Speedway Refrigeration & Appliance Repair

Our refrigerator stopped working on a Friday night. Found everything melted early Saturday morning. I called two other companies who would not come out until Monday. I then called Mr. Moses. He came out that afternoon, was courteous and thorough, and the price was very reasonable. He even called to make sure that everything was still working fine later in the week.

Moses came by and took a look at it. It was just a stuck fan. He oiled it and cleaned things up, and I was back in business.

Excellent. By 5 pm the oven was working again and my wife was baking pies. This is our second experience with Mr. Moss and we will most certainly call on him again should the need arise.

Every time Mr. Moss has worked on an appliance at my home it has been a great experience from beginning to end. He is knowledgeable about his trade, gets the job done quickly, and cleans up after he is finished. Mr. Moss is always polite and courteous. He arrives on time and calls ahead to let me know he is on the way. He even dresses neatly and professionally (no dirty sweat-stained t-shirts like other handymen). There also is no wait; he is usually available the following day. Evey appliance he has repaired or installed has worked perfectly. He did have to return to fix the disposal he installed as it was leaking (he said it had come loose). BUT, it been 5 months since he installed it, and he fixed the leak quickly and free of charge. I called another top-rated Angie's List company for an estimate on installing a new disposal, and the cost was comparable to what Mr. Moss charged.

Called to schedule service, Mr. Moss advised he was in the area and showed up within 30 minutes! Confirmed the problem and fixed it within the hour. Mr. Moss was extremely professional and very courteous to my children, letting them watch and engaging them along the way. This was our first time using Mr. Moss and we will not hesitate to do so again if needed in the future.

As usual, Mr. Moss was prompt, courteous and professional. He has done great work for us several times over the past decade. At times, he has advised us to replace rather than repair. This time a relatively inexpensive minor repair got our dishwasher working like new.

I could not get my oven to cut off and The clock and lights on it was blinking. The refrigerator was blowing hot air. I got on Angie's list to find a good company with the ability to come out the same day so my food would not go bad. I called Speedway Repair & Mr. Moss can out the same day and diagnosed the problem and ordered the parts for the stove and came back to do the install. Now I can turn my oven off & the clock lights are not blinking. The parts & labor was $195.00 plus a $65.00 service call. Mr. Moss went above and beyond because he was kind enough to check my dryer out at no charge. He gave me recommendations on moving forward to get it repaired. I will use Speedway Repair again if I have to but I can also refer the company to others because my problems have been resolved.

Moses knows what he's doing and does a good job. I would recommend him to anyone that needed that service done.

Moses was able to come out the same day I called to fix it. Even though the first attempt to fix the leak didn't work, he was able to come back the very next day to fix it completely for no extra charge.

Great!!! It was an impromptu request because of another problem. Mr. Moss was very willing to take a look and make the adjustment, while on site. We appreciate the service.

Excellent! He disconnected an old non working, flooded and leaking dishwasher. Not only did he do that but he spruced up some of the very unprofessional plumbing going on underneath the sink. What was particularly awesome was that he also helped to carry out the disgusting old dishwasher. While investigating the basement for water shut off he noticed our leaking HVAC system (which in our stress we didn't even think to inquire about). He took care of that for us as well. Really nice guy, really helpful, knowledgeable and all for a fair price. We will definitely call on him again.

It went great! Mr. Moss was very thorough and did a phenomenal job repairing the washing machine. He also cleaned up behind himself and made sure the machine was functioning properly before he left.

I'm not really totally satisfied, he put a door sill on and my wash is still leaking and the top panel the electric panel not sure of that part of the machine, looks like some switch got broken off and he was trying to remove that part.

Since we had used Speedway before on our washer and dryer, we gave him a try with our refrigerator. He took it apart and replaced some wiring, not the solenoid I thought was the issue. I guess that is why I hire this done. I would have been going back and forth to the parts store in Canton, he tested it and got it working. Very pleased now to get the crushed ice for my Gin and Tonic.

Speedway was called, we have used them 4 times over the past 5 years. He took it apart and replaced the large part that had the knob. Seemed to work fine, but then after he left, the cycle we ran stopped just before the final rinse. Very frustrating. We called Speedway and he came back out. He spent about an hour taking things apart and then he found out the cause. It was a anti-water leak device I had installed a few years ago. Apparently water splashed on on the device, it shut off the cold water only. When that happened the rinse cycle would not work because the cold water rinse would not load since the water was shut off. That seems like a difficult thing to diagnose, but Speedway found it. Thanks again!

We had purchased a 5 year repair contract on the dryer, but when we reported to the store that we needed repair, they sent a person out who said his contract was if the appliance worked satisfactorily for at least 5 minutes, their job is done. Believe me, he must have had a stop watch. The dryer element heated for about 7-8 minutes then stopped. Every time. I would not recommend buying a repair contract, does not work all the time. WE called Speedway since they had so many recommendations. He had that dryer all apart, it was all over the laundry area. But, he discovered that the second sensor was defective and would shut off the heat after 7-8 minutes. Speedway replaced the sensor and it worked perfectly.

Mr. Moss worked hard to come in the narrow time frame that I had available ( my husband wanted to buy a new dryer) and came within 24 hours of my call. He worked for a little under an hour and found out that the problem was in the electrical box, which he repaired. He also noted a kink in the copper gas line and we made arrangements for him to replace this in a week; needless to say, this could have been very dangerous. Once again, Mr. Moss came through for me. I'm very pleased , as always.

Great. He was available quickly, great service and very knowledgable. His pricing was reasonable as he credits his service call towards the cost of fixing the appliance. The repairs were done well and he provided good advice afterwards. A couple weeks later I noticed an issue with the dryer he fixed and called him to look at it (not knowing if it was something new or related), and he was out the very next day to inspect and fix it. He was also extremely sweet to my toddler son, which is always appreciated when we have new people in our home. We will absolutely be using him again for future appliance needs.

Moses is fantastic. He always responds quickly, performs exceptional service, and charges a fair price. I always call Speedway with our appliance repair needs. He was also very patient with my curious children :)

Called him left a message. He called back the next day and came out that day. When you know what your doing it doesn't take long at all. We paid him and he left. Quick, efficient and punctual. Most importantly it worked.

I called Mr. Moss from Speedway Refrigeration to see if my 14 year old dryer was finally dying or was this a fixable problem, Mr. Moss evaluated the issue and found out the drum gliders were worn off in some places, Mr. Moss fixed the problem and  my dryer made no noise when as it dried our clothes.

It ended up being more expensive than I expected. I wouldn't repeat my service with them. It really didn't seem like I got a discount out of the deal. It's more like I gave some money for them to come out of my house and additional money to perform the service. The service itself was fine. For the cost, the value was low.
