He was really nice. He knew exactly what was wrong and how to fix it right away. I would hire them again.

They are awesome. Things went well, they were prompt and easy to schedule with. He was very professional and reasonable in his hourly rates. He is someone I would trust with any appliance repair I would need.

Mr. Moses stayed until he figured out the problem.

On Friday, Feb. 26, 2010, my mother notified me that her hot water had ran cold due to the pilot light going out, my brother tried to relight the pilot light but it kept going out, I called Mr. Moss, he was able to get to her the next morning and he found that a part on the water heater was worn out and rusted, he replaced the part, this was all completed in approx 30 - 45 minutes, he was professional and very polite as usual, he cleaned up after his work was completed, I cannot thank Angies List enough for finding him.

I called to see if they serviced Detroit (several companies wont come to the city). I explained the problem and asked for an estimate. Mr. Moss quoted a $35.00 service fee which would be applied to the job if service was performed. I said maybe its a compressor and I should just buy a new refridgerator. He said he didnt think so but would have to look at it and he would try to come today 2/27/10. He called back 1 1/2 hrs later and said he could make it. He came right out and fixed my 1983 Whirlpool refridgerator, it was a fan; and a lot cheaper than buyiing a new one. I was/am VERY pleased with his service, price and professionalism. I WILL use him again and HIGHLY RECCOMMEND him.

They came out and explained everything before they started, he told us a few things that it could be and asked if we wanted them to continue. He said most likely the drain was clogged and since there was water in the machine already the floor was going to get wet and asked if that was alright, we said yes and he continued. He found a hand full of coins and the matting off of the bath rugs, he said you should never wash the bath rugs in your machine. After he finished that job he recommended cleaning out my dryer vent and I had that done too. Both jobs combined took a little over an hour.

Mr. Moss was very professional, punctual, and fixed the problem. I thought he was also very pleasant to deal with, and the price of his service was very reasonable, I will definitely use his services again if required. He also offered an Angie's List coupon for a discount, which was nice.

Mr. Moss returned my phone call within an hour of me calling him. He explained that his schedule was fairly tight but that he would try to accommadate me either the day I called him or the next day. I ended up calling him back later on the original day I called him to let him know that my schedule had changed. He said that he could come over that evening and fix the problem. He arrived on time and was extremely professional and thorough. It took him about 45 min to complete the job. He is also very pleasant and honest. I was very satisfied with the work done and I appreciated that he fit me in on the day I contacted him. He also gave me advice on how to clean my refrigerator water filter system out. I would highly recommend him and use him again. I like that it is his own company and that he fixes the problem himself instead of sending someone else out. Also, his charge was extremely reasonable and well worth it!

Mr. Moss was able to come out the same day we called, which happened to be the day before Thanksgiving. He started up the dryer with the front panel off and Murphy's law prevailed - it worked fine! Many other repair people would have cleaned out the lint trap, given us a bill, and left. But he decided to stay and see if anything changed if he let the dryer run for a while. And sure enough, 20 minutes later, the burner quit lighting. Turns out the coils were not functioning properly. He had an appropriate replacement part in his truck, so we had it fixed that evening and saved ourselves having to shell out hundreds more for a new dryer! In addition to being patient and persistent, he was quite personable and offers a discount to Angie's List members. We highly recommend him.

Mr. Moss is honest & knowledgeable. The last time I had someone come out to service our dryer the service company didn't clean out the lint as I had requested (I told them I would pay for it,I may have they just didn't do it). Mr. Moss got the dryer going and cleaned out the dryer. I highly recommend Mr. Moss and will gladly use his services again.

Mr. Moss was very courteous and came to my house at 8 pm to evaluate my washer for a leak! Although he recommended replacing the washer because the labor to repair it would be more than the cost of a new washer, I appreciated his help and promptness. Would use again. His $45 evaluation fee is very reasonable for a house call and (I think) it is applied towards any repair where as some larger companies do not.

I called Mr Moss, he came to my home the next day, and took a look at my dryer. Upon his inspection, he showed me that the belt was fine, showed me the broken seal, which was causing the metal on metal noises that I was hearing. He ordered the part, and the next evening, he came back and fixed everything. He was very thurough and very personable. He's a jem, and I will definately call him again should I need him.

This was an excellent experience and although I hope I don't have need of his services again, he will be the first person I call if I do!

Called Speedway regarding a dryer that was not generating heat. Mr. Moss showed up on time, he was friendly and knowledgeable. Following Murphy?s Laws of the Universe, the dryer was initially worked fine when he checked it out, but he was patient and continued to inspect the dryer until he could see what was failing. His price was fair and his work excellent. I would not hesitate at all to call Speedway if another appliance needs repair.

