Nate and crew poured 2 patios and walkway. Within a few months flaking and chipping in multiple places. Tried working with him several months on fixing. Does not stand behind work Crumbling daily. Highly disappointed in workmanship. 5 separate contractors came out. Said it was a bad job and bad quality

09/17/2019 Updates Nathan was out of town those days, and he did contact me and updated the quote accordingly. We decided to go with him as he assured us that he will finish our job at the same time as that of our neighbor (who signed contract with them 2 weeks early). Yes, he did. His crews are very professional, and the job went very well. The result looks great! It is a great experience. I would highly recommend his company for any concrete work. 07/27/2019 original We submitted his quote with driveway extension plan for HOA approval, and found out that we need to change the plan per HOA feedback, and then we send him quote change request via text, email, and phone message for multiple times, and in the meanwhile, we informed him we are ready, and ask him the schedule for our job prior to giving him the deposit as this is new construction home, and there are many tasks outside needs to be coordinated. No response from him since then, I guess he is probably very busy with many projects, and has no time for small job. That's fine, and I would think it would be more polite to let us know he is busy and has to turn down the new customer. Not like other cement supplier, he request deposit at the sign, that is fine, as a return, I would believe it will be fair to let his customer know the job schedule.

The response to our request was very fast, and we got and accepted the quote right away. The quote was very fair, and was the amount we paid. We had to wait a bit longer than expected to have the work performed, but that was primarily due to uncooperative weather. When they did the work, the crews were great and fast, and they completed the job in a short amount of time. The owner answered all our questions, and has been wonderful throughout the entire project. I highly recommend them, and will hire them again if we need any concrete work done again.

I would definitely recommend them! Every staff member was so professional and nice. They gave honest informations and helpful suggestions. Our patio looks amazing and we can't wait for the nice weather to use it.

They gave a good estimate. Were there when they said they were going to be and the work was great. This was one of the only companies that actually showed up for the estimate. Very professional.

Best guys until you close a deal. Once signed, nothing but excuses for 4 months. No show. Rep (Dion) would not take or return calls once deposit paid. Finally showed and completed job after 4 months. Fantastic work, but separate crew did actual work, they were wonderful. Broke existing driveway with trucks and refused to do anything. Would not recommend them.

Outstanding job all around. Nate, the owner, offered great suggestions for the design of our replacement patio. He offered several attractive patterns and colors, which led to a plan for our replacement patio that met our visual and functional requirements. Nate's team was outstanding. They were very industrious and hard working. All of them knew what they were doing and worked cohesively and efficiently to achieve a quality product. They were very personable and professional and made us feel like valued customers. They clearly took pride in doing a quality job. The work was done efficiently and with care. The team flexibly adjusted to accommodate some rain, enabling the job to be completed as quickly as possible without risking poor quality due to the weather. The finished patio and wall was everything we had hoped for. Nate personally ensured that we were pleased with all aspects of the job. We highly recommend Stamped Concrete Specialists.

Nate and his crew showed up on time and finished my project with in two days. They did excellent job cleaning up afterwards. Not to mention I know have the nicest patio on my block. I would recommend to anyone. 

Nate (owner) is one of the more responsive contractors I have met.  He replied to emails, text, and phone calls in a timeline manner and was very personable. 
The work was done close to the scheduled date and when his crews did arrive, they were very courteous, careful not to damage my lawn, and asked me many questions about how I wanted my layout.   It took about 4 days from forms to finalizing the concrete.  They worked well into the evening to make sure the job got done.
Pricing was a little higher than other estimates, but Nate was fair when we needed to negotiate some adjustments to the job.
I am very happy with the work and would use them again.

Mar 24th ... Called Stamped Concrete Specialists Inc. to do a bid on a stamped concrete project.

Mar 26th ... President Nate Luth arrived and discussed our project.  He was very professional and cordial during our interaction.  We asked business related questions about the company regarding insurance, licensing and proof of such with the bid process.  He educated us on the colors of concrete we should be looking at because of the large volume of sun that the patios would be exposed to.  He provided a color brochure of colors and patterns and we indicated we would like to see some of his completed projects.  He emails 9 photos showing different colors and patterns and we found that very helpful.

