No work was performed. I can mimic Birmingham, MI. from 6/29/2024, except no deposit refund as of Oct 4, 2024. We hired Treavor on May 21, 2024, he took a $2550.00 down payment and cashed it the same day. I too requested a refund of the down payment and the same excuses as others have said started (check is in the mail, will meet you somewhere, broken truck, child care, etc). Itâ s the beginning of Oct and still no pmt has been made but the excuses keep flowing. I Can only reach him via text as well. I highly DO NOT recommend hiring this contractor. He is very dishonest and may not be legit. I will update this review if I ever get the money back without forcing him via court system.

Contacted Trevor for a quick gate install due to adopting a dog. He was referred to me however I was super nervous from other reviews. I was told he would get the job done. That he barely did. I was told he was going to be pull the old posts and old concrete, install new posts & gate. He pulled the posts and foamed in the new posts into the old concrete. Not the biggest deal but if it was part of the quote where did the money go? He installed the gate with a large gap, started talking about how it wouldâ ve needed to be custom but never once told me that during the initial quote. The latch installed was incorrect for said gap so the dog was able to get right out of the gate. I reach out to him regarding this, he ordered a new latch and apologized. The gate is extremely uneven and looks terrible. After several texts trying to figure out when he would show up and a few reschedules on his end (as many reviews have stated) he finally came out to install the new latch but did not address the unevenness as he said he would. Do yourself a favor and go with a different contractor. Not worth the headache since he clearly doesnâ t take much pride in his work.

Contract was signed on on 2-28-24 Had to contact Trevor numerous times for updates as to when the project would be started. Wanted to know when to remove the old fence because I have a deaf dog and it is very unsafe for her to be in the yard without a fence. Said he would be there on 4-8-24. No call no show on the 8th. Finally arrived on 4-16-24. Install a crooked fence on the east side of our property. The gates don t line up so every time it is windy the gate opens. Very unsafe for my deaf dog. My husband finally installed a pipe to keep the gate closed. The issues were addressed with Trevor about the poor workmanship. Adjusted a few things then left saying he would be back on the 17th. My husband told him we still had issues with the fence he had installed. Was told that the bushes would cover the crooked fence. My husband let him know how he wanted to proceed with the west side installation. Trevor told him that this was a hostile work environment and was canceling the contract. Said he would email me the final numbers. I followed up with him. 2 text messages and a registered letter that was returned with no response from Trevor. I have more documents to present that will be forwarded as soon as I have them scanned in. Also sent a text that he would discount my bill $150 for all the issues.

We wanted to have a contractor install a fence at our daughter's home in Michigan. Because we live in a different state, we decided to use Angi to hire a trusted contractor. In the beginning, Trevor from Scarbrough Family Construction was very responsive and easy to work with. On May 31st, my husband spoke with Trevor on the phone. He told Trevor we needed a fence installed on our daughter s property to be completed before July 1st, 2024. Trevor explained the process of how he would complete the project. He also stated that he prefers to communicate through text or phone calls. He came out quickly to assess and give us a quote. Our daughter met with him and confirmed that he would be able to complete the fence before July 1st. He told her that there wouldn t be a problem with our timeline. He sent us a quote and said that he would need $2,400 upfront to get started. He said he needed it as soon as possible because it would take at least two weeks to get all of the materials. My husband signed the contract and sent an email to Trevor stating again that the fence would need to be completed before July 1, 2024. I sent him the money through PayPal on June 4, 2024. On June 6 I texted Trevor and asked him to please make sure he contacted my daughter before anyone was to be on the property. He never responded to my text message so my husband texted him on June 7th. He responded to my husband stating that it would be a week or two before anyone would be on the property depending on how the current week went with his then-current project. We did not hear from him since the 7th so my daughter texted him on Monday, June 17 trying to get an idea when they would be out. He has not responded to her as of yet. My husband then texted and called him on Thursday, June 20 leaving him lengthy messages and he still has not responded. He tried to call him Friday and his phone went right to voicemail. He called again yesterday morning, left a message, and then sent a text. Still no response as of today

We hired Trevor Scarbrough in April 2024. We went over our project in person and he presented himself as an experienced contractor. He took a $3,500 down payment and cashed the check on 4/11/24. From the point forward you could only get him to respond via text (except for one call) and the line of excuses for not doing the work was near unlimited (broken truck, sickness, child care, wind, rain, can not find a laborer, etc.). By mid-June it appeared I had been scammed. I simply requested my deposit back and the excuses and delays began for that. First the check would be mailed then he would drop it off and the story on lies continued. I would highly recommend not hiring this contractor. They are very dishonest and may not be legitimate business at all. I will update this review if I ever get the money back without forcing him via the court system. Update: No work was ever done but I did get my deposit back Mid-July

Scarbrough Family Construction did a great job on the fence installation. They were efficient, and professional and got the job done in the required time frame. I highly recommend this company.

Installed a 12 foot chain link gate for me and Iâ m super happy with how it turned out. Excellent communication from start to finish. A++ Will hire again for future projects :)
