LEE-RAMSAY FUNERAL HOME INC

I realize the pain we felt was exacerbated by the circumstances of mother's death. However, I feel these errors made by Lee-Ramsay should not have occurred under any circumstances. Funerals are too expensive, we are too vulnerable and are not in a position to deal with extra problems. The obituary was full of errors, misspellings of names, the wrong names attached to my mother's sisters. Initially, in seeing it online I thought the person must have been not well/imbibing because the errors were so numerous. They did change it online, did refund the newspaper ad cost, however the newspaper obit was hard copy. At the wake/viewing, we were told not to use the "common area" where food, coffee were available because of the other two funerals that were taking place that day. This is part of the package, and people brought food to be shared but could not put it in the viewing room because we were told it was not allowed! There was no limo.... I don't know if they still do that. BUT the hearse that they used for my mom wouldn't unlock at the cemetery. We waited in the cold, one of the funeral home people joked (under the circumstances, I was offended/hurt/pained, ), and we were told it was a lesser used vehicle because they were so busy with other funerals. Perhaps this isn't a lot in view of the pain in the world, but at the time all of this was quite unbearable. I must add: the death certificate they filled out did not have a name spelled correctly ( they truncated it to 4 letters- although they should be used to spelling Polish names!)    They put PRZY instead of Przybylski. Again, not a big deal but YES, a sad sad thing to do for $7300 and to add the pain ...
