John returned my calls within 2 hours. John showed up when he said he would. John did exactly what I asked. Johns priced was very very competitive. I would recommend Johns Tree Service.
Description of Work: John showed up for a quote the next day of my call to have some small trees cut down and grind the stumps. His quote was very fair. I ended up not needing him to cut the trees, but later I did call him again to grind 4 stumps. He came the next day.

It went pretty well. There was a lot of clean up afterwards that I had to do. He took a long time returning my call. He said he would come that same afternoon and he did.
Description of Work: We had them out in May to remove some tree stumps.

After receiving 4 quotes, I chose John's because he was very prompt and knowledgable. He seemed to know what I was worried about and covered it all while explaining how he would do the job. I was particularly concerned about the high voltage power line seemingly in the way. It was obvious John has been doing this a while and knows how to do it right. Oh, by the way, he was also low bidder! John and the entire crew showed up early so the crane was set up and ready to go by the start time of 8 am, which was marked by the start of the chainsaws. great care and attention was given to prevent damage to the asphalt from the crane stabilizers. The guys worked hard and fast all day. My fear of damage to my property or the safety of the crew was completely unfounded. When they were done, there was nothing left of the tree accept the topsoil and grass seed bare spot where it once stood. After they left, I couldn't find a single thing out of place. Except for the missing tree, I wouldn't have known they had been there. My standard of doing what you say you will do, when you say you will do it, they way it is suppose to be done was completely met.
Description of Work: Cut down a dying 110 ft Japanese Elm endangering the house, deck and garage of one of my best customers.

he was very good. His price was more than fair because of his honesty.
Description of Work: He performed a major trimming of a large tree. He didn't take down the whole tree he said it was unnecessary, but just thinned it out, which saved us a lot of money.

Everything was fine until the crane left. Three impressions were left in the blacktop of the driveway. They did not put down a large enough mat or board to distribute the weight. I called the company that put the driveway in. They patched the spots and seal coated it. John's Tree Service paid the bill for this, however we now have patch spots. John's Tree Service cleaned up everything except small debris that was on the roof. I had to pay someone to come and sweep it and clean the gutters. Those are questions one might want to ask when getting estimates for tree removal. Will there be roof cleaning and weight distribution of the crane, since they are very large and weigh a lot? Also make sure they have insurance.
Description of Work: Three large dead elm trees were removed from our backyard. A crane was needed to take them over the house, since there was no access for equipment to get to the backyard. Our estimates ranged from 2100 to 3600 to do this job.
