He was responsive, detail oriented and install went so smoothly. I will definitely get my replacement windows from Clarkston Window and Door next year!!

I contracted with them to replace every window in my house and I couldn't be more thrilled with the work they did. I knew exactly what I was getting and what to expect. They didn't try to nickel and dime me with upgrades and a variety of products. The installers were amazing! They were pleasant and cleaned up after themselves. I was able to turn the thermostat down as soon as they finished. I could feel the difference that quickly. And my windows look amazing!

Phenomenal Place! I had a window I wanted to resize in my kitchen (no one need a window to their knees when they could have cabinets), but had a very difficult time finding someone that would do the job since it was only 1 window. I came across Clarkston Window and Doors and they were happy to do the work! I sent them pictures and described the job and was able to get an estimate on my window resize via email. They sent a guy out to get measurements, create a materials list, and confirm the pricing. I appreciate the involvement I had the entire time – we marked where the cabinets would be and worked TOGETHER to determine the new window size. I was blown away at how professional and well done the job was and that I, as the homeowner, was included all along the way! When installation day came we had to reschedule (thanks polar vortex) but I only needed to wait a couple extra days. The installation went amazing, I couldn’t have asked for any better of service! I loved the whole process and doing business with Clarkston Window & Door that I am getting my front door redone with them because the entire casing needs to come out and requested the same installers.

Process went very smooth from the time the salesman came out and gave quote till the time of final installation.

The installation crew was AMAZING!! They were timely, professional, knowledgeable and cleanly. They went above and beyond the call of duty and ensured I understand the entire process from start to finish.

They are outstanding and responsive! They did an excellent job! I will definitely recommend and use them, again.

Clarkston Window and Doors is A+. Tim made the quoting and decision making process easy, while Steve and his team did a great job on the installation. They covered the floors to reduce marks, cleaned up and made sure it was spotless each night. The windows look great both inside and out. I would highly recommend Clarkston Windows and Doors.

I vetted out several companies prior to hiring Clarkston W&D.  Fair pricing and professional presentation/communication is ultimately why I hired them.  They took their time, were very professional, always wearing booties.  They didn't even ask for water or to use the restroom.  A very good high quality install.  My 1 year old was able to take a nap WHILE THEY WERE WORKING, so that goes to show you how quiet and efficient they were.

I called Clarkston Window & Door because my garage door was off the track. Bill Gerken stopped by the same day to repair the problem. He was professional and had the garage door operational in no time. I am completely satisfied with the repair. I would highly recommend this company to anyone.

Bill from Clarkston Window and Door was extremely knowledgeable about garage doors.  He has been in the business for many years.  He did a great job educating me on what options I had and I appreciated that he did not try to sell me the most expensive option.  The team did a very thorough job, cleaned up perfectly after.  They even installed a key pad that we had in a drawer from our existing garage door opener that we had never installed.  
I am very pleased with the work done by Clarkston Window and Door.  We should have gotten a new garage door a long time ago.

April 2015: Last year my garage door broke. I called another company in the area who inspected and repaired it..  The "repair" cost me $500 and it still never worked right.  We tried to get the company to come back out to service the door but they wanted to charge us another service call.  Ridiculous! Never did this other company say that I should have gotten a new door in the first place.
Flash forward to Feb 2016:
After we finally were so fed up with the temperamental garage door situation, we called Clarkson Window upon the referral from a friend and neighbor.   The salesperson Bill was a very nice guy and was prompt with his appointment.  He inspected the work that was done by the former company and while he didn't badmouth them, he did say that the repairs were too extensive and that the door should have probably been replaced a year ago.  Understanding that I had already shelled out $500 the year prior for a garage door repair that still didn't work, Bill helped us pick out a replacement door that fit within our budget...and best of all even offered easy financing.  
The day prior to installation, Dave called to verify the appointment and he let us know what we needed to do on our end to prepare.  On installation day, Juan came on time and was very courteous and had obvious knowledge about what he was doing.  He finished the installation and cleaned up after himself.  I was very impressed with his work from start to finish.
This is the kind of customer service that we need more of.  My experience with Clarkston Window and Door resulted in the following:

Talk about zero pressure experience. I felt so at ease buying windows from Clarkston Windows.  We purchased from another "big name" provider for our former house & regretted it til the day we sold the house so this time I did my research.  From the moment the salesman (forgot his name) came to our house to the moment the window rebate was submitted we felt as if we were their #1 priority.  The salesman went from room to room, window to window explaining why each window was used by the builder (in his opinion) and what our options were for replacement.  We chose to replace some windows with the same thing the builder used but he made some excellent suggestions I am thrilled about.  First, he mentioned that we had this solid window in our dressing area/closet bedroom combo area that wasn't operational.  He said we could install a window that would open like an awning to allow for ventilation. This is my favorite window.  It can be open in the heaviest of rain storms and doesn't let rain in.  He also suggested several options for our bay which overlooked our backyard.

