Amazing job!! We were really in a crunch & Michael went out of his way to help us get the job done in a really short amount of time. It looks spectacular! He did some custom edging that looks great! Nice straight lines, beautiful grout job. Michael & his crew kept the site super clean while they were working on it - even brought their own vaccumn! Took the time to listen to us and when we ran out of tile, didn't even complain about having to re-do a couple of runs of tile. Incredibly industrious. On time. Polite. They will be our go-to tilers from now on. Michael also does masonry and we are going to hire them to do some tuckpointing, as well as facing some pillars and a list of items at my In Laws as well. Super impressed & that's really hard to do!! Thank you SO much for getting us out of a tight spot, Michael!

Both projects went very well. Mike was knowledgeable and provided me with a detailed estimate. His price and repair options were very good. He and his co-worker arrived when they said they would, and finished the work a day early - I was very pleased. Additionally, once the old chimney was taken apart, Mike found more repairs that needed to be made and recommended a better solution than originally planned and quoted. However, he also suggested a way to reuse some brick and the cost stayed the same. Again, i was pleased. I'd hire Mike again, for sure.

He did a terrible job! When I told him it was not a good job and it needed to be fixed, he kept asking me what he should do to fix it?! Our maintenance guy gave him some advice and he tried to fix it. It was improved somewhat but still a bad job. Pictures are the proof.

Well! Mike was prompt with his reply to my request for a bid, stayed true to his word with the amount and the supplies, performed the work within a week, and pledged to return at any time if there were any problems with his work. Mike is young, but he is a good business person with a cheerful disposition and a goal of providing the best work possible.

It was excellent. They are honest, hard working, polite and they cleaned up after themselves. They answered all my questions and I am very happy. I would recommend them.

I was very pleased with the service. We have a large concrete front porch set on bricks that was crumbling near the front door as well as a front walk that was experiencing some damage from tree roots. Mike and Sean were very honest and helpful in making recommendations to fit our needs and budget. They suggested only replacing a portion of the porch and simply sealing the rest, much cheaper than a full replacement. I also very much appreciated the little touches that really added to the quality of their work. They nicely kept the brick setting and added a couple angles to the cut and the step that both reduced the ability to see the difference between old and new from the street and improved the look of the porch overall. We are very happy with the finished project. The only minor problem we had were the amount of tools/work products left in our yard during the process, however as soon as I expressed a concern it was taken care of. When the job was completed there was some minor cleanup required on our part filling in some space by the front walk (left by the supports used during the pour) and replanting some grass that had been killed were bags of concrete had been left but everything else was spotless. I will definitely call Midwest again if I have any future needs.

Everything went extremely well! Mike and Shawn are very responsive in communications, clear in their explanations of what they planned to do, and highly punctual in getting the work done! They made sure I was satisfied with the work performed, and offered follow up service on a part of the driveway repair should it be necessary. Very reasonably priced, I'm quite satisfied with the work performed, and would use them again!

It went well.   They started sooner than estimated and finished on schedule.  Very courteous and responsive to questions and concerns.  Addressed all issues promptly and satisfactorily.  Did a great job of cleaning up and left the site better than when they began.

Mike and Sean were excellent.  They arrived on time, provided a quick estimate and performed the work the same week after I called them.  

They were prompt, and kept me posted on the progress of the job throughout the day.  They cleaned up afterwards and made certain I was pleased with the repair.  My porch should be in good shape for many years to come.

I wanted to get my basement walls repaired before the winter hit because they had cracks in them. I called around to a few other Masonry companies. One of them told me I should tear down the walls and start new. The others were all out of my price range. So, I was talking to a friend of mine who recieved Mike and Sean's services and they were really happy with the finished project. I called Midwest Masonry Services and spoke with Mike and Sean and had them come to my house to give me an estimate and see if the walls were salvagable. When they came out they offered me a few other options which stayed within my budget. I decided to go with them, it took them two days to complete. They respected my home and made sure the mess was gone. What I thought was going to be a disaster turned out to be a simple and easy fix. I am definitely happy with the outcome of our basement. They even called me a few days ago to follow up on how their work had held up through the winter. I recommend these guys to anyone whose looking for masonry work. Thanks guys!

Midwest came by and left an unsolicited note on my door noting that there were masonry issues at the bottom of the garage (easily seen from the street) and on the chimney.  You had to stand closer to the house to see the chimney issues but it would have been possible to see the problems from the ground - if you knew what to look for.  I was well aware of the issue by the garage because it was something I had been planning to do something about - I just didn't know who to call.  I had a cap put on the chimney and a lot of work done on the top several rows when I moved into the house (about 15 years ago).  The work I had done at the time was by a man who was suggested by the person who inspected my house before I bought it.  The work I had done at that time cost me in excess of $4000 - and he did not do a very good job - so I was a little nervous about getting the work done again.  Blake, from Midwest, came to evaluate the job within a couple of days of my contact.  He took pictures and climbed up on the roof and took more pictures.  The earlier job on the chimney top had crumbled and I could see all the cracks in the mortar in the pictures.  Jeff called me back with an estimate ($2750) that was a better price for more work than what I had paid 15 years ago.  They did excellent work matching my bricks (they aren't made anymore) and completing the work in a timely fashion.  The job was completed in another week or two - weather and my going out of town intervened.  They did a wonderful job for a good price.  I'm very happy with their work, their professionalism, and the price - and I plan to have them back in the spring to re-pour my concrete driveway.

My wife and I have been looking for quite some time to get some quality masonry work done on our back porch as well as around or home. The issue we were having was finding quality work at a reasonable price. We had gotten multiple estimates that ranged from $6,000-9,000 and we just could not justify spending that amount of money. We found this start-up company on a craigslist ad and decided that we would have them come out for an estimate and talk. After talking with these two young men we came to realize that they were head masons at a well known masonry company based out of Ann Arbor that decided to branch off and start there own venture.
 One thing that really stood out to me was how honest they were about what we thought we needed and what we actually needed done. We felt so comfortable with them as well as there extremely reasonable price we decided to have them go ahead with the job. They were extremely professional young men and did excellent work. After each day of work they would walk me through what they had done and what else they still had yet to complete. 
 I am very pleased with my decision to go with Midwest Masonry. These young men will do very well in there new venture and I hope them all the best.

I was referred to this fairly new company Midwest masonry services by a neighbor who raved about the deal they got and the quality of work they received on a new porch and chimney rebuild. I had high expectations from the start and was not disappointed. They exceeded in every way, Mike and Sean were very professional and knowledgeable about their craft and proved it with the quality of work. I was pleased with the honest estimate I received (I had previously requested an estimate from a company that tried to up-sell me on more than what I needed). Overall I give these guys an A+ and wish them the best in their future endeavors, will definitely hire again in the future!! highly recommended
