Get a total itemized bid including cost of materials, not just a hand written note that said $700 for the work and not include the materials cost. Spent a lot of time talking and not working, brought his girlfriend in as a helper....not much of an asset.

"Member, I thought you were pleased with the job. I was over and repaired and area that came loose on your wall paper. That was the only problem I thought there was . If you thought your ceiling needed another coat, I would have gladly re-coated it for you. My girlfriend, who is now my wife, still helps me now and then, just like my mom used to do for me. They are both great help to me and my business. Maybe you have a problem with me bringing a female on the job to help. Also, you, and your wife were very kind to us and spent time talking with us too. I thought that was just a bonus that we had things in common. I am sorry you were so dissapointed with me on your job, and the bill. I myself would have never payed the bill until I was satisfied.I did not over charge you. 700 for labor was very reasonable to remove and install the wallpaper and the painting I did in your kitchen and stairway. Come on, Did you think labor was going to be free or nearly nothing? Like always I would have stood behind my work. In fact, Member, I still will. My phone number is 269-720-3952.