Our install was held up but a few times but we were well informed day to day as the weather progressed.  The first cancellation was for the biggest snowfall we had of the season and the second was for the coldest day on records for the area.  Cold weather is not good when they need to remove siding.  It could damage the siding and nobody wanted that to happen.  Also, they wanted to be done as quickly as possible and leave my house vulnerable for the least amount of time as possible as I had 2 toddlers.

Here I am 1 year later and I love my windows as much as I do if not more than I did the day I got them! 

The process of getting new windows was very painless starting with the quote through the installation.  Sales were low pressure and thorough. Came to my home at the time arranged, did a thorough inspection of all my windows and gave me good recommendations.  The installers were very polite, friendly , efficient and cleaned up everything before leaving including my garage.  Steve the crew leader took the time to explain the features of my new windows and demonstrated locking and screen removal.  Even though the day they did the outside trim work it was 18 degrees, the crew did not rush and it all looks fabulous. I would highly recommend Clarkston if you ever need windows in your home.

I tend to over-research whenever I have a project, and for this I probably interviewed four different contractors. I'm extremely pleased and would definitely use them again. They managed to replace all the upstairs windows in just a few hours.  There were some small scratches on one side of one window, so minor it could have been ignored, but they replaced it. They were always responsive. I never had any problems reaching them. They came on the day and at they time we agreed on, they cleaned up after themselves,  They were professional and very nice.  The pricing was very fair and very reasonable for the work done.  Jeff even filled out the paperwork so I could apply for an energy credit.

They arrived when scheduled and introduced themselves to me right away. Then they started prepping all the areas they were going to be working. They layed thick cardboard strips thoughout the house where they were going to be walking. There was 3 men and they all started working right away . They installed 10 windows a picture window and a patio door. All done approximately 7 hrs. With a small lunch break . What a pleasant experience and they cleaned up every bit of debris. They swept and vacuumed also.

Went well.  We have been doing home renovations in many areas of our house.  Of all the services provided I would say this went the smoothest.  They where very professional.  They showed up for all appointments on time.  Finished on time. Windows are great.  Price was the best.  Not pushy sales people and honest.  Great doing business with them.  I suppose it was unavoidable, but expect a little minor paint chipping around windows that was only problem I had.  Still highly recommend.

Great service, great product (North Star), no pressure and no nonsense.  Jim came to the house and provided the quote within three days.  They were the first and only window company we had quote the job. We gave them the job two weeks after doing some research and reviewing other window companies and products.  Jim was not pushy, we felt we could trust him and we did.
We did go to a couple local building supply companies who specialize in windows to get our own prices on windows and discussed installation with a couple of different installers over the phone.  The windows we saw at the building supply companies in the price range we wanted to pay were definitely inferior to the North Star product.  The North star product was a full screen window with a double sliders,  slid smoothly, looked good and a bonus - the warranty is transferable when we sell the home.
Prior to installation, Jim helped us pick out the outside color and recommended the paint-able/stain-able window for our bays and the white finish for the bedrooms. Jim offered the chance to do the windows in a couple of stages if we wanted to help spread out the cost thru the year.  We decided to do them all at once.
Clarkston Window and Door  has used the same installers for over 30 years.  Steve and his team were great.   Steve came out measured, and explained what the windows would look like since they were replacing old, thin, aluminum ones.  He also noticed some bad trim boards that needed to be replaced.
Steve and his team came on time, and completed the job in one and a half days.  They performed quality workmanship, replaced some bad trim boards and blended the windows with the trim nicely.  They cleaned up after themselves both days, and did not leave a mess anywhere.
We would most definitely recommend Clarkston Window and Door to anyone.

Tim was very helpful throughout the ordering / sales process, answered many questions throughout the process. When it came time for installation, Steve and his crew were great. Very thorough and friendly - job site site looked great when they were finished.