Mar 31st ... I emailed Nate to inform him that we accept his bid on the project, not because of price of $4500 ($300 difference from competitors bid) but because he would use his crew to remove our brick pavers where the competitor was going to use Craig's List to solicit unknown people to remove the pavers for free then if he didn't get a response he would have his crew remove the pavers.  Job scheduled for June 2015.

Apr 23rd ... Contacted Nate via email to insure project was still on the books as he had not used credit card info to cover project acceptance fee.

Approx Apr 25th ... Received phone call from Nate who indicated he would use charge card info in a couple of days.  Hadn't done the charge because of busy schedule.

Jun 8th ... sent email to Nate for tentative date of project that was scheduled for June ...

Jun 15th ... No response to email and just in case he was on vacation during the week, I then called and left message that I was getting concerned and would appreciate a call from him.

Jun 16th ... Received return call from Nate ... he indicated project was on and he would be at the house with a crew in the morning.

Jun 17th ... Crew of 5 arrived at approx. 8:05 AM and left around 5:30 PM.  During the time they laid pads to protect the grass and sprinklers, used a motorized cart to remove the the brick pavers, leveled the base for all three locations, moved and realigned several large rocks, created forms for all locations, had lunch, upon arrival of concrete transported same via motorized cart from front of house to side and rear locations, finished concrete surface at all locations, stamped pattern on all locations, cleaned their tools, cleaned up all debris and covered all fresh cement with plastic because rain was on the way.

Jun 18th ... Different crew of 2 arrived at approx. 8:07 AM and left around 11 AM.  These guys removed the frames, power washed the new concrete, then washed all rocks and landscape blocks that had over spray on them, cut expansion joints in the new concrete and picked up additional debris from the frame work.  They didn't seal the new concrete because rain was in the forecast.

Jun 19th ... My wife reports that 2 guys showed up around 11 AM, sealed all the new concrete and left approx. an hour and a half later ... project completed

1st Day on site:    They removed an existing concrete patio, laid Forms for the New Patio and Garden Wall.

2nd Day on site:  They poured and stamped all concrete and cleaned-up the site, including pressure washing of all areas impacted by the project.

Final Day on site:  Color & Staining:  Because no 2 batches of concrete can be exactly matched as the same color, and there were multiple pours for this project, there was some effort required to get a perfectly matched patio. That was understood going into the project to a certain extent (and we'll admit we had a moment of panic before they finished), but their "staining expert" is AWESOME; an artist. He did a fantastic job matching everything in the end. We were extremely pleased with the final color & staining.

These guys work very hard and provide a great product.

The only 'constructive criticism' we would have is that planning and communication over the phone (when not on-site or talking face-to-face) could have been a tiny bit improved. That is not to say we were unhappy. They diligently worked to ensure we were satisfied with the final product, even long after the job was completed. Nate and his crew are outstanding and we would recommend them to anyone!

Patio size was ~400 square feet & included Lights with a Control Box. Garden Wall was about 17 feet long.

Nate and his crew were incredibly professional and courteous. He gave us a very affordable quote and was very punctual. We got a patio and walkway put in last year and our job turned out amazing. It all looks wonderful. We are very happy with the end product. The company came in and in a week all the work was done. We had a few days of rain so it couldn't be sealed until rain done, but as soon as the weather cleared up it was completed.

They had a busy season, so the only bad part was having to wait a couple months before they could do the work. Otherwise, it went great. The owner, Nate came out to do the quote and the layout work. His guys cleaned up after each day of work, and the patio looks great. We also had some parts of the patio stained, but weren't quite sure what colors to use to get the effect we wanted. Nate had his guys pour a sample slab for us and bring a few stains to try on that before staining our actual patio . . . That was a big help! Nice to work with a small company that valued our business.

