After receiving 4 quotes, I chose John's because he was very prompt and knowledgable. He seemed to know what I was worried about and covered it all while explaining how he would do the job. I was particularly concerned about the high voltage power line seemingly in the way. It was obvious John has been doing this a while and knows how to do it right. Oh, by the way, he was also low bidder!
John and the entire crew showed up early so the crane was set up and ready to go by the start time of 8 am, which was marked by the start of the chainsaws. great care and attention was given to prevent damage to the asphalt from the crane stabilizers. The guys worked hard and fast all day. My fear of damage to my property or the safety of the crew was completely unfounded. When they were done, there was nothing left of the tree accept the topsoil and grass seed bare spot where it once stood. After they left, I couldn't find a single thing out of place. Except for the missing tree, I wouldn't have known they had been there.
My standard of doing what you say you will do, when you say you will do it, they way it is suppose to be done was completely met.
