additional soffet vents and baffles at every truss space to ensure proper ventiliation. The quote was competive, he doesn't charge you extra for services needed or for services not needed. his quote was right on. He specifially said he's not trying to get rich on each job, just to make a reasonable rate. If you are doing insulation, you have to get a quote with comfort zone insulation - a reputatble company at a competive rate..you won't be disappointed. i wish there were more honest companies like this one angies list. Last piece of advice. Comfort zone insulation only does insulation jobs. Other companies on here do multiple jobs - such as home improvement, rooffing, insulation, etc. Only get quotes from companies that specialize in insulation. For example, when Bill gave his quote he said I didn't have insulation over stares in attic. He said he was going to lay netting and insulation over stares. Another company I got a quote from on here, was a home improvement company. They didn't mention anything about laying insulation over stares. Get a quote from Comfort Zone insulation, you won't be disappointed!

The blown in insulation went great .We are very happy with the job they did. As far as adding new vent hoses and side vent well it could have gone better. The handy man doing the work had a hard time getting the idea I wanted the new vents to go out the same hole as the old ones did He wanted to add new roof style vent and cover up or glue shut the old ones. He did do what I wanted but he did not hook them up . I had to call him back out to repair his mistake.. Just a few days ago we had to hire another company to repair the work the first guy did not do .NONE OF MY VENT HOSES WERE HOOKED UP AND WE HAVE BEEN VENTING EVERYTHING INTO THE ATTIC FOR THE LAST 6 MONTHS. THE NEW LINES HE SAID HE PUT ON WERE JUST DRADED OVER THE VENT AND LOOKED LIKE THEY WERE HOOKED UP. THE MAIN BATH WAS THE WORST . NOTHING WAS ATTACHED AT ALL .If you get work done with this guy be sure to get pictures or double check his work .They will never be back in my house again.
Description of Work: They added blown in insulation and new vent and vent hose for both bathrooms.

I had been having a terrible problem with frozen pipes during this awful winter. I called this company because of Angie's List reviews to see if they could help me. The owner, Bill, and the person who actually did the work, Matthew, came and checked out my situation. My home is 83 years old and the age of the house often causes problem for companies and workers used to more modern houses with accessible plumbing and dry wall. Comfort Zone reassured me that they could handle it. He brought two others with him to help. It was an all day job and some glitches and unforeseen difficulties cropped up. But by the end of the day, things seemed to be in order and the problems taken care of. It was very messy work, but they did a good job of cleaning up after themselves and I appreciated that as I don't always see that practice when I hire people. Bill the owner said several times that he was guaranteeing that my pipes were finished freezing and I believe him. I won't be able to check that until we get those frigid days with below zero wind chills again, but I believe that if there is an issue, this company will honor that unwritten guarantee. I was very satisfied dealing with the company and with Bill and Matthew. They seemed to take pride in their work and I felt they were honest with me throughout. I would use them again and recommend them as well. A bonus was the 10% discount given to Angie's List members which save me about $170. Update on 01/09/15 The owner said several times that he was guaranteeing that my pipes were finished freezing and I believe him. I won't be able to check that until we get those frigid days with below zero wind chills again, but I believe that if there is an issue, this company will honor that unwritten guarantee." Unfortunately, the freeze came this week and the pipes froze again. The owner of the company came out to look when I called, but nothing was done. He told me he would have his crew put more insulation on an exposed pipe "when we have a job in your area." He advised I aim a small heater on the pipes. I did so for 12 hours. No luck. So, this morning, I had to pay the plumber $275 to unfreeze my pipes. It certainly looks now as if my $1700 from last March was a waste of money. If this company shows up soon to back up their guarantee, I will update this review again. As of now, I am very disappointed.
Description of Work: They said they were confident that they could solve my problem by getting insulation near my pipes, and also recommended I have some insulation put in my attic. Matthew showed up early on the day designated and began to work. A problem came up later that night with my shower which had to be taken apart for the work, and Matthew came out first thing the next morning on a Saturday and fixed it.

After having a bad quote experience with another insulation contractor, Bill Neubecker was a delight. He was punctual, honest, and professional. There was no hint of high pressure sales like the first contractor. You can trust Mr. Neubecker years of knowledgeable experience. His crew members were just as professional and did a superb job of clean-up. I would highly recommend Comfort Zone for anything I might need.

Bill Neubecker, the owner, came out personally to give us the estimate and visited a couple of times to supervise. The crew was friendly, knowledgeable and very professional, arriving promptly each morning and cleaning up each evening. It is very messy work, but there was only a little dust and debris left visible afterwards. The work took less than four days from start to finish. We learned a lot about our house in the process! Since there was absolutely nothing in the walls before, we're expecting a big difference in comfort and expense this winter. We were very pleasantly surprised by the value we received for a very reasonable price.
Description of Work: Comfort Zone Insulation did a whole-house insulation for us, including blowing cellulose into all the exterior walls and the attic, foam around the perimeter where the foundation meets the first floor, and rigid board around the sides of the crawl space. After the work began, we asked them to install attic vents, since the house had none, and there was no trouble adding that to the job. Mr. Neubecker also fabricated a special cover for our upstairs whole house fan vent, to prevent warm air from escaping in winter.

Prompt, on-time service. Crew was courteous, tidy, and very proficient at their work. Dealing with Comfort Zone was easy and uneventful, which is the way it should be. I'm satisfied and will recommend this contractor to my neighbors.
Description of Work: Added 12" of blown-in cellulose attic insulation to existing 3.5" bats.