Another few months have passed and the patio that is now only  a year and a half old has many new white spots all over the patio and the cracks from the last update have also turned white about 2 inches wide. I wish I could post pictures to show how terrible it looks.

Update 6/2015 - Although the cracks still exist they did come back out after my last update and have recoated the patio and got rid of all the white spots. The patio looks much better and we can't see the cracks as well now. They offered to come back again if the white spots return. I appreciate that they have made the patio look much better.

It went very well in general, his work crew showed up on time and did the work faster than he estimated. Nate kept in contact with us and showed up the first day to coordinate with his crew. He also sunk some fence posts that we needed installed since we demo'ed our old deck and he had the concrete on site. Overall, his crew worked hard and left our yard in great shape.
The only negative is that the vinyl siding had visible gaps to the housewrap where the old decking used to be. I had to purchase and install siding to fix these gaps. However since it wasn't discussed in our quote or with the crew it's somewhat understandable.

I scheduled the job in June and had wanted to get it done before labor day. Almost met that deadline despite this being one of the rainiest summers ever... finished two days after. The crew was hard working and seemed to know their jobs well. It was a 3 day process. Day one was tearing down the deck and prepping the area for the cement. Day two was pouring and stamping the cement. Day three was cleaning and sealing. Word of warning: the sealer gives off quite noxious smelling fumes for a couple of days.
Also, a fine black powder is used to make the stamped concrete look and quot;agedand quot;. It was windy the day of the pour and it blew all over our back yard. This stuff sticks to your shoes and we have been tracking it in for weeks.
Overall, we are very satisfied with our new patio and think it looks great!

It was well done. They cleaned up well and did what they had to do. They left a nice product as far as I can tell right now. I have no reason to complain and I think they did what they were supposed to do. The price was worth it and it looks good back there. It was exactly what I expected to have happen. It was a good company.

Fall 2013 Install
Excellent.  The owner, Nate, was very professional and honest.  This was a big job, having to remove & pour 1,100 Sq Ft of cement from a fenced in back yard, and around an in-ground pool.  Nate's crew did a fantastic job from start to finish.   We love our new stamped concrete patio & pool deck.
A side note:  After my pool contractor did his prep work and gave the okay for the cement to be poured, Nate pointed out a few problems that needed correcting before he could pour; a less reputable company may have gone ahead and poured?  This lead to me firing my original pool contractor and hiring a new one to complete the job correctly.  I owe a huge thank you to Nate for this.

QUALITY UPDATES

Summer 2014 - Approximately 16 0f 20 pool cover screw / anchors chipped the surrounding cement.  Nate came out and sealed, patched them.  Seemed good at the time, but starting to chip again in 2015.   Also, 4' long crack along base of equipment pad. Nate had this sealed.  Starting to crack more and chip in 2015.  

Summer 2015 - I counted 12 different cracks all over pool deck.  Also, 12 different chips (quarter size) all over.  Also, corner of pool cement has chipped away about 4" diameter.  No idea if this is "mother nature" or faulty install.  I've called, texted, emailed Nate several times all summer.  Nearing end of summer, he has yet to inspect issues.

Nate was very communicative and answered all questions I had. He was able to work my work into his busy spring schedule quickly.
His team worked hard and professionally. They perfectly executed the plans we had drawn up without any issues.
The concrete work looks great and I am more than satisfied. In addition,
I know Nate has done numerous work in my neighborhood and all his
clients have been satisfied. He was referred to me by these neighbors
and I am glad I chose him to do the work. Thanks Nate!

The driveway was regular concrete with stamped concrete for the walk ways, porches, and stairs. Only major thing that was a problem is the length of time between delivery of cement. There was a gap of over an hour while the crew waited for the second cement truck to arrive. While I did not think much of this, my dad says that can cause problems in the future. So, only time will tell if we have problems.
Little problems here and there came up and a call to Nate was all it took for the problem to be resolved.
We are very happy with our new driveway and love the look of the stamped concrete stairs. Very pleased!

The staff that performed the work was professional, pleasant, and had the appropriate experience to provide a quality service and product.
