We are extremely happy with the new roof. We had several quotes. Tri-County's pricing was fair and the product and installation, excellent. They removed the old shingles and underlayment and replaced them with top-quality underlayment and shingles. They also replaced ridge vents, pipe collars, chimney flashing, etc. and installed a high-grade copper v-channel. The shingles and workmanship both come with excellent warranties. They cleaned up after themselves and used a magnetic sweeper to pick up any nails that might have been missed in general cleaning. I would highly recommend Tri-County Roofing.

My mortgage company required us to replace our roof before approving the loan. This was in November. I called Tri-County Roofing and got an estimate. The manager said he was getting ready to lay crews off for the winter due to insufficient business. They took my job. The day it was to start, nobody showed up. I called and, miraculously, he had so much business that everyone was busy on other jobs and couldn't get to mine. The job was delayed by a week. It was to take about 3 days to complete. After they started, it took almost 2 weeks to complete. They used the excuse that the existing roof had twisty nails installed and it was extra work to remove them. On top of that, there were days where nobody would show up. I had no recourse because the mortgage company needed receipts to show the job was getting done. The company would provide no receipt without 100% payment. A few years later the roof started to leak. Calls to the company went unanswered until legal action was threatened. The owner/manager came out, stood on the ground looking up at the roof and said "I don't see any problems...". We had to convince him to go up on the roof and use a hose to find the leak. By this time the ceiling and walls had been destroyed and were completely removed to the studs and rafters. After finding the leak, he proceeded to patch it with roof tar. The leak stopped but he offered no reimbursement for all of the damaged wall/ceiling/carpet. A claim had to be made to my insurance company. When servicing my gutters later I discovered that there was no roofing felt/underlayment under the shingles. They had laid the new shingles directly on the sheathing. Please stay away from Tri-County Roofing & Construction! They will take your money (too much of it) and do a substandard job.