Awesome experience. Moses called me back and came out when he promised and on time. He made the repair after providing the cost and stayed until it was complete. He's polite, funny, got along great with family while he was here. He called the next day to make sure everything was working properly. I'm having him come back to do some more work. I would highly recommend Speedway Refrigeration & Appliance.

Our dryer stopped working. My husband looked on Angie's list & called 2 other companies before calling Speedway. Mr. Moss was able to come out within a few hours. He took apart the dryer and found out that the igniter was not working. He was able to replace it with one he had on his truck. The cost of the igniter was $32. The dryer was also clogged with lots of lint. He vacuumed it out & cleaned it all nicely. (He also said there were remains of a mouse nest in there -- yuk!) He also spent some time adjusting the metal on the top of the dryer which has been scraping against the drum for years, creating a horrible noise. We had gotten so used to it that we didn't even ask, but he fixed it for us. While he was here, he looked at our washing machine which had a small leak for the last few weeks. He found a small hole in a hose on the inside of the machine. He had to dig around for a while to find it, but he DID find it & he replace the hose & fixed it. While there he also checked out our furnace filter for us. He left everything running great & it was all very clean when he left. He was very responsive, professional & his prices were great for the level of service we got. He was here for almost 3 hours, and the total bill was $217.

When I called to make the appointment, they were very courteous and professional. I scheduled the appointment for a Thursday morning and Wednesday night Mr. Moss called to confirm the appointment. He then called Thursday morning around 9am to say that he was on his way. Mr. Moss was very professional and knowledgeable about his line of work. I really appreciated how he explained what was wrong and offered tips on how to prevent problems in the future. He was very neat and cleaned up behind himself. I will certainly use him again.

Mr. Moss (owner) from Speedway Refrigeration came to fix my broken fridge. His wife answered the phone and booked the appt. He arrived within 1/2 hour. There were 3 things wrong...broken switch, broken fan, and broken defrost timer. He had all the parts on his truck and had it working again in just over 2 hours. I was very impressed with his professionalism and his knowledge. Great service at a fair price!

Mr. Moss was a hour and a half late. My appointment was for 12:00pm at about 12:30 I called to see if he was still coming, I talked to a woman who told me she would give him my message, around 1:00 Mr. Moss called to tell me he got hung up on another job and didn't think to call, but he was on his way. When he finally got there around 1:30pm, I showed him to the basement and showed him the dryer, then I ran back up stairs to take care of something, when I came back down Mr. Moss was just about finished and was telling me that the cost was 93.00. God I wished I had asked him about cost before he got started, it also would have been nice if he had said something before he started the job, if I had known up front what the cost was going to be, I would have tried to find someone else, I think 93.00 for something that took less then 30 minutes was a bit high. One other thing I didn't like. When I came down stairs and Mr Moss was telling me 93.00, he was also packing up his things, like he was getting ready to leave, even though the dryer vent wasn't hooked up, I had to say something to him twice about that, for a minute there I kind of thought he was going to leave without hooking it up, that cost me another 25.00 for parts, he even added sales tax, and since he had me make the check out to him instead of his company, I wonder if the state will ever get that sales tax money. I contacted Mr. Moss because he was in the Southfield area, not far from me, and because on pass reviews, he seemed to be reasonably priced, but not anymore.

I called to have the ice maker repaired. I left a message. My call was returned quickly. The service man arranged to come the following day. He arrived within the time parameters he said he would. He completed the job in about an hour and did a good job of cleaning up afterward. I was very satisfied with the service and would definitely call again.

Once he took my washer apart to diagnose the problem, he cleaned up his area and disconnected the water line so the washer could not be turned on again because it would only make things worse.

The service was exceptional. The owner was very prompt, courteous, professional and skilled. He properly diagnosed the problem, unlike a previous technician who misdiagnosed the problem with the ice dispenser, then never returned. Speedway returned the very next day with the proper part and made the repair. He also noticed that the filter needed cleaning and proceeded to do so. I was most pleased with his service and would recommend him without hesitation.

I HAVE USED THIS COMPANY MANY TIMES. MY WASHING MACHINE IS PROBABLY TWENTY FIVE YEARS OLD AND HE SEEMS TO ALWAYS HAVE THE RIGHT PARTS THAT ARE NEEDED TO REPAIR MY MACHINE AND THAT ALWAYS MAKES MY WIFE VERY HAPPY.
