Service tech as friendly, helpful, and knowledgeable. During AC tuneup a part needed to be replaced. Work was done with no additional service/labor charge since they were there already. Tech took measurements and looked in attic to evaluate for replacement furnace.

Called up and was given a quote and day of installation. They came right on time and had the water heater. I made the mistake of not telling them I needed a power vent heater, so they went back to the shop and came back with what I needed. They were very professional about the exchange. They told me the extra cost in the power vent model and I agreed as it was my mistake and I knew it was more expensive. The whole conversion was about an hour and they didn't leave any mess. I would recommend Michigan Heating and Cooling for plumbing needs and would use them again.

No other heating contractor seemed to be able to solve the problem with my hot water heating system. They would give me estimates for thousands of dollars to add things the system never needed in the first place, or actually do work that made things worse. Mark came in and saw immediately that the system was simply very low on water. Additionally, he found that the carbon monoxide problem was caused by a sticky damper in the vent. He also helped discover that part of the problem was the government energy controls built into our |thermostats. While the system isn't yet perfect, things are so much better! I will have Mark back to fix one more small issue. He did what he said he could do, when he said he would do it with professionalism and good humor. He is a winner.

Mark's work crew came on the day expected and finished the job to my complete satisfaction. They installed a high-energy furnace and water heater, connected ductwork to the cold air return vents, and corrected problems with the hot air ducts to the upper floor. When the workers were done they swept the basement floor, leaving it cleaner than before the installation.

Mark kept me informed every day of the progress, and called me after it was completed to confirm that the job was done to my satisfaction. In the six months since I have had no problems with the furnace or water heater. As a single woman I have had to deal with dishonest and predatory treatment from salesmen and workers. Mark Grubaugh proved himself to be honest, honorable and totally reliable.

I called him today for a quote on completing the central air conditioning. He called me back within an hour with the quote. The unit will be installed in two days, and I anticipate the same excellent materials and workmanship. I trust it there are any problems he will deal with them promptly.
