We just bought our house and the inspector told us that our electrical box was overloaded (all breaker slots filled and some circuits were doubled up). Additionally, we noticed our breaker for the well pump would trip often and found that the pump was wired with too small a circuit. We were looking around for an electrician and we received a recommendation from a work friend for SJ Wood electric. We called up SJ Wood and they were very prompt in their response and subsequently scheduled an onsite estimate with them. The husband and wife team showed up on time and were very professional. I showed them an additional small project to wire up the haphazard utility room lighting and they provided a very reasonable estimate for all three tasks (along with bringing the grounding up to code). We scheduled service with them for a time when we could let them in and then they coudl leave and lock up when they were finished (nobody wants to sit in a house without power!). The SJ Wood team showed up on time and promptly started work. When we returned home that evening, we inspected the work and were quite pleased! They cleaned up great and we couldn't even tell that they were in the house! All work was performed perfectly, and everything works as expected. We were very happy with SJ Wood and will look to them again for any future work. Thanks!

Jeff and his wife are very professional. They arrived on time and immediately got to work to complete all the above tasks excellently. They coordinated the inspection required in Portage, Michigan. They knew and had worked with the electrical inspector, so there was no difficulty passing the inspection. Their prices are very reasonable. I definitely would recommend Jeff and his wife to do ANY home electrical work!!
